📍 Heads up on the area: The Brooks House sits in a fast-changing neighborhood near downtown. A few homes directly across the street are vacant and boarded up, so the street can look a little rough from the outside. We’ve never had a reported safety issue at this home, but we want you to know before booking so there are no surprises. If you’d prefer a more established or walkable residential street, just message us and we’ll gladly suggest another Hallson home.

The Neighborhood:

The Brooks House is in an up-and-coming neighborhood close to Marathon Music Works, North Gulch, City View, and the Nashville Farmers’ Market. It’s about as close as you can get to downtown without staying in a hotel.



Like many areas near downtown Nashville, this neighborhood is in transition, with new construction alongside older properties. There are several vacant, boarded-up homes directly across the street, so the outside can look a little rough at first glance. We’ve never had any reported issues at this home, and guests regularly tell us how convenient the location is for getting around the city.



There are numerous restaurants and bars within a mile of the house. Some of our favorites include Geist (great for brunch), Mother’s Ruin (cocktail bar), and Monell’s (Southern food and a Nashville staple).
