Spacious House on the Water - Lake Cumberland

Perfect for big families or groups with a large kitchen and common area, spacious bedrooms, and large deck overlooking the lake. Plenty of activities nearby year round from boating, to hiking to shopping and dining in Somerset. Let us help you plan your activities!

We pride ourselves on providing a clean, fun environment for our guests. We stay at vacation rentals a lot and you can always tell what properties are just an investment and which ones the owners use themselves. We have a lot of extras like tons of kitchen utensils, bowls, etc. and plenty of towels. Plus we have corn hole boards and bags, lots of games and toys for kids, a fire pit with stocked wood, etc. We even have things you may forget like a toothbrush, sunscreen, etc. We want you to be able to fully relax when you get here!

Please note: While we are on the water, there is no lake access from the house. When you’re on the lake at Cumberland it’s beautiful because there are very few docs, you can’t cut trees down at the lake shore and it’s a steep incline. Therefore most houses don’t have docs or lake access. However, we’re in a great spot with a lot of close lake access points. In case you’re new to Lake Cumberland I just want to set the right expectations!

We celebrated my wife’s 50th birthday with family who traveled from Florida and Massachusetts and we had an absolute blast. The house was well stocked and comfortable with plenty of amenities for our while crew. Were planning a yearly trip back.

Gaming Get Together

My friends and I rented the cabin for a weekend of board gaming and catching up. The kitchen was put to great use and we appreciated the open space, variety of cookware and utensils. The fire pit was the perfect place to watch the Geminid meteor shower, too!

Slice of peace and quiet by the water

Such a great choice, we def will be back! The property was very well kept. The hosts provided a super sweet welcome basket with some essentials. The kitchen is so special and made it easy for us to cook together, while looking out on the lake. There were bathrooms on every floor, a cozy living area with smart TV, the kitchen was super well stocked for anything we'd want to cook. So much was provided that we wouldn't have even thought of that improved our stay greatly. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get away for a little bit of you-time or a simple vacation with friends with all the comfort of home.

Perfect quiet family getaway

We stayed here on our first trip to Kentucky, the house did not disappoint. Plenty of room for 5 adults and 4 young teenagers. We did not feel cramped and there was plenty of beds. Fenced yard for the dogs too! The kids loved the loft. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. Lovely gift basket upon arrival. The host was quick to answer all of our questions. Highly recommend this location.

Beautiful lake house

Beautiful home with amazing lake views! Our family enjoyed our Christmas vacation in this lovely house that was super inviting, roomy, and clean. Our host was easy to communicate with and very accommodating.... even left a welcome basket of goodies! We hope to return in the future!

Wonderful Stay!

Had a wonderful time and this house is perfect! New upgrades were great! Comfy beds and great large kitchen. We were able to block off the back porch so that the grandbaby and dogs were contained while adults enjoyed music and conversation. Firepit is the best and we even had a meteor shower as a light show!

Great family/group lake house

We enjoyed our stay and had so much fun on the lake. The home offers plenty of room for larger families/groups. The house was also very clean and well stocked with supplies. I love that we never ran out of clean towels! The welcome basket was perfect and very thoughtful. A lot of detail was put into this lake house to make it very comfortable and enjoyable. It was just a short drive to Conley Bottom Marina where we rented a boat slip that was perfect for our daily boating and water activities. Communication with the owners was excellent.

property was cozy, well-stocked, and had the perfect layout for my family

Our family of 15 thoroughly enjoyed our stay here oh and our puppy ranger !! I give this cabin 5 stars and A+++ We celebrated 2 birthdays during our stay The cabin is a 10/10! Very clean with everything we needed its close to 3 different marinas we all had plenty space The kitchen was more than stocked and accommodating The fence was perfect for ranger :) every thing was so-so great !! the kids loved the games and yummy smores they made out by the fire pit we cant thank you enough (Kate)for sharing your property with us she did check in on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. Already planning a trip back next summer

Lots of space!

There were 8 of us and there was plenty of room to cook, sleep, and hang out. We did notice an occasional strong odor from the nearby animal farms. Overall, we had a great time during our stay.

Very spacious indeed. Close to the Marina. Looks small outside but very spacious inside. Kitchen is complete with utensils. Our kids had so much fun during our stay. They love the bonfire as well. Highly recommended.

Fantastic!

Beautiful place to stay. Stayed for a week with my family (8 people). There was plenty of room for all of us. Rented a boat about 40 minutes away and had a blast on the lake. The huge kitchen was a big plus (as we all like to cook), and the house is close to nice grocery stores. Would 100% recommend!

Great deck with beautiful view of lake

We had a very relaxing few days, just what was needed. The house was very large as described with a very well stocked kitchen. The fenced in yard and baby gates were great to let the dog play, but not get too far out of site. I'd definitely recommend but emphasize that there is another cabin on the property thats very close. It wasn't an issue at all, but surprised how close it was. The welcome basket was a nice touch and the welcome binder had lots of good suggestions. The fire pit looks like a great place to hang out next time with the lake view and stocked woodpile.

Family weekend trip

Our group of 10 ranging in age from 2-71 had a wonderful time! The house was exactly as pictured but still exceeded our expectations. The kids were delighted with the assortment of toys and games. I was thrilled with such a well-appointed kitchen. The flexible gating options on the stairs and deck are a real plus for families traveling with very young children. The views of the lake were incredible. Coffee on the deck listening to the birds was so relaxing! And Kate was so easy to work with. Very responsive before and during our stay. So many thoughtful touches, including a welcome basket with everything we needed to make s’mores with the kids plus a bottle of wine for the grownups. We would love to return when the weather warms up enough to really enjoy the lake.

Great Experience

Great cabin for all seasons! Came here in the summer for fun on the lake and loved it! Decided to see it in the winter and do some hiking in the area. The view of the lake from cabin is beautiful and went to Pulaski park to hike, which was great! We’ll be back

Amazing weekend with family

We had an amazing New Years weekend with family. The house is very nice, plenty of room, plenty of parking and everything we could need. We had age 8 months all the way up to 64 years and everyone had a wonderful time. We had no need to contact the owners but I’m sure we would have promptly got help had we needed it. We hope to get to stay again sometime!

Hi - I'm Kate. My family and I have spent years enjoying Lake Cumberland and wanted to find a place that we love and could and share with others! We adore this house because you can have multiple groups enjoy it easily since there is plenty of space, a large deck and 3 1/2 baths. We spent quite a bit of time last year updating it and can't wait for you to stay.

We also love helping people plan their time in the area and on the lake so please don't hesitate to ask or tell us about your group so we can provide recommendations. Also, we're always available by phone if you should need anything during your stay.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

We love this area because it's close to Somerset where there's good restaurants, anything you could need as far as shopping, etc but our house is still very private being on the end of a road on the lake. Plus, we're close to our favorite marina, Conley Bottom. We're about the same distance to Burnside if you prefer that. It makes days on the lake easy and people can come and go as they please if you have a large party.

There's also a drive-in movie theatre close by, golfing, hiking at Daniel Boone Forest, the water park, etc. You could easily keep a family entertained here for a week!
