Eclectic Bungalow in the Heart of the City

Hosted personally by owners who live 10 minutes away. Blocks from city center, restaurants & night life, this cheerful, turn of the century bungalow is a great home base for your adventures in the Black Hills! Enjoy the classic sounds of church bells and echos of live music from downtown from the front porch or as you grill in the fenced in back yard. One level living with laundry room in the back room. Contactless checkin with door code provided before checkin.

Our classic 1-story brick home built in 1904 boasts original craftsmanship, but has been recently renovated with modern amenities. We love this unique space and the history & stories it must have to tell within its walls.

This designated vacation rental is equipped with everything you need, along with a community cabinet with some cooking essentials if you choose to use shared items. New stainless appliances, gas range stove, full size laundry, and all new linens on new memory foam mattresses. Large smart TV to stream favorite programs along with a plethora of local channels will satisfy down time.

Within 30 minutes of Mount Rushmore, Keystone, Hill City, & less than an hour from Custer State Park, Badlands, Deadwood, Wind/Jewel Cave, Hot Springs and Wall Drug, your adventures are sure to keep you quite busy! Hikes around Pactola and Sheridan Lake are also just a short drive away.

As locals of the Black Hills, we are delighted to share our favorite things to experience, depending on your interests. We have a long history of serving guests in the hospitality industry and have loved branching out in this new industry! We are always available if you need anything :)

Nice to stay in an historic cabin. Very convenient to downtown. Easy parking, quiet setting, roomy. Laundry was convenient to have. We visited many of the sites in the area before, it was nice to explore Rapid City.

Great little place walking distance to downtown Rapid City. Well-stocked, comfy beds, appreciated the washer/dryer. Perfect home base for two couples to explore the city and surrounding areas like Badlands, Black Hills, Custer State Park, Deadwood, and even Devil’s Tower. Great communication from our host; We would stay there again!

My daughter and I enjoyed our five night stay. Property was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Neighborhood was safe and easy to walk to local restaurants. Communication with host was very fast. If I’m ever in Rapid City, I would stay here again.

This delightful little house was ideally situated for visiting the state attractions ie Deadwood, Custer, Mt Rushmore and Badlands, with easy access to major roads.The house was homely, reasonably equipped for our stay in a very quiet neighbourhood, and convenient for local shopping and dining out. We can recommend Safeway for groceries and the nearby Colonial House for delicious reasonably priced meals.

Place was as advertised. The bathrooms are small, but clean. The AC windows units were effective in the 110 degree heat, although bedroom doors and fans needed to be left open to receive the benefit. Great water pressure and functional kitchen. Loved Rapid City and the Black Hills. What a welcome break from the humidity in Central IL! So this is what clean(er) air feels like!

SO cute and full of character!Location was great to downtown and to access the routes to attractions.Communication with the host was immediate. We can't think of any suggestion for improvements. It was nice to have two bathrooms so we could spread out. Everything was spotlessly clean.100% better than any hotel room. We would stay here again !

Darling Home Close to Downtown

The location was perfect for our daily excursions to all of the tourist sites in the area and the kitchen was well stocked. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location in Rapid City

The property is very clean and was perfect for our visit. It's a great location for enjoying downtown restaurants and bars but also close to attractions like Mt Rushmore and Custer State Park. The process for checking in and out was very seamless and convenient. We'd definitely stay here again.

Tai was super easy to communicate with!! Beds are super comfy, kitchen had everything we needed, and the location was perfect for all the surrounding cities we wanted to see. Bathrooms were also stocked and lots of amenities. We would 100% return and stay here again!

Wife of an wonderful husband & mom to 2 beautiful children first and foremost. As a native to the Black Hills, I love this area and love sharing unique experiences and history of the area. My husband and I have been in the hospitality industry over 40 years combined. We have worked in motels, hotels, private properties, and multiple catering services, serving guests of all stature and in all different ways, both nationally and internationally. We love the industry and learning how to provide the best experience. We love bringing these old homes back to life and take pride in doing the renovation and decorating all on our own :)

Location, location, location. In the heart of downtown Rapid City, you can walk to Main Street Square events, like Movie Under the Stars, Weekly Concerts, and events or dine on the rooftop of the historical Alex Johnson while enjoying a sunset. Head straight out of town and be at Mount Rushmore in 20 minutes or enjoy a day exploring Keystone. This is a great central location to many Black Hills activities!
