As a professional event planner, my job is to ask the tough questions so that my guests’ experience matches my pursuit for perfection. Now that my wife and I were planning to host a couples getaway, I needed to ask some tough questions as we couldn’t let our friends down. After each call and email to Richard, I would receive the same message “You need not worry about a thing". While I had read the great reviews, I was a bit suspicious but at some point, I had to submit and hope for the best. My trepidation disappeared immediately upon arriving at Villa Francisco and being greeted by his concierge, Toni. Prior to our arrival, Toni had graciously and efficiently assisted us with our arrival transfers, restaurant recommendations, transportation to our golf outings and stocking the Villa with all our requested favorite foods and beverages. After meeting Toni and taking a quick look inside, we realized it looked every bit as good as the photos. It was immaculate with beautiful furnishings and was exactly as we had hoped as we toured the bedrooms, kitchen, living room and pool area. At that point, we were greeted by Chef Tina, the head chef who chatted with us about our meal selections for the week. We gave her some ideas and she offered up some house specialties and we decided on a plan for the week. After our guests all arrived, we settled into the pool and outdoor cabana for margaritas and appetizers, hosted by Richard. You could tell how proud he was of his Villa and it was a great way for him to meet all our guests before he disappeared for the week so we could be on our own. Dinner that night put all our culinary worries to rest. Chef Tina and her team put together an absolutely amazing meal and little did we know that each and every meal they prepared would be better than the last, all featuring fresh local ingredients artfully prepared to match the finest big city restaurant. Whether it was their handmade ravioli, pre-golf breakfast burritos, surf and turf or our Mexican fiesta, it was just perfect. However, it is worth noting that the highlight of our dining experience was the presentation of a whole 11-pound red snapper cooked to perfection. During our stay, all of our needs were happily accommodated. From runs to the store to washing our laundry, every detail was covered. So, while I will continue to ask all the hard questions, I have already booked a return engagement and Richard can rest easy knowing I won't ask any more questions!
