The idea is cute but I feel like being sweet Escapes with a candy theme there should be more working candy machines instead of all just decor. The water said harmless but tasted like chlorine so should probably let people know to bring bottle water. Property was clean with lots of bedrooms. Overall a fun time had by all...

Like a theme park in a vacation house!

We were looking for a rental house “staycation” to take our nine year old son, where he could have the fun of a theme park. And it wasn’t easy to find. So I was so grateful that I found the Sweet Escape. It has so many amazing things: miniature golf, arcade games, video games, huge disco room, karaoke, virtual reality, small laser tag room, Theater, disc golf, pool with slide, volleyball, playground, human Candyland and of course all the really cool desert themed rooms. So we never ran out of things to do. And Andrew was very helpful and accommodating. There are two separate houses: the main house and the guest house. Both have kitchens (which is really helpful for a bigger group than we were). The property is huge too: I’m guessing 5 acres.

Enjoyed our stay

Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Sweet Escape. Plenty to do for all the family grown up and kids. The Pinball machine needs to be repaired with a few pieces having fallen loose under the glass which results in the ball getting stuck. Also, I had trouble finding a comfortable bed, but my back can be a bit picky. The managers of the property are very kind and attentive. They acted quickly to get anything fixed or addressed that came up. Definitely would recommend as a nice get away for a family or large group.

The Sweet Escape

Overall, we could not have asked for a greater spot to have a family vacation. The ice-cream shaped pool was definitely the crowning jewel and a place all of the family made the most memories. The one down spot we found was the sleeping arrangements. The homes are listed to sleep around 50 people if need be. We had 40, including three babies. We had to buy a pack-and-play and leave it there as there were only two furnished. Also, the main beds were comfortable but the roll-away beds and the couch pull out beds are in terrible condition...the springs missing or sticking out, the mattresses very uncomfortable. I would give this place a triple A rating if they only put a little more attention to all of the beds they advertise as in good condition. They were very easy to work with when a problem arose and tried to work it out quickly. One more bathroom in the main house for as many people as we had would have been perfect....all in all, we were very happy with our stay. The grandchildren loved it!

Cute, fun home for large groups

The communication and the response helpfulness and speediness were wonderful - couldn't ask for better. Property has all the things described. For us I would just say that the hardest thing to overcome was that the property didn't meet expectations (which may have been our fault) for the price. I was expecting a luxury property - like a nice hotel but with a cool, fun factor. We have a large family so we always stay at homes versus hotels often and have consistently good experiences. But this property - while lots of stuff to do was like staying at a standard hotel. Great for large groups - would be fun with 3-4 families. Would be nice if instead of fake stuff everywhere there was an option for real stuff - real pies, real candy, etc (maybe they did and I missed it). Would be nice if small things like shampoo/conditioner were like a nicer hotel. We struggled with things like various things not working (though the signs and instructions were wonderful), bugs in beds/rooms, bathing in sulfur water (was fixed on day 2 quickly after we told them), stickers in the yard, etc. Stuff is a little worn down - which makes sense given how often it's booked. So overall - if you have multiple families, little kids, just want a place to chill - I think it's great and can be economical spread across. If you want to take your family on a luxury retreat then not as much. It's not that I wouldn't book one of the homes again (in fact the kids have asked about booking one of the others) I would just have different expectations and a different plan and then all would match and be fine!

Five perfect days for a big family

We had our first and ever family reunion in Sweet Escape, and nobody wanted it to finish. We are 7 siblings from one side, and 3 from the other, each of us with kids from 6 months up to 21 year old no-so-much-kid, plus grandpa, we were 40+ And everybody was confortable there, every age group had things to do at any time of the day/night it's a guarantee 24x7 fun place for every single family.

Amazing! Best Vacation Yet!

I don't know where to begin! We walked in and were blown away. The pictures online don't do justice to the amazing detail and imagination put into this house! As I got the tour from Nicole, I could hear the kids running from room to room screaming "oh my God". We were a group of 13 kids, 10 y/o down to 2, and 11 adults. I don't know who had more fun.The big kids, aka adults, or the little ones. The place has everything. I have taken my family on cruises, Disney, Outer Banks etc. vacations and this place blew them away! We didn't have to leave the house for anything except groceries. The pool was perfect and the main meeting place for everyone every morning. The house has a beeping alarm anytime someone opens a door to the outside. This was great for the parents to be able to relax at dinner upstairs while the kids played in the arcade or movie theater. Also for piece of mind, the doors leading to the pool have a high lock so kids can't reach it. At night we would lock that and sleep easy. The BBQ is top notch and we used it a lot. The BBQ bar area and pool area is the perfect set up. You can cook, hang out and watch the kids from everywhere. The kitchen is stocked with all of the pots and pans type items you can imagine. We all had a blast doing the house scavenger hunt! Challenging but loads of fun. Everyone knows from pictures how beautiful the place is. But what makes any vacation great? Well rested parents! The beds were all very comfortable and we all raved about how well we were able to sleep! I have rented many multi family houses and were disappointed by the night sleep we got. Or should I say didn't get because the beds were uncomfortable. Not the case here at all. I am now looking into the karaoke system they had! It was awesome. None of us can sing a lick but we sang our hearts out with that system! The kids loved it! Singing and dancing under the lights! I can keep going on and on. I guess the best way to let anyone know how much fun we had is by our booking of the Great Escape Lakeside! We will be going there in 10 weeks! We can't get enough! Something tells me the Ever After Estate is in our future as well! One last thing because I need to mention it. Andrew and his crew were there for us every step of the way! More than accommodating! Thank you Andrew and Belinda for our best vacation yet!

Breath Taking!!!!

Upon arrival the entire group was spechlees and breathless. The pictures and the videos didn't do this location any justice. The Sweat Escape is AMAZING from the beginning to the end. There wasn't a dull moment in the this house, and no one slept a wink. Let me tell you don't waste your time going to the theme parks because you will be entertained at this beauty. Andrew G the owner is amazing and his staff members are very processional and attentive. My family has already booked his newest location The Great Escape Lakeside. So if your looking for a great time at an affordable cost with professional and courteous staff please contact Andrew. If you're the family planner like myself your family and friends will be glad you did. We are looking forward to seeing The Great Escape Lakeside. All I can say is WOWWWWWWWWWWWWW

We had a pretty large group. A group of 25 Adults and 12 Kids. I would never stay in a hotel again after being here for 3 nights with family. We literally only left the property to grocery shop. So much extra linen available blankets, towels, sheets, roll aways. One night we all just laid in the Disco room and slept there. Everywhere you go there is something that you can do. It's almost like Disney World you need a good week to enjoy it all. Ginger was our tour guide and she was beyond helpful. The receiver wasn't working in the theatre when we arrived but she made sure a new one was brought in right in time for the NBA GAME 4 FINAL. Andrew is extremely helpful and very prompt with his responses. The kids loved everything about it. It's very kid friendly, and the pool is kid friendly as well. Guys just book this home you will not have a worry in the world I promise you.

Great property for big groups!

We were also part of othe group of 12 adults and 16 kids. There was more than enough room for everyone, and the house was well-equipped with everything needed. Owner was attentive to all questions and concerns, and bent over backwards to make sure everything was as it should be. The house was full of entertainment--so much that we rarely left the property and never got bored. The kids were in heaven, the adults were equally happy, and all well. Some of our group didn't realize there was a main big house with 6 bedrooms, and the other 4 bedrooms were in the guest house down the driveway about 50 yards or so. That turned out to be great due to wanting a retreat from the noise of the big house and the arcade games, etc. Overall, it's hard to imagine having a much better experience with such a large group--it was ideal!

Sweet Escapes was a perfect place for our family reunion!

We had 12 adults and 16 kids, and there were so many beds we never even used. This place CAN really sleep up to 52 comfortably. I personally liked having a guest house separately from the main house, because I have young children and could put them to bed at the guest house and not have to worry about the night owls waking them up. (And we used WiFi video monitors to check on the kids while we went back to the main house.) The kids loved all of the activities, especially the free video games. The ball pit room and laser tag room were also big hits. The owner responded immediately to any questions or problems we had, and resolved any issues within the day. I would recommend this to property to any large group looking for a place to vacation.

AMAZING IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT

I don't believe I could write a review that does this property justice. First of all, Andrew and his staff are the kindest most professional people I have ever dealt with. Every need was taken care of and every question answered without making me feel like a burden. We had a group large group of about 40 for my son's 12th birthday. This place brought all the magic kids and adults alike need to make memories last a lifetime. No one complained. I plan all of our family trips and there is always at least one, but not this time. My two aunts signed on at the last minute and had to sleep in the lollipop room; even they said the beds were the most comfortable they'd ever felt. Andrew has a true knack for comfort. Every bed, sofa, and chair in the house felt great! We had so much fun that my family has decided we will NEVER do a hotel or resort again. We felt so at home that we have to come back. It's a must. I never imagined the house would look even better than the pictures, but it actually did. Andrew outdid himself with the Sweet Escape and my family is truly grateful that we had the opportunity to experience such a magnificent property.

best vacation home EVER

This home was by far the best experience my family and I ever had. Everything was perfect , the rooms , space , and pool. All my kids enjoyed it especially the adults. The rooms were breath taking! I didn't get a single complaint from my picky kids. I would most definitely recommend this house to any family who is looking for the time of their life. Great customer service, especially the owner. Absolutely the best place for a family group

We rented this place for my wife's 60th birthday (late December 2014) and it was one of the most amazing weekends of our lives. We wanted to celebrate this event in a very unique way and we were not disappointed. The reviews seemed almost too good to be true, yet they didn't come close to our incredible experience - or the fun had by the 36 people in our group. This place is simply AMAZING - and the owner is too! Before arrival, our 11-year-old granddaughter said, "What if this is all a joke & we only find a small house with a tiny pool and yard?" Upon arrival, she turned and said "It Is even better than the pictures!" The next day, her 8-year-old brother (been to Disney several times) told us "This is the best day of my life!" Prior to our visit, we exchanged many emails with the owner - Andrew. We always found him to be FUN, available (answering most emails within 10 minutes) and accommodating. We were welcomed at the house by Andrew's caretaker Felicia who gave us a complete tour of the property. Both she and Andrew said they were available any time of day or night - no question too small, stupid or unnecessary. We contacted them a few times during our stay and they responded immediately and were VERY helpful. This place is incredible. It held all 36 of us without us tripping over each other. The main house has an incredible kitchen, living room and dining room upstairs and a spacious common room (with disco, arcade) downstairs - 6 bedrooms in the main house and 4 in the guest house. There are also plenty very comfortable non-private sleeping spaces.The 2 houses are very close with a kitchen and plenty of bathrooms in each. It worked out perfectly for our group because several of us need to eat gluten-free and we made one kitchen a gluten-free zone. There is also a great outside cooking and eating area. The weather was so perfect we ate every dinner outside on the patio area. Our family (4 generations ages 2 through 86) is spread over 6 states and don't get the chance to get together as much as we'd like. We all attended 2 weddings earlier in the year, but stayed in separate rooms or hotels & we felt like we hadn't really had a chance to visit with everyone. Our experience at the Sweet Escape was very different. We'd walk from room to room, finding different groups talking or playing together - having the time of their lives enjoying each other's company. Andrew and his house helped make our dreams come true and we will be forever thankful.

The Best

We just came back from our four night stay at Sweet Escape with three generations in our family. Our seven grandkids said this was the best vacation we ever had, and we agree with them. Being all together under one roof instead of individual hotel rooms was loads of fun. My husband loved the pac man game...it was his favorite game in the 80's! We all did karaoke, from our three year old granddaughter to grandma and grandpa and everyone in between. Having the media room at our disposal was so cool. We found different family members there at different times of the day and night. Sweet Escape brought our family together and gave us so many sweet memories.

This place is absolutely amazing. While the pictures online are pretty good, there's much more to this magical estate. We had a group of 22 ages from 9 months to 68 years old. Everybody in our wide ranged group had an absolute blast. We even got the 68 year old to go down the water slide into the ice cream shaped pool. Very clean, well maintained, plenty of amenities. No one in our group left the property the entire weekend, and we didn't want to leave even when we had to. Highly recommend this place to anyone in any age group. We are already planning our next trip to go go back.

Carole Ann and I rented the "Sweet Escape" for 4 nights and it truly lived up to its name. The listing description was accurate in every aspect....the location was easy to find....the layout was exactly as we viewed it online...the amenities were first rate...the property was very clean inside and out...the owner provided great customer service... upon arrival we were greeted at the door by the tour guide who proceded to give a very thorough tour and answer all of our questions...she also gave us her cell number to use if we encountered any issues..... in our four day stay we we able to try most activities...games...etc.........the ice cream shaped pool during the day and the disco at night kept us content and busy...if you want a truly one of a kind experience we would recommend without reservation the "Sweet Escape" estate.....Carole Ann and Lou

Both kids and adults loved the house. the decoration is unbelievable, all the games are just too funny. You could stay for years in that house without been bored. I would recommand this house for any group/family who wants to have a lot of fun!

The perfect Escape

The Sweet Escape rental home is so much more than a place to stay. It not only is a spacious home with room for our huge family to stay but a total getaway! They have thought of it ALL when creating such a masterpiece! We all were completely blown away!! My kids and I didn't know where to start first! We were greeted by a friendly host upon arrival that gave us the "story" behind the sweet escape in a "story-book tale" fashion. From there, the excitement never quit. The boys loved the galaxy room! They enjoyed the laser tag and the spaceship beds! The girls loved the themed bathrooms and life-size candyland game. My husband and I enjoyed the Hershey room (Mostly for the AMAZING message chair!) Best of all, this home had something for everyone! The adults had a BBQ every night at the outside bar with huge stainless grill! We enjoyed watching the teens singing karaoke in the disco party area downstairs! This home had surprises around every corner, We loved the guest house! so clean and private! I was not only impressed by all the differently themed rooms, but mostly with how helpful the staff was and what the estate offered. Everything from a private chef to prepare dinner to access to in-home spa treatments. They have thought of it ALL! We cant wait to have our next family reunion here. Great for a romantic getaway, family vacation, or event.

Pool with spa heat is $95/day, and spa heat alone is $45/day if the pool is not being heated. Heat must be purchased for the duration of your stay and starts 24 hours before check-in to ensure the pool has time to warm up.
