Island Winds West is a family-friendly beachfront resort that is within walking distance of fine-dining, shopping and concert/festival venues. Some activities include: charter fishing boats, boat & jet ski rentals, Para-sailing, dolphin cruises, sunset sailboat cruises, beautiful back bays for boating, tubing, skiing and fishing, amusement parks, great restaurants with entertainment for all ages, golf, outlet malls, live concerts at The Wharf Amphitheater, and of course, plenty of sugary sand beaches.

Policies:
1. Check in is 4pm | Check out is 10am.
2. You will receive a parking registration email after your reservation is made and you are encouraged to purchase your parking passes prior to arrival. PLEASE NOTE: Onsite parking is limited to 1 parking pass per condo (regardless of size) during Spring Break, mid May through mid August, Labor Day & Shrimp Fest in early October. Contact us for additional off-site parking options.
3. No Smoking in condo or on balcony.
4. Pets are NOT allowed.
5. Loud parties or gatherings will not be tolerated.
6. Must be at least 25 years old to rent. For groups of Single Adults, all guests in the group must be at least 25 years of age and proof of age will be required before approving the reservation.

Everything was okay.The shower was small and we had to buy a shower mat because the floor of the shower was slippery.Noisy in the morning, no sleeping in.

My husband and I stayed here for Sand in my Boots festival. Location for the festival was great! I could see the Main Stage from my balcony. Check in was a breeze, parking was easy, check out was easy.

Overall very good. Need more than lamps for lighting in the bedroom and a vent fan in the bathroom.

Really noisy

Every shower the upstairs unit takes sounds like a waterfall in the bedroom. If you’re a light sleeper, it’s miserable. The fitness center is next door. Doors, garbage trucks, elevators: you hear it all!

My fiance and I stayed here for our last trip before our baby and it was everything we could have wanted. It was clean, a few steps from the pool & beach. The staff was very nice. The only complaint was loud construction above us that started around 8:30 in the morning on Thursday and Friday and lasted until about 12. Other than that, everything was awesome.

Great location.

I liked the location and the property. I would prefer the property manager inform me when maintenance people are coming while I’m still sleeping to change an air filter. Was very upset about having to let someone in early in the morning.

Too expensive for amount of space. Great location but room was by elevator therefore it was very noisy.

Dale, thank you for reviewing your stay. Though the condo’s front door is located within proximity to the elevator, the weekend of your stay was during Gulf Shores’ 49th Annual Shrimp Festival. The festival was located directly below this condo, a heightened level of noise at this property during this weekend is to be expected. We apologize if you were unaware this was going on during your stay. Be sure to call us next time so we can make sure you are in the perfect spot to enjoy all of your vacation. Very - Very small condo for the price.

The property is close to everything you could want. There was sand in the bed when we arrived which concerned me whether the sheets were fresh or not. The condo overall was clean but extremely small for the price. There is no place in the unit to put your luggage or beach equipment. It was our 35th wedding anniversary. We did enjoy our stay.

Our HK staff is available to come back by the condo and assist with any HK issues that might have been missed. However, you did not contact us until after you checked out. Next time, please use the hotline provided to guests in the arrival information to report any concerns or requests to maintenance/housekeeping! In regard to space to put luggage or beach equipment, there are closets in each bedroom that are available to store things in. Gulf shores

Checked in, the bathroom had sand all in it, the bath tub was dirty and had used towels in the floor and dirty wash towels in the tub. Called the number listed and took over 16h to get new towels. Overall location was nice being right on the beach. But it’s also located directly next to the gym- so be prepared to be woken up by those that use the fitness center in the early morning.

We are sorry to hear that you were met with some housekeeping concerns upon arrival as this is certainly not in-line with our housekeeping standards at Beach Getaways. Our Property Care Team has been alerted of the overall cleanliness of the restrooms to make sure these issues are addressed and resolved. We apologize for the delay with the towels as our inspectors were handling some time sensitive jobs, although we did follow up to let you know they would be delivered the following morning instead. We are sorry to hear of the noise coming from the gym. This unit is right next door to the fitness center, although we have alerted our Quality Assurance team to see if we can do anything to help reduce this issue. Unit 175

This condo and property are very nice. Great beach access, felt totally safe walking to our cars at night. Had a security guard on duty at night which was a plus. We had no noise issues but we also brought our own fan. Only complaint we have it’s after the first night then bed is very uncomfortable. It could use a topper and the headboard secured. Overall this unit and property is perfect for a momcation or super small family. You don’t have much room to walk around in the bedroom.

It was nice but old . The shower was leaking and loose. The sink knobs where moving it was older look in the kitchen with the cabinets. You could tell it was just made to make it . Not professional done. The walls was not very thick because we could here noise all night.

Gulf Shores

The property is very well used and needs updates. The pictures made it look awesome but in reality the floor was coming up in the bathroom and hallway which was dangerous for bare feet. The rug in the living room was filthy and had a bad odor. The barstools at the counter are falling apart. There is no clothing storage in the bedroom. On a good note the gulf view and proximity to restaurants was nice.

No rest

I liked everything about this property, however my room was next to the exercise room. I was awoken every morning by the patrons who were working out. Obviously no insulation in the walls, I could hear every time theweights went up and back down making a loud noise in my room. I actually left the property a day early so that I could guarantee some rest… I would recommend this property as long as you don’t get the room next to the gym. I would also like to get some money back or a travel voucher for having to leave early. Vacation is rest and relaxation! Not able to get the rest part accomplished.

Next to gym 24/7 - read all comments.

We stayed 4 nights on 30-Aug and only had one night without weights banging in the 24/7 next door 'gym' preventing any rest. We couldn't believe how loud it was from 1:45am-3:30am the 2nd night followed by 5am-7am of the stepper machine banging the wall with every revolution the following morning. Luckily, the 3rd and 4th nights banging noises stopped ~11pm & 2am. In 30+ years of travel I have never complained in a survey following the trip but this was unreal. I guess letting the other building office where we got our parking pass know did nothing. I should have read all of the comments but sadly I didn't. I did contact Beach Getaways Vacation rentals by phone after they solicited our feedback. They offered us 10% off a future visit up to $100. lol - no thanks!

Getaway

Very nice and clean. For the type getaway we needed it was just right. Easy access to thr beach, restaurants, shopping...etc. we enjoyed our time and would definitely return.
