A comfortable two-bedroom condo in the Carnelian Woods community — walking distance to Lake Tahoe and an easy drive to both Palisades Tahoe and Northstar. Great setup for families or a small group.

Rollaway bed available (stored in the upstairs bedroom closet — rolls right out into the main loft area, which makes a great little sleep nook or hangout space for kids)
Pack 'n Play for little ones

Full kitchen stocked for real cooking — not just the basics. In-unit washer and dryer, beach towels, multiple Smart TVs, and fast WiFi throughout. The complex is quiet and family-friendly, with the pool, hot tub, sauna, tennis courts, and arcade lodge all steps away.

About the loft: The main loft is a great hangout space and works perfectly as a sleeping area with the rollaway. The upstairs bedroom has a second loft space — the ladder has been removed and we ask that guests not attempt to access it. We really mean this one. It's not safe without the ladder and any wall damage will be charged to the booking.

A few things to know: Small water heater — if you're a group, space out your showers. No AC (Tahoe summers rarely need it). The closest beach to Carnelian Woods is a pebble beach — not sandy, but genuinely lovely. BYO rackets for the tennis courts.
Winter heads up: Tahoe weather moves fast — 4WD/AWD or chains are often required during storms. Please plan accordingly.

All times reflect good weather and no traffic — allow extra on powder days.
Access: Full access to the condo, ski storage, open parking (guest tags provided), and all community amenities — pool (seasonal), hot tub, sauna, tennis courts, and the arcade lodge. ID verification and damage waiver required through Truvi prior to arrival.

Lovely townhome in quiet neighborhood

Very comfortable and clean home with a nice kitchen and serene back deck overlooking a lovely wooded area. Close to a swimming/kayaking beach as well as an excellent breakfast location.

Loved that there was a trail behind the condominium! Also, love that it was conveniently located to stores and restaurants. We didn’t have to bring our pack n play or dinnerware for our toddler since the place already had those things!

Comfortable and great location in Carnelian Bay

Friends from France visited and we enjoyed the stunning views from this area of the lake. This condo is conveniently located near to views and easy access to shops and restaurants by car. The condo is cozy, clean and comfortably can sleep 6.

Great quiet place

The location and complex were perfect for our family with teens. The pool, hot tub, and proximity to the lake and activities made for a great vacation. We enjoyed walking to the lakeside cafe for coffee each morning and hiking along the adjacent trails. The condo was clean and large enough for our family of five. The owner was responsive, and the check-in and check-out processes were easy. The only feedback we'd give was around the comfort of the condo. The beds were pretty uncomfortable. I think upgrading those would improve the experience.

Winter get away for xmas

Property is nice, location wonderful, very well equipped. When we received the confirmation from VRBO we had an address but no unit number. Thk heavens we got there before 8:30 pm otherwise we may not have found the unit. The lodge were very helpful and kind and got us to r unit. We would stay there again.

Carnelian Bay is the north shore at its best — quieter than Tahoe City, less crowded than Kings Beach, but close to everything. The Carnelian Woods community sits right at the edge of the lake, which means guests can walk to the water without getting in a car. In summer it's the kind of neighborhood where people bike to dinner and watch the sunset from the shore. In winter you're 15 minutes from Northstar and 23 from Palisades, with far less traffic than the south shore routes.

Most Tahoe rentals make you choose between location and amenities. This one doesn't. You're walking distance to Lake Tahoe AND you have a community pool, hot tub, sauna, tennis courts, and an arcade lodge on site. It's also genuinely pet and kid friendly — not just listed that way. Pack 'n play, booster seat, beach towels, gear storage, rollaway bed — it's all already here.
