- Please be aware that seaweed is a natural phenomenon that hits Quintana Roo beaches, especially during the summer months (Apr-Oct). While the local team at El Faro and the municipality do a great job in cleaning it up, it can affect your ability to enjoy the beach and the ocean, so please make yourself aware of the current state of the seaweed, as we cannot offer refunds for issues related to seaweed.

- The central location of this property gives you access to the best that downtown Playa del Carmen has to offer. Due to our location next to restaurants and bars, you may experience some noise at this location. We do not offer refunds for noise issues. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy your stay!

- Your booking automatically includes a damage protection policy. Should any minor accidental damages occur during your stay, we will cover you up to $1,000. We understand accidents happen, so we've got your back! However, if we determine damage was willful or negligent, we will charge an additional cost based on the damage itself.

- We have a no-tolerance rule about parties and loud noise, so please be aware that complaints from neighbors, notifications from authorities, notifications from our noise monitoring software, or any other proof of disruptive behavior or loud noise between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM will result in fines of up to $1000.00, possible eviction and / or possible legal action if authorities are involved.

-The beach condition changes every day, weather and hurricanes tend to affect how wide the sand area is in our photos- sometimes the water reaches up to the deck.

- Please note that due to El Faro's security protocols, before your arrival, we will request a photo of each guest's ID that will be at the property during your stay.

This lovely condo was located ideally on the beach, overlooking the infinity pool, and within easy walking to major shopping and dining. The condo was clean and well-stocked.

Playa Getaway

The property was stunning with the pool and the ocean views. The condo was very clean and well appointed. Location in relation to shopping, restaurants, walking, beach and Ferry was very convenient. We felt very safe and secure. We would absolutely stay at this spot again.

Great place, great trip

This unit is almost perfectly centered in the middle of the attractions here in Playa, perfect walking distance to both malls and the ferry dock. Quiet and low noise/foot traffic in/around the complex. It was too cold to swim in the pool but it was a beautiful space in the shared courtyard/pool area. Private/secured walkway to the beach. Will stay here again!

Family friendly

This is our second time staying at this condo. It provides beautiful views and friendly service. The security guards and cleaning staff monitor the area regularly. Most of the time we had the pool to ourselves, and enjoyed morning coffee on the balcony with beautiful views. Its quiet and relaxing, and a 3 min walk to the main strip with all the shops, restaurants and clubs. The buildings are quiet and clean and the front desk staff are very helpful. The inside of the condo, was clean and had regular cleaning service. We will definitely be staying again.

Playa Del Carmen Stay

Our family stayed there for 8 nights in Feb. Place is located in the heart of playa. 5th Ave is half block away. Tons of restaurants/bars/shops to choose from. The pool was a bit cold for our kids but it was pretty windy while we were their. The condo does not have a oven, but has a small toaster oven. Check in was super easy. Their are lots of lounge chairs in the pool area but most people put down there towels around 8am to reserve them for the day. You could not reserve them on Sat or Sundays, but the policy was inconsistently enforced. Overall we were happy with the place and the location is fantastic, but we just wish the pool was a bit warmer and the lounger reservation system was a bit clearer.

Beautiful condo, beautiful view

We needed some warm weather and a relaxing vacation. This condo was spotless, roomy and had a gorgeous view of the ocean, fronted by the infinity pool. I love hearing and seeing the ocean, and this was perfect for it. There was a bit of noise from within the building from other guests, but nothing to disturb our rest. Location was close to shops, but not too close. The mattress was the best I’ve ever slept on during vacation! I wish the pool was heated, but I’m a wimp. Overall, a lovely condo. Other guests were friendly, and the front desk very accommodating.

El lugar es muy céntrico pues está a una calle de la quinta avenida, la vista al mar es genial. Las instalaciones son de buen gusto, agradables y funcionales para familias. Nos gusto mucho! Solo hubo 2 detalles, las camas no eran cómodas las almohadas olían a sudor a pesar de que las fundas estaban limpias. Y en cuestión de la administración hay espacio para poner camastros con vista al mar pero solo permiten ciertas zonas y una de ellas es donde está la recolección de zargazo expidiendo mal olor a pesar de esta situación no quisieron ser flexibles en ponerlos en otra área que no estorbara el paso.

The condo is located perfectly in the middle of everything. To your front pool and ocean views. To the right, shops, restaurants and ferry to cozumel. To the left and back, shopping and more restaurants. Security and police armed and ready to protect all around the town.

Great location!

We loved the proximity to the shops/restaurants. Walkable but still private resort feel. Beach front view with large pool was excellent. We didn't realize the unit didn't have a dishwasher or oven but other than that, they had everything we needed. Spacious bedrooms/bathrooms as well as family room. Really enjoyed our stay!

Great time

Unit 104 was very nice. There was 6 adults so with the 3 bedrooms it was perfect. The only issues we had was the blender did not work nor did the dryer. Guest Services was very fast to get us a new blender but the dryer issue was the element so it was not fixed prior to us leaving. Nice outside sitting area with a gas grill. This unit is on the first floor with a direct view of the ocean. Would stay here again. Used Canada Transfer they were wonderful.

Best Condo choice in Playa Del Mar

The location of the El Faro condo complex is really good as it is Ocean front and just a block from the 5th Avenue buzzing place. It also has the best pool amongst the lot as we took many walks along the beach and noticed the other places had smaller pools. The property was also very well managed with front reception always manned at advertised hours and many security and cleaning staff, all amazingly friendly (esp. Miguel, he is the best). Their professionalism and dedication is worth every penny of your tips. This particular apartment was REALLY well appointed and decorated: huge beds with quality mattresses, excellent showers, abundant supply of towels and toiletries (Dont bother messing with small shampoo and bath soap bottles for plane carry-on...) and very nicely decorated: It was like staying in 5 star luxury place, expect its much cheaper and you get to eat and cook what you want when you want… :)). If you are too board with the amazing views and swim, pls talk to Rogelio, he is the very nice gentleman (speaking very good english) who goes around with excursion folders around his arm and sits in an umbrella just right of El Faro beach. He hooked us with couple of great tours at very good prices. If you see him, pls say hello from Nour.

Coming back real soon!

This is our 2nd time to stay here & we're going back in Sept. There was a couple of things that need attention, the refrigerator leaked bad & the sliding door wouldn't close good because the screws were stripped & got in the way.That's about it. As far as dishes, for those of us who cook most of the time we're there, they could use a variety of sizes of bowls w/snap on lids for leftovers. I brought my own SHARP knife this time because last time we went they didn't have one, I didn't check this time. The pool was very relaxing & so convenient along with the ocean. Then 5th Ave is half a block from here & Walmart is 4 or 5 blocks straight up the st. from the front of the condos. We walk there then take a taxi back, the workers come out wuth a shopping cart to take your groceries to your room.They are very good about cleaning the place every other day. The helpers around the pool are very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay. Like I said going back....PLZ remember to tip anyone who helps you. I know some of them work 12 hrs a day 6 days a week.

LOVED IT!

We went with our 3 kids (16, 12, 10) - loved the location! Perfect compromise for beach goers and those that preferred the pool. Our youngest two were kept entertained by the pool and our oldest enjoyed people watching on the beach and swimming in the ocean. The best part about it was the proximity to 5th Street. We walked the street, ate and shopped every night! And started every morning at Starbucks - one block up. Also - security was good and the ceviche at Zenzie's (restaurant/bar next door) was awesome! Lastly - we were happy to have a ground floor unit so we could buzz in and out for food and drinks. We also enjoyed the grill/patio table/couch.
