The view, the porches, and Johnnour host was most helpful!We do recommend another chair in the living room, maybe even replacing the giant ottomanAlso, there was a bit of a foul loader coming from the sink in the bathroom of the bedroom at the far south end of the houseThis being said we will definitely rent this place again and recommend it to anyone.

We enjoyed our stay here. The two decks with multiple seating options are great. We love the location and that the house is on the beach. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to stay in Galveston.

Beautiful home! We loved our stay (minus the one unpleasant direct neighbor who had fishing poles lined up down the beach the whole week sun up to sun down, but that was just bad luck not the property’s fault). The home had everything we needed

4th year staying at this wonderful beach house. The house has everything we needed and is always clean and comfortable. It's nice to wake up early and sit on the deck and watch/listen to the ocean.

3rd stay at this beachfront gem

We love relaxing on the covered decks and porches so close to the water. The location is great for the children walking back and forth to the beach. We have enjoyed 7 gorgeous evenings while staying here.

Family vacation

We truly enjoyed our stay. Check in was easy. The house was very nice, extremely well stocked, and an amazing location. We will be staying here again next summer. Highly recommend.

Fabulous house

We loved this house. The location and views are spectacular. It was a great house for our family. We like to spend a lot of time on the beach. It was better supplied than anywhere we have stayed. Thanks for sharing your house with us. We hope we can return!

The downstairs patio is completely covered by the house above...and ALWAYS has plenty of wind. And, the house AC works PERFECTLY! We always had problems in Surfside with ACs that didn't always do their job. This is now our go-to house during the summer. No need to look elsewhere. And you are 10 minutes from Randalls on 61st Street.

Beautiful beach house!

We loved everything about this house! It was so nice to be right on the beach especially with having our children who loved playing in the water and sand the entire stay. The house is fully stocked with appliances and dishes. We hope to be back soon!

Perfect location for relaxation!

This property was perfect for our two families to enjoy a relaxing spring break! The house is right on the beach making it easy for going back for lunch or restroom breaks. Everything was clean, there were tons of bath towels (bring your own beach towels) and we even got lucky with a couple of boogie boards! Just a short drive into Galveston for dinners. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I bought the house in 2008, and 2 months later, Hurricane Ike destroyed the foundation and broke our hearts. I spent the next year working on the house. It had to be lifted up and set on the beach. Once a new foundation was built, the house was placed on top and then much of the house had to be rebuilt. Once the house was finished, I spent the next couple of years working for a house moving company doing similar work another storm damaged houses along the gulf coast. In 2011 I moved to the east coast where I now work as a high school physics teacher and an on-call firefighter. The house is a source of pride for me and I try to always keep it as a welcoming second home for my guests. My wife and 2 girls enjoy coming back to Galveston to visit the house and a few old friends as often as we can.
