Relax and unwind at one of Mermaid Cottage's favorite spots - Anchor House . This 2 Bedroom, 1 Bath Cottage sleeps 4. Rental includes amenities such as Bicycles (2) and use of Hunting Island State Park & Beach Pass. Located minutes away from the Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island and Historic Downtown Beaufort. Be sure to take a Carriage Ride through our History, Dine at our AMAZING Restaurants, Bike Ride, Kayak our Seaside Village and don't forget a Movie Tour while you're here. Beaufort SC has been home to many blockbuster movie sets such as "Forest Gump", "The Great Santini", "The Prince of Tides" and many more. Ask about Concierge and Special Occasion Packages.

Clean, comfortable home with private yard in a quiet area close to everything. Stayed a couple of nights while in town for a golf tournament. It was ideal for the purpose. Would stay again.

The Anchor House was just perfect! It was a short stay for my mom and brother but, the cottage was clean and just lovely! Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to a future stay!

Comfy beds great location

Easy Check in, comfy beds, and hot showers! We live locally and had family come in for the weekend. Great location for us, and super cute and comfy. Definitely recommend for anyone coming in from out of town. And will use again!

Cute home, excellent location

The house is in an excellent location to downtown Beaufort. Also, the house was well stocked with all the necessary items for items used daily. Front entrance could be cleaned up for a more welcoming entrance.

Great Location

We didn't spend too much time in the home as we were out home shopping the entire time. Great location and neighborhood. We had a nice walk around the neighborhood. Was just a couple of minutes to the historic district. Could get anywhere needed within minutes. There was big owl in the oak tree who would hoot at us when we came back in the evening. Highly recommend this location.

Anchor House

Great place to use as home base to travel to Savannah the surrounding areas. Place is super clean spacious for 2 people. Love the yard. I like the closeness of the downtown Beaufort the ease of traveling to other towns.

A lovely place to stay

The Anchor House is in a neighborhood that is a mile from town. It is easy to walk there or drive half way so you don’t need to pay for parking. It has a large fenced in backyard and a table and chairs to enjoy being outside. The house is very clean. It does need new mattresses and I conveyed this to the property manager It comes with 2 bikes and we rode the Spanish Moss bike trail which is about 1/4 mile away. It also came with a pass to the Hunting Island State beach. This is our second time staying at the house and we plan to book it again for next year.

Chalk It Up Festival Weekend

My friend and I had a great time staying at this home when we went to Beaufort for the Chalk It Up festival. It had everything we needed. My bed was so comfortable. I loved the experience at this home.

Anchor House is clean, cozy and comfortable

The cottage is in the perfect location to enjoy everything that Beaufort, Lady’s Island and Port Royal have to order.We love that the area is great for lovers of history, wildlife, scenery and sunsets. It was nice to come back to Anchor House at day’s end!

Fantastic experience!!

Wow this place was amazing! GREAT location, one mile from the waterfront and historic downtown, walkable neighborhood, clean and tastefully decorated, with all necessary conveniences. Back yard was bigger than we expected, with a table and chairs for morning coffee. Access was super easy via electronic front door lock. 10/10 would recommend to anyone wanting to visit historic Beaufort, SC!

Down south

Very comfortable and quiet neighborhood.Good beds, location, kitchen amenities.We stayed for five nights using this home as our “anchor” while exploring low country.
