Quaint Beach Shack completely renovated that sleeps Max 4. One bedroom with King Size bed with Sealy Memory Mattress- large closet and dresser for plenty of storage. Queen size pull out sofa with upgraded memory mattress for additional guests. Brand new kitchen with granite countertops-microwave-full size stove and refrigerator. Smart TV with internet/WIFI- two blocks from beach access! A block from Stump Pass State Park where you have access to the Bay and Gulf Coast for kayaking or paddle boarding. Local restaurants, shops and convenience stores are biking/walking distance from your Oasis! You will not be disappointed with your Gulf Coast Oasis!

Perfect Getaway

Spring break

Lovely, clean place to stay! The unit was completely redone recently. Kayaks were great to use on Lemon Bay. Beach 2 block walk away but Unit comes with beach cart, beach chairs & umbrella. Quiet neighborhood. Great kitchen and even a grill in the backyard. Check in was super easy and the 2 owners were quick to respond to my questions. Would stay here again

Highly Recommend / Amazing location

Highly Recommend. Amazing location, only 2 minute walk from the beach. Heather and Rod were great hosts, we had 2 small issues that they sorted out within under 30 minutes of asking. We made good use of the kayaks and bikes, bbq, and sun room. We saw dolphins both in the ocean and in-land water.

Rest and Relaxation

Hospitality was wonderful and made the stay for me. The extra snacks, drinks, shampoo, laundry detergent and extras was so nice. Honestly, made my trip. So nice getting there and seeing a cold beer in the fridge. I am a Registered Nurse, so this trip was much needed. Super clean, walking distance to restaurants. Beach was wonderful, we found lots of sharks teeth.

Spring break at Turtle Cay

Our family had a great time at the Beach Shack. It’s a safe area, and we enjoyed being able to walk to the beach and local bars and restaurants. There is shopping nearby too. The kitchen is fully stocked and we used the gas grill twice. Rod and Heather were amazing hosts. They promptly answered all of our questions and even brought over some fans and a cooler and beach bag for us to use. We were welcomed with a large basket of snacks and beer, wine, and water in the fridge too! Thx for an amazing stay on Manasota Key!!

CLEAN, LOTS OF AMENITIES- kayaks, paddleboards, bikes, laundry - great location and hosts!!

This property couldn't be made better, it was FANTASTIC! Our hosts went out of their way to make sure we had everything available to us....even a care package with coffee, snacks, wine, etc., as we arrived Christmas morning. The house is located in a great spot, less than 2 blocks from the beach and a quick half mile walk to Stump Pass State Park, which has a hiking trail then leads to the beach. Great shell and shark tooth hunting, and we kayaked with a dolphin on the canal/bay side! Restaurants, bars, live music, and the bridge are an easy bike ride just down the road. When you look at all the amenities that this place provides, you are saving a lot on rentals. Definitely a place we'd like to visit again!

Winter getaway.

Heather and Rod were great host! Everything in the description of the property was 100% accurate. Clean, cute and comfortable! It’s a short walk to the beach. Beautiful sunsets and a friendly neighborhood. Oh yes Heather even dropped off warm brownies one afternoon. What more could you ask for?!

Wonderful stay at Turtle Cay Beach Shack!!

Heather and Rod's Beach Shack was perfect for my brother and I visiting our mother in Englewood. It had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves and even have our mom visit for dinner. Heather and Rod are super hosts and wonderful people! I feel I have new friends in Englewood and will definitely be back to the Beach Shack. Thanks you two!!

Confortable, cozy and modern

The host was very easy to communicate with and did all in power to ensure a great experience. We appreciated and used the kayaks and bikes which were a great bonus for our stay. The property was very clean and prety, and we felt like home. I would definetely book this property again in the future.

Perfect vacation

We loved our stay here. We enjoyed paddle boarding in the ocean, riding the bikes, and the overall feel of the beach shack. We would recommend it to anyone! It was such a fun and affordable stay!

Do worries stay!

The place was perfect...every amenity was there plus a gracious bottle of wine, sodas and snacks. The kicker was the outdoor shower ( hot and cold water) to me that made the vacation. The unit is new and updated including central A/C.The beach is just a block away. Property has beach access but you must park yourself “at waters edge” and not any closer to the homes on beach property. Waters edge means your chair as close to the water as possible. Beach owners are there and watching...

Beautiful and Perfect

Heather was amazing to work with and the place was absolutely perfect. Short walk to the beach and Stump Pass. We rode the bikes and enjoyed every minute we could. Loved it!

Pandemic pleaser

Perfect get away during Covid. Quiet street, (until sidewalk construction began) walking distance to beach & local restaurants with live music (mostly Covid compliant). All the amenities included to enjoy beach & bay adventures.

Rod and I are northern transplants from Ohio and Pennsylvania (respectively) that moved to Florida back in 1990. We have been married for going on 25 years and have two wonderful sons- Conor and Quinn who have kept us busy for the majority of these years with school activities, Club soccer and Boy Scouts. As we move into the empty nest stage of our lives in a few years we are working on our "Nest". We look forward to sharing this "Nest" with you as well.

Spending time with friends on Manasota Key led us to fall in love with the island. The quaint community of visitors gives you a sense of belonging. When you drive over the small draw bridge that takes you on to the island your eyes sneak a peak to the water to see if the dolphins are in view - you can't help but let out a breath of calmness as you have entered your relaxing destination. Many travelers come from the North during the winter months to beat the cold weather and stay for months on end- year after year. Others that live in Florida or the warmer areas come to get away from our everyday life even if just a short drive. While at the Beach Shack you will feel at home whether it is for a weekend -a week - or a month. The warm "Good Mornings" from those on the beach looking for Shark's Teeth (which are abundant if you look) or those you pass while walking/biking just makes you feel like you have found your Home Away from Home. The Beach Shack of Manasota Key will become a favorite and repeat destination for you- Promise!!
