Wonderful, relaxing trip to Jekyll Island. Home is clean and very well appointed.

We enjoyed the beach and bike rides. Also had fun watching deer stroll through the property.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A very comfortable and relaxing stay. The beds were one of the best features. It's a nice size house, not cramped at all. Backyard opens right up to the dunes and the boardwalk was right off the backyard which was perfect. Very glad for covered parking since it rained two days while we were there. I would definitely stay there again. There were a couple loose-ish tiles on the floor, but it was a minor annoyance.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I stayed 6 days at ‘Always Turtle Crawl’ on Jekyll Island. The house was located right at the beach, and the steps that lead over the dunes to the beach were located practically in the backyard. Certainly made it easy to access the beach, but go back to the house for bathroom breaks. We enjoyed the peaceful setting, and saw several deer walking in the yard. The house was roomy, clean and well equipped. We would recommend for a couple, or a family of 8.

Great Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was a little tired - could use some updates to the plumbing, AC and appliances, but the location more than made up for it - literally steps to the beach. Very quiet neighborhood (at least in May) and we were often the only people on the beach for a 1/4 mile or more. Don't be afraid of the door locks - yes they had a trick to them, but the instructions are printed on the doors and once you practiced a few times it was easy. The outdoor furniture is in need of repair or replacement and wasn't very usable, but again, location, location, location.

Reviewer Comments: The house was very roomy with 3 bedrooms having bathroom in each bedroom which was perfect since me and my husband brought my mom and brother along. Big full kitchen giving us the option to cook out own meals. And, two seperate sitting areas. The house was dated and the owners need to make some minor repairs plus clean out a bit. Lots of stuff left in cabinets and garage that you can tell is no longer used or unusable. Needs new outdoor seating. Outdoors chairs on patio are dry rotted and broken. But, overall a good location and the cleaning service is doing a great job. You can see the ocean and beach if you walk to the very back of the property. The adjacent beach access was flooded but all of them were in that section. The beach access is lots of steps up and down but has a good view from the landing up top.

Just walk out the back door to the path. Can be a beach in a minute. The locks on the doors are a little bit of a trick to figure out - takes a little focus. Will definitely book again if available.Shout out to Jekyll Island Realty. We had loaded up and were about to leave and vehicle battery was dead. They had a very nice maintenace person there within 30 minutes to jump us off.

Enjoy being so close to beach access with a backyard for enjoying the sounds of the ocean from our hammocks under tree shade. The beach does disappear as tide rises, and there are rock like formations (paleosol from ancient forest stands) in the general area- but we don’t mind. Jekyll Realty is always great, ensuring house is ready and there if you need them. We’ll be back.

Reviewer Comments: This was actually our second stay at this house, we were there 18 days in January and came back for 5 more days in February following an interim excursion to Florida. This house is ideally situated, just steps from the beach access, with a very private back yard where you can hear the waves breaking and see a bit of ocean through a dip in the dunes. We had breakfast in the back yard every morning and enjoyed frequent walks on the beach. The house is spacious and the interior looks to have been fairly recently redone. The furniture is comfortable, though the upholstery is generally in need of a revival. The layout worked well for us, with one room on one side of the house and two on the other, each with its own bathroom. One of the bedrooms and one of the two living areas caught the morning sunshine. The windows open and have screens, to let the air flow through on nice days. Jekyll Realty are on the Island and really helpful. We noted a few minor problems on arrival, and someone was there the next morning to take care of those. One day we found ourselves locked out, and someone was there in minutes to get us inside. Overall, we found this to be a very enjoyable place to stay, which is why we booked it for a second round.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had both daughters and their significant others for a birthday celebratuin so it was nice to have 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. The master btah was fine but showers in the 2 baths were quite small. The cokmon areas were large with plenty of sesting and the kitchen items in the house provided all we needed. It is a nice location with beach access via stairs right next to the property. And the back yard has enough foliage to give privacy.

Perfect for what we needed

The houses was exactly as the listing shows. The furniture has some stains and the comforters need a good wash but everything else was exactly as it was shown! Perfect location!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent over a week at Always Turtle Crawl. We have been to Jekyll numerous times the last 20 years but first time at this property. It is a great location, in good shape, was clean and Jekyll realty was great to deal with. It is right on the beach and convenient to shopping and restaurants. A couple notes, the kitchen utensils could use an update (knives dull, no working can opener etc) but that is minor. A little bigger issue is the door locks. They are ancient and hard to use. We worried we would not be able to lock them when leaving or unlock on returning. It may have happened to someone already and if not, will. They should be replaced with safe, modern looks. But our stay overall was great and Jekyll realty is great to deal with.

Important things, that really affect your stay. It's a shame to spend that much to stay just or a week and then spend the whole week reporting problems and having repairmen in and out during your one week off with your family. Put some of the money back into these houses so people can actually enjoy their vacation!

Great beach access

The property was clean and comfortable for our party of four. Easy access to beach due to being next to a beach access. The part of the beach next to this house was far enough away from the hotel crowds to where most of the time it was nearly a private beach.

Much better location than they describe.

It is literally a five foot walk from the backyard to the boardwalk taking you directly to the beach. The beach is available almost all day. It was a perfect location.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great. Very close to the beach with a good view. Access to #16 boardwalk was within 100 feet. The home itself was not so great. It has potential but the furniture is tired and stained. We spend our first afternoon cleaning the appliances and washing kitchen utensils. There were layers of dirt in drawers and on upper bookshelves. We understand this is a bargain priced rental so maybe that is the "price to pay", but we could have done without rusty bicycles, broken lawn chairs and gritty grills that litter the place. Again, the view was great, but I found myself cleaning the windows to wee it.
