The chalet has a big social area with a pool and a bbq spot. You will find a wide open backyard and a beautiful creek at the end of the property.

What a great home away from home! Had everything we needed and was away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area yet close enough for a quick drive. Within walking distance to a couple great restaurants. Host was very responsive with any issue we had. Loved sitting outside on the covered area whenever we could. Lots of birds to see and iguanas to watch. We even saw a couple howler monkeys close by a couple times.

Fun location with lots of animals on the property. Just outside La Fortuna so it is quiet but short drive to the town.

Relaxing pool after a day of adventure!

This was the perfect location for our adventures in La Fortuna. We especially enjoyed the pool after a long day of white water rafting and canyoneering. The AC units in the bedrooms were freezing cold which kept us comfortable at night. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Enjoyed La JeyDa!

The house was very nice and met our needs. AC in the bedrooms cooled off the rooms quickly. We adjusted the temperatures upwards after the first night.Very natural La Fortuna "vibe". Secluded but yet close to the city and attractions. Everything was easy and as advertised. Thank you!Highly recommended!!

Quiet home close to activities

Enjoyed stay here! Very quiet area with a few restaurants nearby. Close to activities for adventure. Plenty of very hot water and in-room conditioners kept things comfortable.

Great location

This rental has everything you need, but don’t expect fancy. I found everything to be clean, organized and available. I absolutely loved the location and the property. This place works best if you have a car rented. We explored the yard at night and found 3 species of frogs, one being the poisonous dart frog (in the bushes) lots of birds, advacado tree, lime tree, orchids everywhere. Mary’s BBQ is down the road and a MUST. Baldi Hot Springs also a must, just a few minute drive. The pool is small but works great for kids. Overall we loved the place. Great view of volcano. Felt very safe at the property.

The property description is accurate. The river running behind the property and the yard are wonderful. Lots of birds and howler monkeys. Easy access to area activities. The property is not fancy but served our needs well. We enjoyed the outdoor spaces.

Perfect for us

Party of 6 including 2 couples and 2 teens so this was a perfect set up. Had all the basics. A/C worked well.Great communication from property manager.

Great back yard

House is lovely and simple, with great back sitting area and good splash pool. The best part is the massive yard. We spent hours sitting and watching the song birds, toucans, humming birds, iguanas and monkeys. Not far from La Fortuna at all. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing place

We enjoyed this beautiful house so much House was spotless. Master bedroom was big with comfortable king bed , nice size shower with hot water. We cooked couple times and the kitchen has everything you need Location was excellent, secluded but close to everything, nice small pool and big social area Washer was a plus Definitely we will come back

Peaceful Hideaway

La JeyDa Chalet was a great base for our stay in La Fortuna. The house was clean and the bedrooms were comfortable and had air conditioning. The yard is lovely but we did not have as much of a chance to use the pool or BBQ area as it rained for most of our stay. We did use the pool one evening and it was nice. The rocking chairs on the covered patio are nice as well. Overall the house was a great value and a convenient base for activities in La Fortuna.

Charming Place Just Outside of La Fortuna

We found everything that we needed on the lower level of the house (for only two of us, we did not need the upstairs). The king-size bed was comfortable. The air conditioning was fine when we needed it.

Lovely home and great location

We spent three nights and had a great time. The house is just as described in the listing. The host was very responsive. The location is right on the road into La Fortuna so everything was very convenient. There is a lovely creek just beyond the back yard providing the chance of spotting birds or even monkeys. Mary's Place is less than a half-kilometer up the road and a great place for happy hour and/or a meal. For fun while you're in the area, we highly recommend a whitewater rafting trip with Arenal Rafting - one of the highlights of our trip!

Wonderful backyard!

So many birds and animals to watch in the backyard and across the fence in the wooded area. Saw a wide variety of toucans and other birds, poisonous dart frogs, and iguanas. Wonderful for bird watchers!House was doable for six but a little tight, and we were charged extra for having more than four people. There is no clothes dryer and the small pool has jets but is not heated. But all in all, a delightful stay.

Slothing around

We had an amazing time at La JayDa for the second part of our Costa Rican experience. This house and grounds are beautiful and enchanting. So much so that is was hard to leave for our excursions!! Enjoy the pool and the beauty of the grounds and the comfort of the bedrooms and well equipped kitchen. We took all of our meals outside with many wildlife visitors including monkies, a sloth and wonderful birds. I can not recommend coming to Costa Rica more and when you do definetly stay at La JayDa!!

Private house a few minutes drive from downtown. Great master bedroom on ground floor. Beautiful property and backyard. If you had provided us with some little extras like facecloths. Stable toilet seat. Laundry detergent our stay would have been a five star

Amazing nature experience!

Amazing privacy. Loved being part of nature and the calm from La Fortuna. Taxis were easy to get from town. $5. Saw iguanas, Birds, river, hummingbirds and geckos. We loved being part of this experience. It is a bit far and dark to walk to town but both tour groups found us easily for pick up.

Perfect Spot to Stay in La Fortuna

We love this house and location - it’s about an eight minute drive to get to downtown, which is close enough when you need some morning coffee, but far enough to be away from the fray of everything. The cottage was simple, but absolutely perfect for our needs. Three bedrooms with their own AC made for very comfortable evenings. The main area but no AC and did get warm, but spent very little time there. Anyway, time at the house we spent outside in the hammocks, pool, or rocking chairs, enjoying the amazing backyard. We had no problem with the water or ice from the dispenser in the refrigerator. Plenty of hot water in the showers. The washing machine was very helpful - I brought some detergent with us so unsure if it was provided. We loved La Fortuna and loved our stay at La JeyDa.

Amazing Backyard, didn’t want to leave

The outdoor area/ backyard on this property was amazing. We spent all of our free time after going on tours just relaxing in the hammocks, sitting in the rocking chairs, kids in the pool. So many animals- there were 2 iguanas on the driveway to greet us, spider monkeys and then howler monkeys in the trees at the back of the property, geckos, etc. The outdoor area is the best part of this property. The inside is very clean, basic and simple, as it’s pictured. Plenty of utensils/ cookware in the kitchen to make meals. Only thing we were missing was a toaster, but that didn’t bother us. It was very handy to have access to a washing machine and hung everything to dry outside. We had a car and the drive into town was short. Lots of shopping, grocery, fruit markets, restaurants. There was an air conditioner unit in each of the bedrooms and fans in the main areas to keep air moving. Our host was very responsive and helpful! We would definitely stay here again.

Tres beau séjour dans une propriété

La maison était exactement telle que décrite et très propre. Les communications avec le propriétaire étaient faciles. Très bon rapport qualité/prix. L’attrait principal de la propriété était certainement l’immense jardin et la terrasse où il était agréable de manger et profiter des hamacs. Nous avons eu la chance de voir des colibris et même des singes dans les arbres de l’autre côté de la rivière.
