"Turn Some Pages”
Just like you get lost turning the pages in a good book, get lost in the beautiful Carova air during a 13-mile drive on the Four Wheel Drive Beach to arrive at this 2-bedroom, 2-bath vacation rental home. This rental offers air-conditioning/heat, two private bedrooms (each with a queen bed, dresser and tv) and 2 private bathrooms (each with a sink vanity, toilet; 1 with a walk-in shower and the other with a tub shower).

With every good vacation comes good food, made possible with a full kitchen (electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker) featuring an entertaining island (which comfortably seats 4), looking into the open area living space that includes a family style couch (that can comfortably sleep extra guests), an electric fireplace, and a large tv.

Enjoy the salty Outer Banks air and the smell of the charcoal grill while sitting at the high-top outdoor deck table.

Guests also have access to WiFi, a washer/dryer, basement ice maker/sink, outdoor shower, covered parking, and are provided with bedding and towels upon arrival.

Whether you’re up for adventure or one to soak up the sun, this rental is minutes from swimming, fishing, or lounging on the quiet beach, or kayaking/boating in the canals. Watch the wild horses roam or support the Carova Fire Station and even purchase items from their fire-station shop!

This location is not pet, nor smoker friendly.

“Turn some pages” is fantastic - this was our second trip to this house and it did not disappoint - the house is super clean and exactly as advertised - the owners are very quick to respond to messages and extremely helpful - my wife and I would 100% recommend this house to anyone looking to stay on the 4x4 beach - we will be back

Fantastic OBX vacation

This was my family and I’s first year staying on the 4x4 of Outerbanks. “Turn some pages” had everything we needed for an unforgettable family vacation. The house was clean, well kept and comfortable for our family of four. Roy was attentive and quick to respond to any concerns or questions that came up. The house was close to the beach, but yet tucked away enough for some relaxation, peace and quiet. Thank you for an amazing stay!

A little slice of paradise

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Turn Some Pages. The houuse was well-appointed and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The stocked spice cabinet and extra cozy throws were an added bonus. The 4x4 beach was an experience unlike anything we've done before, and we all agree this was our favorite family vacation to date. Staying amidst a nature preserve presented the opportunity to see wild horses, dolphins, sting rays, crabs, and countless birds. We almost had the opportunity to see a turtle nest hatch but the volunteers said we were likely 2 days too soon. If you see volunteers monitoring a nest, don't hesitate to approach. They welcome the chance to educate visitors and let you observe their work. I would highly recommend booking this property. You will be glad you did!

Relaxing!

Great overall stay! House is new, clean, roomy and very comfortable. Kids loved the large sectional sofa and large footrest to play board games. Roy is super responsive. Overall great stay!

Beautiful House, Great Location

Beautiful house with a great location to beach. House is well stocked with everything you could possible need. Enjoyed long days on the beach before relaxing, grilling on the charcoal grill, and playing the provided card and board games with the family.

Excellent

We had an excellent stay. The home had everything we needed for our family. We were able to get in early, which means we beat all the traffic, and had an entire day at the beach! We had two mornings that we were greeted with three beautiful horses. Roy was great to communicate with, and always got back to us in a timely manner. It was a home that we were able to make wonderful memories with our boys.

The perfect family getaway!

This place met or exceeded all our expectations and needs! Clean and new home with all the amenities. We felt at home the moment we walked in. House was neat, clean and well decorated. The house was stocked with everything a family could need to include dishes/utensils, towels, blankets, grilling items and games for the family. We enjoyed our time out on the front porch while relaxing or eating meals. The kitchen and living room were spacious and the granite counter top provided plenty room for us to gather and enjoy meals. The two bedroom house felt cozy yet large enough for each family member to have their own space. We were fortunate to have some horses visit the property for an up close and personal experience. Trips to the beach from the property were made easy due to the short distance and driving our vehicle to the beach each day. We bought groceries on the way down and primarily cooked our meals at home. On a couple of occasions, we left the 4x4 area for a short 30 minute drive for ice cream, shopping and dining. The beach was spacious and felt like our own private beach due to the large space between you and neighbors. We highly recommend this property and look forward to returning each summer :)
