The white-sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico are just an 8-minute walk away from the front door. Or, you can dip your toes in one of the 11 pools located in the complex (5 heated seasonally). The community has a beach-side pool and clubhouse where snacks and food are available to purchase for guests.

There are no crowded parking garages or long waits for elevators at Sandcastles & Sunshine. The unit sleeps six people and includes a fully-stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a washer and dryer, a 55-inch smart TV in the living room and cable TVs in each of the two bedrooms. There's a dining table and counter seating downstairs.

The master bedroom includes a comfy king bed and a sunroom while guests have a queen and twin bed in the second bedroom. The sofa bed downstairs provides extra sleeping space.

There are 2 beach chairs, boogie boards, pool noodles and a beach umbrella for guests' use. Unwind after a day on the sand on the back patio which features a table, chairs and umbrella.

If movement is what you need, the community also has free mini-golf, tennis courts, children's playgrounds and shuffleboard. A small fitness center on property includes an elliptical machine, treadmill, recumbent bike and a universal weight machine.

There also is a golf cart that can be rented for $50 a day with a $250 refundable deposit. A valid drivers license and proof of insurance is required. No drivers under 25.
