We arrived for a long weekend for a baseball tournament. Owner met us and was nice. We took about an hour to unload car and by that time I was coughing, my eyes were burning, and my throat was red. There were about 50 to 60 candles and room deodorizers throughout the house. We went to dinner and came back and gathered a lot of them up, put them on back porch and opened doors to house, to air it out, it did not help. I have asthma so we had to leave and get 2 hotel rooms for the weekend because our daughter was coming with her family the next day and our 11-year-old grandson has asthma too. My husband said it was better to get hotel rooms then ending up in ER with an asthma attack. We texted and sent emails to the owner and her daughter about a refund. The daughter's response was "rooms fresheners are commonly used in homes and hotels". So, no refund. We have stayed in many hotels and rental houses, and this has never happened. I do not recommend you stay at this house if you have asthma or any breathing problems. We were out the cost for this rental and also for hotel rooms. The house is 100 years old, not sure why so many candles, unless covering up some type of smell. On a side note, the master comforter was dirty. They do allow pets. NOTE: the owner and her family do live there. They leave during the times they rent the house out. Very disappointed
