A Shore Thing with its proximity to the beach and downtown offers a great escape to Santa Barbara. Just a short walk to the beach and Shoreline Park, where you can wiggle your toes in the sand or find oceanside walking paths and playground for the little ones. A bit further on is Stearns Wharf and Santa Barbara Harbor with restaurants, seafood market, shopping, cruises, whale watching and watersport rentals.

Should you decide to stay put and just relax at this four bed / three bath home, you can do so poolside while enjoying the outdoor BBQ for alfresco dining under the shaded pergola, then unwind in the jacuzzi while stargazing under the night sky. For indoor entertaining, the chef has a bright open kitchen area to flaunt culinary skills while guests socialize around the large island. If you must work, there are two workstations with privacy and reliable connectivity.

At the end of the day, retreat to the upstairs master suite. Enjoy the peek-a-boo ocean and island views from the private balcony. As you drift off to sleep, listen to the crashing waves and an occasional sea lion barking in the distance.

Santa Barbara attractions like the Urban Wine Trail, the Funk Zone, the Mission, museums and many diversions of State Street are all within a short drive.

Housekeeping will be required every 2 weeks for our monthly guests, and will be an additional cost to the guest billed by our housekeeper.
For monthly stays utilities will be included up to a monthly maximum of $400. The overage will be billed to the guest.

“A Shore Thing” was a fabulous home and the perfect location for a girls birthday weekend away. The pictures don’t even do it justice, honestly! It’s truly perfect for a small friends or family gathering. The large kitchen and living space was really ideal for us when we were hanging out together, and the bedrooms were really well situated and spread out around the house in a way that gave everyone needed privacy and accommodated everyone’s varying bedtime and waking schedules. Its located in a lovely residential area and super convenient to all of the downtown attractions, plus only a short drive to Montecito as well. It’s always a little stressful to be the one in charge of picking the accommodations, but this worked out perfectly and everyone was so pleased.

If temperatures below 80 then pool is cool. Not many supplies, need to provide toiletries, all food items and disposables.

Perfect Family gathering

This property was beautiful spacious and luxurious. We found it at the last minute when another property had to cancel because of weather damage. We were so pleased with the addition of the pool and hot tub. Our only regret is our stay wasn’t long enough to enjoy everything we wanted to. We hope to come back.

This place is even better than the photos. I think the photos don't do it justice. The house is amazing -very spacious, tons of places to sit, bedrooms are thoughtfully, well laid out. The pool and backyard are amazing. Very clean! Location is incredible. The only negative was the master suite upstairs does not have any type of door so if you're looking to have some privacy and you don't want ppl barging in on you, this is not the room to stay in lol. I highly recommend that they add a door. The only other issue was a security guard came by at like 8 PM for a noise violation. It was pretty comical, considering we were all in the house watching TV. The kids had been in the pool at like 7:30 At the latest. And yes, they were giggling and screaming and having fun. It was too young girls. The security guard himself laughed about it- because it sounds like the neighbors are super paranoid and don't want you making any noise? it's a beautiful neighborhood but it was a little over the top! If we owned the house, we probably would've been in the pool laughing until 10 PM. Or perhaps they send a security guard over just to double check how many people are there and if we are who we say we are? Either way he was super friendly about it, but it was 8PM and we were eating pizza with our children.
