Welcome to The Rising Sun in Surfside Beach, Texas! Featuring an open floor plan, tasteful nautical decor, and expansive deck with views of the Gulf. We’re located on a quiet dead end street. The beach is a 30 second walk away with direct access through a walkway.

We do provide your first gallon of water and some cold water bottles in the fridge for you but make sure to bring enough to drink and cook with as the city water is not consumable.

Bed linens and bath towels are provided. A modern kitchen, featuring quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and fully stocked with everything you need to make delicious meals to be enjoyed at the dining table for 8 along with seating for 3 at the island.

Our living room features a 75” smart TV with access with Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Prime Video, ESPN+ and other TV apps. UFC or Boxing events can be ordered, we just asked that you cover that cost.

DOG-FRIENDLY:

Up to 2 well-behaved dogs considered, subject to approval and a non-refundable pet fee ($100 for 1 dog, extra $50 for 2) per stay.

No dogs on furniture please. We ask that dogs not be left home alone unless crated/kenneled. No cats allowed.

EASY CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT:

It's easy to stay with us and secure too! Access the home electronically at 4pm on the date of your arrival with your unique lock code that we specifically give only to you via text and email. Your code is live from 4pm on your arrival date until 11am on the date of your departure.

AREA:

No touristy chain restaurants, shops or hotels. Just chillin' beach bar and grills, food (and beverage) trucks (like Surfin Rita Daiquiris To-Go), burger joints (like Pier 30 and Beachfront Deck Bar & Grill) and tasty fresh seafood options (like Seahorse Bar & Grill and Red Snapper) line the water. Surfside is your simple relaxing sandy beach, water sporting, surfing, fishing and crabbing vacation destination.

Surfside Beach is located around an 1 hr drive to Houston on Texas Highway 288 depending on traffic. For out-of-town visitors, Houston Hobby Airport is within easy driving distance offering many carriers making air travel reasonable and convenient Just rent a car and enjoy the drive down!

Great vacation trip

We decided to do a last minute weekend trip before school started back. We enjoyed the house. It has a great layout for families. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. The location to the beach was great as well with the walkover nearby. Highly recommend!

The Best Girl's Trip Beach House

This is the second time a group of 6 girlfriends and I have rented this house and we absolutely love it. It's within walking distance to the beach and the house has the best covered porch that's perfect for watching the ocean. Our favorite indoor feature is the huge couch. The host Cynthia is super responsive and accommodating. We will definitely book this house again for our annual girl's trip weekend!

Great Getaway

Nice spot about a minute walk to the beach. The dune crossover is for that row (8 or 9 houses) so not a lot of traffic, just your neighbors who were pretty much non existant during our stay. Off season. Cynthia is great host, fast communication, and easy to work with. Rising Sun is equipped with everything you might need. Kitchen is fully equipped and then some. The primary bed was solid and very comfortable. Just the two of us and our pup but plenty of space for a larger family. Good wifi and internet so we coud do a little work if needed. Huge TV in a pretty large living area for movie night. Great outside seating area with a view of the water. Houses directly in front but a great view off the back deck just to the right side with no houses at all. Basically feels like beach front! Nice spot, great host, great views and accommodations. You will enjoy it!

Wonderful Beach House

A really great beach house, 2nd row, but with first row views. Comfortable furniture and beds. Kitchen very well stocked with newer pots and pans and beach safe dishes if you want to take it outside. Very good and easy interaction with property manager. Would definitely stay here again!

Great beach house!

The beach house was exactly what we had hoped for. A brief 1min walk to the beach and it was clean and inviting. The water pressure was great and the AC was on point. We had a great time and the area was quiet.

Great Place in Surfside

This is one of our favorite places to stay in Surfside. You are steps from the beach and an easy one mile stroll from two beachfront restaurants. The house itself is well stocked, spacious, and has a fantastic covered patio with beach views. We highly recommend this house for your next stay!

Thanksgiving Away

This was a great house for the family on Thanksgiving. We stayed for a week and loved the view, sound of the waves, and time down on the beach. We were pleasantly surprised with the kitchen and how great it was communicating with the property owner. Definately worth a stay!

Great Experience

Wonderful stay, and beach house was beautiful! Decorated so cute, and it had everything we needed or wanted, including many extras such as water, pack n play , and plenty of beach toys for the kids. So happy that beach umbrella and chairs were included! Good communication with Hostess Cynthia!

Comfortable, Close to Beach

Easy and comfortable home, close to beach. A little trouble initially getting into the home on day 1 - issues with electronic door code, changed to a physical key, with lack of communication, but felt like was something that was known - alternate method of entry already planned and ready to go. Pet friendly location, but beach location (not necessarily the owner's issue) sees LOTS of traffic -- even early which tends to limit access previously used to in former trips.

Great Beach Getaway Spot

Very clean and updated property that exceeded our expectations. Pet-friendly was a major plus. Access to the beach was a very easy and simple 90-second walk. The TV was equipped with plenty of streaming access to make our evening movie nights enjoyable. This is a great spot and will try to stay here again!

Great Property! Home is kept really well. Not front row but just as good! Very short walk by one home and you are there! Beach view from every angle of the deck. BBQ Grill is nice and big to grill on. Home is very cute!!! We enjoyed our stay and will try and stay here again.

Since I was a little girl, my parents would always bring us to Surfside Beach on the weekends. My dad is and has always been an avid fisherman. I'm was so happy to finally be able to have the opportunity to purchase a home in Surfside of my own and now be able to enjoy the beach with my family.
