Welcome to Relaxation Ranch in historic Movie Colony East! This secluded, zen destination is perfect for relaxing in the Palm Springs and being a part of Hollywood history. Relaxation Ranch was previously owned by director, producer, screenwriter and designer Joel Schumacher. Across the street is Bob Hope’s second home and within a few blocks you’ll find the homes of Frank Sinatra, Kirk Douglas, Bing Crosby, Lucille Ball and more!
OUTDOOR LIVING SPACES
One step through the gate and you’ll realize you’ve stepped into a fabulous vacation oasis! As you enter the property you’ll find a gorgeous fire pit lounge area - great for relaxing with your group during those cool desert evenings - plus alfresco dining for up to 8 guests & a BBQ grill with a fridge. The resort-style backyard has a large, heated saltwater pool and brand-new spa surrounded by plenty of chaise lounges, a hammock, and more alfresco dining, plus a pergola with an outdoor lounge. Lush landscaping, delicious white grapefruit tree, towering palm trees, and stunning mountain views throughout the front and backyard will take your breath away. EV Charging available, too! This property was truly made for relaxing in the Palm Springs sunshine.
INTERIOR LIVING SPACES
This spacious designer chic vacation home has a great vibe - where the focus is on easy, livable comfort. It's gorgeous and sophisticated but casual and comfortable at the same time. Walls of glass around the property blur the lines between indoor-outdoor living in true Palm Springs style. The free-flowing floor plan is perfect for spending time with your entire group - but there are also some quiet spaces tucked away for curling up with a good book or just getting some alone time. The living room - which features a gorgeous fireplace and a vinyl record player - flows into the adjacent family room where you’ll find an entertainment center. The well-stocked kitchen - perfect for individual and group meal prep - features stainless steel appliances, a breakfast bar, and a kitchen nook - and there’s also a separate dining area!
This property has all the appointments you would expect from a luxury home - high speed internet, upgraded heating/cooling systems & 5 flatscreen TVs.
SLEEPING QUARTERS
All four bedrooms have been beautifully styled and feature a hotel-quality mattress, ample storage, a flatscreen TV (except the queen bedroom), & absolutely gorgeous mid mod inspired wallpaper. The Primary Suite has a King bed and an ensuite bath. A newly added door takes guests outside to a secluded patio with chairs and hammock – a great place for quiet morning coffee! Guest Suite 1 also has a King bed (which can be converted to 2 Twins upon request), and an ensuite bath. Guest Room 2 has a King bed and Guest Room 3 has a Queen bed, and they both share easy access to the Guest Bathroom in the hallway.
LOCATION
Great location in the very popular Movie Colony East - less than a mile from the world-famous Palm Canyon Drive as it cuts through the Uptown Design District. Just 2 blocks away from Ruth Hardy Park - a 22-acre park with tennis, volleyball and basketball courts. Casual eateries, fine dining, coffee spots, art galleries and specialty boutiques are all within walking distance. You'll be just minutes from movie theaters, museums, and live performance venues. This is the ideal location for those who want to be close to everything but just a little bit removed for peace and quiet.
House Rules
• Check-In: After 3 PM | Checkout: 10 AM
• No smoking or vaping
• Renters must be 25 years of age or older
• No Music is allowed outside of the rental home (at any volume)
• Parking is restricted to 1 car per bedroom in designated parking spaces.
• Pets are not allowed in Non-Pet Friendly Properties
• Please do not exceed the max occupancy of the home
• All rentals require state and county tax plus additional required fees
• $1,000 security deposit required
• Spa heating is included with rental costs.
• Pool Heating can be purchased for $100/day from October 15th through April 30th. From May 1st through October 14th, pool heating can be purchased for an additional $50/day. This will be processed separately through VBRO based upon your request.
• Renters will need to review and sign a renter agreement before bookings are final.
