KING size bed in master!
Located minutes from downtown Greenville, the Swamp Rabbit Trail, Furman University, and Travelers Rest, this beautifully furnished & fully renovated, 2BR/2BA home will make your stay in the upstate of SC truly special.

A little bit of background...Cottage Haven is a result of a family dream...as we traveled, we were often frustrated and always thought of things we would do to make a space better for visitors. So when the opportunity arose for us to purchase and renovate this cute little house, we jumped in all the way. One of our sons does remodeling, one installed hardwood floors, our daughter is an Interior Designer, and I (Chris) have a local cleaning service- after a year and a half, we were ready for our first guests.
Now our goal is to make every guest feel like they're the first to stay. When we say "fully stocked", we mean that we provide little things to make your time with us more comfortable, we pay close attention to detail, and we strive to keep all things in 'like new' condition.
*An additional note:
Some guests have mentioned that the neighborhood is a bit “run down”. It is definitely a lower middle class area, but many of the neighbors have been in residence for decades (including those on either side of CH- in fact, Ms Margaret has lived in the same house next door since the 1960’s!) ) and they do upkeep their yards and homes and look out for one another. We have come to know several of the neighbors and have always felt safe, even late at night. While some homes a block or two away are not as well kept, there are also a few new homes being built (Greenville is growing rapidly). Additionally, there is a street lamp on the edge of our property so it well-lit at night.
So please come and enjoy your morning coffee on the spacious covered deck off the kitchen overlooking the large, fenced-in back yard. Or relax with friends & family around the fire pit or under the ambient lighting that surrounds the deck roof.
In consideration for all of our guests, the home is a non-smoking space and pet-free.

I think this is the most well stocked VRBO I have ever been too. The little snacks and waters are usually typical but all of the extras with the coffee bar, Kleenex, shampoo and noise machines for the bedrooms were amazing and thoughtful. The place was so cute and comfortable for a family trip. We had family stop by for a few hours as well and there was great kitchen space and outdoor space to hang out and catch up. Wonderful place to stay!!

If I could give this house 15 stars, I would. Chris is so great at communication. The house literally has EVERYTHING you need. This is my first time feeling like I was totally comfortable with everything. Proximity to Furman and other places was great. The house felt clean and well thought out. I waa beyond pleased. Would 100% stay again!!

Close to downtown

Great location to get to downtown Greenville. This was the most well stocked VRBO we’ve stayed at. Communication with the owner was quick and easy. Would recommend this as a place to stay!!

Really a perfect place. Conveniently located, very clean, very well appointes. Host were very communicative. Not a single thing was missed - down to hairspray and mousse! We’ll be booking again while our daughtee is at Furman University.

Girls weekend

My girlfriends and I stayed here for a girls weekend away. We are in the 55 age group and have stayed in multiple VRBO homes over the years, but this one is special. Our hosts have honestly thought of EVERYTHING!. The home was spotless. Comfortably furnished. We slept like babies and had anything we might need at our finger tips. And let me say for clarity. This is not leftovers from previous guests, I am talking thoughtfully chosen necessities you would have in your own home, new and carefully organized, ready if you need it. We were all so impressed. We will definitely book again when we return to Greenville!thought of EVERYTHING!

Best appointed with extra touches

This cottage is adorable inside! The host has made it special with much consideration. Snacks, coffee, creamers, hygiene products, firewood - they thought of everything! The neighborhood gave me pause when I first arrived but I felt safe and fine once I settled in. The barking dog next door was annoying until she got used to me there. I would stay here again for the coziness!

We absolutely loved our staycation here. Incredible attention to detail and comfort. For example the kitchen wasn't only stocked it was organized and plus multiple outlets. Had everything we needed and more. The host definitely made our stay feel like a home away from home.

Absolutely perfect!

The house was perfect for our family of 3, visiting extended family over the Christmas holiday this year.The place was clean, had fantastic furniture and decor, and the kitchen had everything I could want.I've seen some comments about the neighborhood, and want to say that at no time did we feel unsafe or uneasy. The neighborhood was great, and we had no concerns. It might not be the most affluent area, but it was certainly safe and I had no concerns letting our 7yo play in the back yard alone.I hope this rental is available for our next trip to visit family in Greenville, all other rentals will pale in comparison to this one!

Cottage cozy

The property was super cute with more supplies provided than any other place we have stayed. We brought a lot of our own stuff but didn't even have to unpack a lot of it. Neat clean and well decorated. Chris and Thomas were friendly and helpful and the WiFi problem we had was handled to our satisfaction. The only pause we had is that the area was not what we were use to but was fine.

A Wonderful Place

Immaculate - above and beyond clean. Thoughtful - The hosts have gone out of their way to ensure you have more than enough for a lovely stay. After a nine hour drive, arriving here was nicer than arriving home. The home was spotless with snacks on the counter and cool drinks in the fridge. It's as if they knew we would have a travel weary 7 year old and were ready for us. There are other small touches throughout that made you feel like you were staying with someone who cared. When we arrived at our next stop, we sorely missed this place and wanted to return. It was such a blessing to stay here.

Absolutely loved it!

My husband and I stayed here at the Cottage Haven and our first impression was.. "Wow, such a cute cottage!" It felt very homey, cozy and inviting. The cottage was very clean, we loved the furniture and the way every room was decorated. I especially loved the smelling scent in the guest bathroom, I didn't catch a name on the bottle but I'll always remember that smell and should I ever run into again, I'll remember this cozy cottage! You can tell that Chris and Tom thought of everything for their guests and it really showed. We felt like we were staying with family. We also really liked that it was within 5 minutes of downtown GV which made for an easy travel to and from the cottage. Communicating with Chris and Tom was delightful, they made sure we got in okay and that all was good. I'd absolutely recommend this sweet cottage to anyone visiting Greenville!

Perfect!

House was perfect for us. Super clean and comfortable. Only a few minutes drive to downtown. The owners thought of everything, and the furnishings were all upscale. The attention to detail for the comfort of guests was awesome! Highly recommend!

Lovely stay!

We really enjoyed staying here! Great for a family, roomy, homey, quick communication with the host. It was so well stocked for every need, especially the kitchen - seriously, three types of coffee makers for however you make it (btw check out Due South nearby!) A very quiet neighborhood and less than 10 minutes to downtown. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

this little house was so perfect for our visit! every drawer was organized, very clean, and there were things in every drawer to accommodate anything you may have forgotten while packing. great hosts! highy recommend to anyone visiting the greenville area!
