Have fun with the whole family at this stylish place. Feat 2king & queen bed! Conveniently on the 4900 block of New Orleans' famous Tchoupitoulas Street in the heart of the amazing uptown corridor! Near all the parade routes, 2 blocks from Rouses, Win-Dixie, and across the street from Golden File Nail Salon! All the street parking around here is free and abundant! This home was beautifully restored but still feats many historic features of a Historic New Orleans Shotgun - Each room is connected!

Great communication but issues with check-in

Our host provided excellent communication leading up to check-in and we appreciated being allowed to drop our bags off before check-in. However, when we returned to the property at 4:30pm (after going to the market and purchasing groceries), it was frustrating that the code we were provided didn't work and the host was unresponsive. VRBO support was barely helpful but after 45 minutes (with refrigerated items in the hot NOLA sun), we were finally able to get in. The property was very clean and decorated nicely, and had very comfy beds and great bedding, which was very much appreciated.

Excellent communication

This New Orleans home was perfect for our quick trip to the city. The home was as described and met our needs. The communication from the property manager was incredible. I often received a response within the hour!

NOLA stay

Overall this is a very nice property and stay! I don’t think it really fits up to 8 people though. We came with a group of 7 and it was very tight quarters. Additionally, the property did not have any cleaning supplies or cooking supplies readily stocked, so it was difficult to clean up messes when cooking, etc. The location is really great for this property! We were a group of 21-22 year old women and felt completely safe in the area and loved how walkable it was!

How It Could Have Been Better

On arrival there was no hot water. The owner fixed this by opening the next door apt, which was unoccupied, for me to take a shower. This involved walking outside on a busy street in my pajama clothes, which was uncomfortable. On the upside, the apt was well-appointed and otherwise comfortable. Could my stay have been worse? Yes. Could it have been better? Absolutely.

Great little hideaway!

We were in town for a cruise and wanted a place near the port. This home was perfect! There were several restaurants and small shops within walking distance. We absolutely enjoyed our stay.

Nashville in January

The accommodations were great. Access was easy, space was good for our family. The location was a 10 min Uber from Broadway. I will definitely stay next time I am in Nashville.

Welcoming

Cute and comfortable home as well as a very communicative host. Just a walk away from a grocery store and across the street from an amazing restaurant. We did not hear any music from the bar and were able to park in front of the home.

Great stay

We had a great stay. Location is on busy street but close to everything. Host was very responsive and fix issues immediately. Will definitely stay here again when back in New Orleans.

great stay - clean - very responsive

This is a typical shotgun and as described ( has doors, but no hallway for privacy between bedroom). Close to grocery stores and Cherry coffee shop. The host responded to our issues with the Nest thermometer and mosquitos promptly and replaced the Nest after the initial inspection did not fix the problem. It is 3 houses way from F&M bar and another bar on the back of the house.

Lovely Getaway

Loved the location, decor, etc. Definitely is a "rehab to rent" upgrade on the house; they could at least take off the stickers from the windows and appliances. There was an issue with the water heater, but the host replied quickly with a solution. All in all was a very nice stay.

NOLA getaway!!

This trip was amazing, from the vibrant and diverse neighborhood, to the hospitality and communication with the host, everything was just about perfect. I fell in love with this elegant and welcoming shotgun house, there was plenty of space for privacy between the rooms yet not an overwhelmingly large space. We will definitely be returning and hope to stay here again

Nice house but I should have read the reviews more closely. It is on a very busy street and we could hear the music from the bar next door until early morning. I had reported that we had 8 people staying and they only left 5 towels. It was a good price and we made it through the night.

Great Stay!

Property was clean and tidy. Nice interior. Bedrooms were big and comfortable. Overall a very nice property for a fair rate. A little far from the French Quarter and other touristy areas, but we mainly walked. If you're driving it isn't too bad. Lots of nearby businesses and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Overall a good place to stay
