Modern Village Center Ski In/Out Condo with Slope Views

Just like its namesake indicates, the Village Center is at the epicenter of the Purgatory Ski Resort experience. There is no better location for your winter or summer adventures.

Our 2 bedroom/2 bathroom single level condo (Unit 501) was completely remodeled and offers views of the slopes from both bedrooms as well as the Main Living Space. The condo also features a gas grill, washer/dryer and WIFI. The building features a hot tub on the roof with area views, a restaurant, 2 bars, an arcade, a slope side deck, Purgatory’s ski school, the Purgatory childcare facility, 2 ski rental shops (one for high performance gear), and the resort’s premier shopping location, Purgatory Sports. With the deli right next door offering great sandwiches, breakfast, and light groceries, you truly won’t have to get in your car after you arrive.

Book 7+ nights and a 10% discount is automatically applied.

For an optional 4% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango Mountain Club which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub and workout facility. The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club. When booking, just advise if you would like the extra 4% resort fee added.

Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

Very nice Condo for being in the Village Center building. The building maintenance & cleanliness was better this year. The host was very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed Spring Break having the slopes a few steps out the door!

positives - great location, quality beds, cleannegatives - key system horrible, needed for entry, for elevator, to select floor, and for door. and always required multiple attempts to scan. three different Tv’s, all different systems, required streaming/subscription services, cabinets and dressers, either door hinges sprung or guides on drawers broken, would fall out when opened. Kitchen was “tired”, old appliances, pots/pans, dishware. No water pressure in tubs/showers, sulfur odor in water at times. several wall outlets non functional. shades on window in main bedroom were all damaged, on was just an old shade/sheet of paper stapled into the frame of the window.

The condo was updated; well-equipped and tastefully decorated. Loved the location and view of the slopes and summer activities. Some of the windows had broken cranks and many of the blinds need replacing. Also the shower door in the extra bedroom is poorly designed to where it leaks all over the bathroom floor (our only complaints!).

Great destination

Cleanliness issues and lack of firewood, due to staff shortage. Location and ski in and out made up for it. I would return and recommend.

Great views!

Our stay was wonderful! The description of the condo was spot in. The condo was spacious, beds were comfortable, views of mountains were gorgeous, decor was pretty, and more! I would highly recommend renting this condo. The only thing that I would recommend is that the pans and silverware need to be replaced. Everything else was perfect!

Superb accomodations and location!

This condo in Purgatory's Village Center is the perfect location to be in the center of everything. It overlooks the Alpine Slide and Mountain Coaster. Beautiful view of the mountains. Easy access to Durango, Silverton, Ouray, and Telluride. The condo was exceptionally clean and very well decorated. Lots of extras available too - fans/heaters, extra pillows/blankets, etc. Covered garage parking is a plus also! The two bedrooms and fold-out couch can easily accomodate six people - very roomy and comfortable. My wife and I will definitely consider staying here again on our next trip to Purgatory.

Great location to the lifts and restaurant was outstanding

The condo is absolutely had beautiful views of the mountain and the condo was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Although, one suggestion would be to upgrade the dishwasher, and all pots & pans. And the flatware. Lots of these items are looking pretty rough. The beds were and the couch were very comfortable. We also enjoyed the wood burning fireplace. Thank you for sharing your beautiful condo. We will be back.

Wonderful Property

The place was beautiful..Beautiful view and a nice spacious place. It just needs some extra care and a deep clean. Very dusty, cabinets dirty, above doors, light fixtures and floor. We complained and someone came back and dusted most everything but still needs a deep clean. Would stay again but needs some TLC

Wonderful Family Trip

Given the property, check-in process was a little different than previous VRBOs, however directions were easy to follow. Property was everything we had hoped for. Very clean and an incredible view. Given the unusual heat wave during our visit the lack of air-conditioning was an initial concen, however was never an issue. Property was comfortable and fans were available if we needed them. Property was an easy walk to everthing we wanted to do during our stay. Its worth checking the hours of stores/restaurants on the mountain; dinner options were reduced to pizza in the evenings. We had a great time and look forward to returning.

The condo itself is just steps from the elevator to the ski shop, rentals, and lessons. It made it easy to come in for lunch and then pop right back out onto the slopes. The living/dining room furniture was all comfortable and we spent plenty of evenings hanging out there playing games and watching movies. The beds were a bit firm for our tastes, but someone else might find them perfect. The only item that disappointed was the kitchen. We cook a lot and the dishwasher does not do a very good job of actually getting the dishes clean. We ended up hand washing a lot of items. On the plus side , the property manager is proactive, super responsive and accommodating. When we noted that the oven mitts were missing, they delivered new ones the very next day. We absolutely love staying with Vacation Rental Collective.

When we arrived 2 days after Christmas at 8:00 pm in a snowstorm for our one week long ski vacation, the unit had not been cleaned up from the prior stay. As in piles of trash in garbage bags, soiled linens piled up on the bed, dirty towels piled on the floor, toilets and showers dirty, it had never been touched by a cleaning crew. The only way I could get in touch with the property management company was through email. They attempted to be responsive By dropping off some clean linens and sending two ladies late at night who told me they were really too tired to clean up the unit with us in there and they will come back during the week. That never happened. And my unit never did get clean for the whole week we were there. We did the cleaning ourselves. Otherwise it is a beautiful location, pretty nicely appointed unit, with great access to the slopes. Just watch the management company because it is not part of Purgatory Resorts and upon checking in they will tell you it is a privately managed unit and the resort is not responsible for the quality..

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and we are glad to hear you enjoyed the property and its location. We do include our email and phone number on ALL communications so you can reach us in whatever way you are most comfortable with. I do apologize that the clean had been missed and we know this is not at all what guests want to walk in to after driving through a snowstorm to get here. We did drop off some linens to get you through the night so we could have the housekeepers come back out. Clearly, them being too tired is not a good option and they should have come the following morning FIRST THING. Again, we sincerely apologize about this as this is not at all consistent with our normal standards. We were happy to refund you the entire cleaning fee since it was never completed. We are separate from Purgatory Resort so we do hope you call us and not their front desk so we can assist as soon as possible. Again, we apologize for the missed clean and were glad to refund the amount since it was not taken care of. Other than that, we are so glad you enjoyed the condo and its easy slope access. It was a pleasure to host you.

Perfect Location

The positives. The best location. Kids ski school, rentals, and day care are all on the second floor. You do not have to leave the building. Negatives. The home was remodeled but lacked some items that need updating. Dishwasher is in poor condition and you have to rewash all the dishes before use bc of soap stains. The washer and dryer need to be replaced. The bathrooms are not really updated. Kitchen lacks some items for cooking such as a larger pan for cooking. Fridge makes a horrible noise. Some items that the unit owner can not control is the building maintenance. Trash piling up outside the main entrance. The entire lobby and drop off was not clean. The bell cart can barely fit in the elevator. The elevator needs service shakes from floor 4 to 5. The stores are closed for the season and the staff has mentally checked out for the season. It was noticeable across the board in every service transaction except the day care and ski school.
