This luxury home is located in the quiet area of Fort Morgan and has breathtaking views of the Gulf of Mexico. Avocet is equipped to comfortably sleep 22 guests. Relax on the beach which is just steps away or take a dip in the private pool.  About Avocet

This direct beachfront home has a private pool built right into the deck. Guests can enjoy the deck while lounging in the sun and taking in the amazing views. The home offers easy access to the sugary sand and the Gulf of Mexico. The secluded beach is a bonus that brings people back year after year! Another wonderful feature of Avocet is the screened in porch, complete with rocking chairs. You can enjoy the shade with a cool beverage and still be outside with the rest of your group!

Inside this beautiful home guests will find a spacious kitchen and dining room with plenty of windows all around. The kitchen has two sinks with a drink fridge and ice machine. The comfortable living area features a large wrap around couch for plenty of movie watching as a family! The living room leads out to the pool for everyone to enjoy.

Bedroom #1 is on the 1st floor with a king bed and private bathroom. Bedroom #2 is on the 1st floor and has a queen bed with a set of twin bunk beds along with a private bathroom. Bedroom #3 is on the second floor with two queen beds with a private bathroom and its own private balcony. Bedroom #4 is also furnished with two queen beds and its own private bathroom as well. Bedroom #5 has two queen beds and there is a sitting room with 2 futons.

About Fort Morgan

Fort Morgan is a quiet beach community away from the crowds and congestion. On the peninsula, guests will find the following restaurants: Tacky Jacks 2, Sassy Bass, Coast Restaurant, The Village Hideaway, and The Kiva Grill. Guests can play golf at the Peninsula or at Kiva Dunes. There is an accessible boat launch and marina at the Gulf Shores Marina at Fort Morgan. Last but not least, there is a historical Civil War Site to explore at the Fort Morgan Historic Site. There is something for everyone in Fort Morgan!

Rental Age Policy

We love people of all ages, and we want everyone to enjoy our homes. However, we do require that an adult 25 years or older reserve the home and be present at the home during your entire stay. We do not rent to anyone under the age of 25. We have no exception to this policy.

Perfect location for the beach. Pool is small but clean and has benches to relax in at end of day. House is a little dated but fairly clean and kept up well. We had a couple issues with washer but they gave us quick attention.

Great location and house

We had a dream trip with a couple other families. The beach was perfect the house was comfortable (including the beds). The tv area was great for a big crowd.

Great place if you have many children in your group.

We had 8 adults and 8 children age 4 months-9 years old and I can't explain enough how perfect the place is for watching kids at the pool and the beach from the kitchen, dining room and the den and screened in porch. We plan to stay at the same place next year. Thanks

Wonderful vacation experience!

A beautiful vacation home! It was a perfect setup for our large family vacation. Beautiful views of the beach from the dining area. Loved the screened in porch. Our grandchildren especially loved swimming in the pool and then running right to the ocean to play. We watched dolphins every day, saw fisherman catching sharķs and stingrays. We all had a great time!

Amazing location close to the ocean.

Was an amazing time for the beach life. Very roomy, comfortable and very clean house. Would rent this place again hands down. Only thing would be nice to have hand rails going up the steps from parking area to the house. Other then that amazing place and worth every penny.

Perfect Family Home

Our family of 7 stayed in this house and had everything we needed. It was very clean and well stocked. The photos don’t lie. It really is right on the beach. We had a couple of questions and they responded quickly. We will definitely use the Harris Group again!

Perfect

This is our third time staying here and I couldn’t be happier! I wish I owned this house. The view is unbeatable. The house is perfectly set up so you can see the beach from everywhere. Clean, fully Stocked, and room for everyone. I will rent again and again. I love you avocet.

A heated pool and Gas Grill would be great. Please exterminate the house as rain was coming in, roaches/ water bugs started to take over residence.

Spring Break Gem

We haven’t been able to take a family trip for over 3 years. We finally decided this years spring break was the year. We looked for places from Pensacola through orange beach. Then this one popped up and it was just perfect! The house is right on the beach with a pool and a view! We can say enough about how wonderful the house is, the pictures don’t do it justice. Was clean and obviously plenty of space for just our family of 5. We are definitely looking forward to our next years spring break and highly recommend this property!

Long awaited Family Vacation 2022

The house was very nice and accommodated our family well. The pool was awesome for the small children and the view of the ocean from the kitchen and dining room area was so relaxing. We saw dolphins and while in the ocean we did see three small sharks. And of course jellyfish were close by as well. After staying in such a beautiful and relaxing home like the Avocet, we won’t stay in another hotel for our beach vacation again. Lol So nice to not have to share our pool with strangers. And wait on an elevator with hands full of beach chairs and umbrellas. We did have to call for maintenance on a couple of occasions. The deck lights and plugs weren’t working on the deck area, some of the spindles around the deck are loose. My three year old grand daughter was holding on to one coming down the stairs from the screened in porch and it gave away and she almost fell. Just concerned for other small Children. Also the upstairs shower started leaking onto one of the beds downstairs. And the plumbers had to cut a hole out in the ceiling over the bed. It was a broken seal in the pipe. We did tape a trash bag over the hole. And not able to use that bathroom for the remainder of our stay. And on Wednesday night our code to the door wouldn’t work after dinner. We called in and waited about fifteen minutes for a call back, we called another number and the lady on the phone gave us another code. But all is well. The maintenance team were quick to respond to all the problems. Also we did see a couple of big roaches in the kitchen area. That needs to be addressed quickly. All that said I still would recommend The Avocet to anyone looking for a great vacation home. We will be back!
