Waterfront - Private Lagoon - in Park on the Ocean side -beach, pool

Direct waterfront on a private, saltwater, tidal lagoon. Snorkel in safety as the lagoon is stocked with tropical fish and lobsters - no stingrays, no sharks, no jellyfish, no crocs or alligators! The lagoon goes down to 40 feet and was once used for training by the Navy Seals in the early 1960's! prior to being developed as a condo and marina.
Two pools on the property. A jetty goes out to the sea on the Atlantic side where you can watch sunrises and sunsets. You may fish from the jetty. Slip rentals are also available from the Harbor Master at Kawama Yacht Club.

Loved having the lagoon right outside the back door. Water was clear and stocked with lots of really cool fish. The place had been updated from the pictures online and it was very clean. The host, Daniel, was great. Really fast at responding. We had one issue with the grill but he had it fixed in less than 24 hours! Thanks so much for making our first trip to the Keys such a great experience!

What a lovely place to stay in the keys.Our family loved the canoes and the pools. Beds were really comfortable. Thank you for having us. We would absolutely stay again if visiting key largo.

The unit was dated and some of the amenities in the unit did not work. It was to accommodate 6 and there were 4 bath towels that someone took from a Motel 6 a couple of years ago. The gated community was friendly and clean.

I go out of my way to make sure that my guests have a safe, clean and enjoyable experience and I am continually upgrading my homes. I fill them with new appliances, make regular upgrades and continuous improvements.

Kawama Yacht Club is a very unique location in the Florida Keys... we are one of the few places where short-term stays are permitted.
We are located in a gated, guarded complex that is situated right on the Atlantic ocean. The townhomes are nestled between our private, filtered, saltwater lagoon and an annex of John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park - so you are basically staying in a waterfront park!
There is a marina for boaters, slip rentals are separate and can be arranged through the Harbormaster. There is a boat ramp as well.
You may swim in either pool or snorkel in the filtered saltwater tidal lagoon - it goes down to 40 feet and was once used to train Navy Seals prior to the Bay of Pigs invasion in the early 1960's.
It is a unique feature of Kawama.
