Spacious mountain retreat nestled in Little Cottonwood Canyon - Alta/Snowbird

3,000 sq.ft (4 bd + 2.5 bath) vacation townhome nestled in the trees of Little Cottonwood Canyon in historic Granite, Utah - 10 minutes from Snowbird Resort and 5 minutes to shopping and restaurants. Gaze straight up from the front door or through the many skylight windows to look for mountain goats grazing along the steep canyon walls. Enjoy the sauna, mountain views from four balconies, games of darts or billiards, movie nights with high-speed internet, and gather around the fireplace for a relaxing evening after a home cooked meal in the large and well-equipped kitchen.

LOCATION!! Skip the 1-2 mile car line leading up to the canyon on powder days!! Police stop traffic from entering Little Cottonwood when the canyon is closed for avalanche control. You are positioned to enter the canyon ahead of the line once they open. And if you leave for breakfast and want to come back to the house, just tell the police you are heading to your house on Quarry Drive. They will let you through.

The house is within walking distance of three trailheads for winter snowshoeing or summer hiking:
1. Alpenbock Loop - easy 1 mile loop for hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing
2. Temple Quarry Trail to Little Cottonwood Trail - hiking, trail running, mountain biking and snowshoeing
3. Bells Canyon Trail - 1 mile to a gorgeous mountain reservoir, 2.3 miles to a beautiful waterfall, 5 miles to a 2nd waterfall, and 6 miles to a high elevation lake

Recreational equipment, from skis to paddle boards, can be rented ~2 miles away. In the winter months, grab your skis and head up the road to Snowbird/Alta, or drive to the next canyon to Solitude/Brighton. Or drive ~45 minutes to Park City to ski PCMR or Deer Valley... so many options! In the summer months, take your fishing poles to the Temple Quarry Trail or drive your paddle boards to the nearby lakes in Parley’s canyon, Park City area, or Uinta mountains. We are happy to help with trip suggestions and local favorites- you can ride horses in the 600 acre preserve one mile away, take a white water rafting trip 45 minutes away, or visit some of our favorite alpine lakes. No shortage of adventures here!!

Our townhome is perfect for 1-3 families, a getaway with a few friends, or up to 4 couples.

We recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle in winter if you plan to ski. The condo can accommodate 1 small / medium car in the garage plus one vehicle in the driveway.

This place is huge, and has lots of beds. It's very close to a bus stop to take up to Snowbird or Alta. We really liked the bonus of pool table in dartboard. They got a lot of use when we stayed there. It's also close enough to a grocery store where it's not a hassle to take care of your own meals. I do wish it had a hot tub though.

Amazing! Great space for our group of 6 but lots more room for bigger groups-lots of space for us to move around and not be on top of one another. Very comfortable beds. All the comforts of home and more! Fantastic location and super easy and quick jaunt to get up to snowbird- Host is very nice and super responsive if we had any questions or needed anything. Truly a great location and great accomadations! We plan to go back again next year!

We loved our stay at the condo. Carolyn is very attentive and responds quickly to messages. The condo itself is spacious and well equipped with everything you need. Easy access to Alta/Snowbird. Also close to an array of restaurants, grocery stores, and shops. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Great place!

We were so happy with our stay! The condo is very spacious and was great for our family. Highlights were the the pool table, sauna, and separate spaces to hang out. It was super easy to get to Alta/Snowbird. Not to mention equally as easy to get to the grocery store, restaurants, shops. etc. Would definitely stay here again!

Location, location, location. If you're serious about getting some skiing in, especially at Snowbird and Alta, this property delivers. Carolyn is super attentive and there when you need her. Great time, great place.

Loved our stay!!

Our group enjoyed our stay here!! We loved having entertainment with the pool table, dart board and games provided while we were snowed in!! Carolyn was also very generous and attentive during our stay to make sure the roads were plowed for us and that we had everything we needed!! This house was a 10/10 and accommodated our group of 7 with plenty of space!! We loved Utah + skiing snowbird and will definitely be back!

Perfect location/Perfect family home

We had a fabulous time at Carolyn's home!! We ranged from age 76 to 13 and everyone was happy with the place. The views are incredible and the home very cozy. The most important thing was that Carolyn was very personable and easily accessible.

great location to Snowbird/Alta! Lots of space and kitchen was well stocked with staples. Lots of fun playing pool and darts. Enjoyed the smaller private spaces for down time. Sauna was a treat. Thanks for sharing your mountain space with us!

Alta & Snowbird trip

Great location if you are skiing Alta & Snowbird. Lots of space for a large group. Fully stocked kitchen if you want to dine in. Restaurants and grocery stores are close. Quick response & good communication with the owner. Access to little cottonwood is above the intersection where the state troopers block off traffic in case of a road closure. No waiting in a long traffic line to get up the mountain.

The house is perfect!

Our family of 5 loved every minute of our trip to SLC and the house was a big part. Tons (I mean TONS) of space for everyone. Comfortable beds, all the amenities, easy to communicate with, etc, etc ,etc. If you are reading this and wondering if the house will work for your group - go for it! You won't be disappointed.

Feels like home

We loved staying in Carolyn’s townhouse. It had lots of areas to hang out in. The owner’s suite was huge with it’s own fireplace and sofa. Beds were very comfortable. We are a family of 4 but it would accommodate a larger group easily. The spacious kitchen was well laid out and open to the other rooms. Carolyn was very responsive via email. The location was very convenient to skiing. We would definitely rent this townhouse again for the next Utah ski vacation.

I moved to Sandy, UT in 2018 with my husband and two children. We moved from Northern California to raise our kids in a nature-focused environment, and we are all so happy we did! We fell in love with the Wasatch Front, and with the hiking and snowshoeing and skiing in Little Cottonwood Canyon. We feel so lucky to call this home.
