On-Site Housekeeper (Monday–Saturday)
The property has a professional housekeeper on-site Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The housekeeper is present for routine cleaning, laundry, and property operations. Guests should expect staff presence on the property during these hours.

👥 Guest Requirements

The primary renter must be 25 years or older due to insurance and property design requirements.

A signed rental agreement (including guest names and ages) and valid photo ID are required within 24 hours of booking.

Only registered guests listed on the rental agreement are permitted on the property.

To ensure everyone’s safety and peace of mind, we cannot accommodate children under 5 years old due to the spacing between cable railings. This can pose a fall risk for young children who may try to climb or slip through.

No pets, no smoking and no events.

Quiet hours: 8pm–6am.

$500 security deposit hold required.

Travel insurance required for cancellation coverage.

Guest verification via Truvi prior to arrival.

We had a great trip and this property was fantastic! Wai, our concierge, was so helpful and was great in helping us build a great itinerary. We got to see all three kinds of of monkeys from the house. Easy walks to restaurants and bars…and we were able to walk to the beach as well. We would definitely stay here again!

The open design to the rain forest was amazing! We enjoyed the monkeys each morning, and the location put you in the area of restaurants and beaches, and the national park.

Jungle paradise!

We loved staying at Casa Roja - the open air concept is not something we had ever experienced, and this location was perfect for it. Still felt very private and luxurious, while being embedded in the local wildlife. We were visited by howler and capuchin monkeys and beautiful birds. There are nice fans throughout the house to make it pleasant even on a hot day, and the bedroom has its own AC unit to cool off even more if needed. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook, but there are also fabulous restaurants and coffee shops within a short walk. We even visited the local yoga studio, which was a treat. The housekeeper and concierge were both so thoughtful in greeting us and keeping us comfortable. The pool is fabulous and clean, but spectacular beaches are also a short walk away. We hope to be back to this fabulous house and surrounding community!

5 Stars – A Magical Stay in the Heart of the Rainforest!

This house in Manuel Antonio was absolutely perfect! The open design made it feel like the backyard was the rainforest, and every day felt like a true Costa Rican adventure. We were lucky enough to have daily visits from Titi, Howler, and Capuchin monkeys, plus a surprise guest—a three-toed sloth we named Stewy!From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless. Our concierge, Susan, met us at check-in, gave us a full tour, and shared the most amazing news: daily housekeeping from Alayna, who also did our laundry. OMG, dreams do come true! The house itself was spotless, comfortable, and so close to everything. There’s really no need to rent a car in Manuel Antonio; most excursions include transportation, and taxis are easy and affordable (about 10 anywhere).We visited in early July and had a bit of rain every other evening, but it never interrupted our adventures. Two highlights of our trip were the incredible Vanilla Villa Tour and white-water rafting on the Naranjo River—both absolute musts!I already miss waking up to the sounds of Howler monkeys and can’t wait to come back. This home truly felt like a slice of paradise, and we can’t recommend it enough!

Very unique and relaxing spot

Everything about this stay was amazing. The open living room provided soothing jungle sounds while relaxing on comfy furniture. It was an amazing way to start and end every day. Full kitchen allowed us to cook meals but we were a short walk from the incredible dishes at Emilio’s cafe so we didn’t cook as much as we thought we were going to. Besides the many excursion options in the area, we walked down to the beach a few times. The sandy beach offered soft sand, a cool breeze, and gorgeous vistas. As far as communication, it couldn’t have been better. Wai, the concierge, greeted us upon arrival and showed us around the house. He also came to see us off at the end of our stay. He was available by text or email any time I needed him for anything. We also had amazing communication with the home’s owner. Scott gave us a list of the restaurants that he and his wife enjoy. I wish I could have tried them all (next time!). He also had some suggestions for adventurous excursions and beautiful spots to visit within a short drive of Manuel Antonio. From a comfort perspective, the master bed was heavenly and I slept very well with no aches and pains in the morning. The shower has plenty of hot water and just the right amount of pressure.Loved my time in Manuel Antonio and I can’t wait to come back!

Great place to stay to relax and see nature

The house is fantastic, with "in your face nature". We saw all three species of monkey from the open balcony in the span of two days. The house has everything... art, pool, and many other plus'. Highly recommend.

Beautiful home private jungle and sweet cool pool perfect for hot days.

The open air living space and air-conditioned bedrooms were a wonderful best of both worlds. We saw a toucan 20 ft away in tree on first day, white faced capuchin monkeys on several occasions from the open air living room and heard the howler monkeys predawn on our final day. I would highly recommend and hope I can come back sometime to this lovely home.

Great house in Manuel Antonio!

This house was amazing for our Costa Rica trip! Groups of monkeys passed through the treetops everyday, so nonstop entertainment for a family from the US. The house was also spacious with air conditioned bedrooms. Its location in Manuel Antonio was perfect. You can walk to the restaurants, shops, grocery store and beach. Walking is a bit difficult with the tiny roads and hills, but doable. I would recommend renting a 4 wheel drive so you can drive to Espadilla Beach, which was much easier with all the beach gear. The hosts were also helpful. Wai had excellent communication upon arrival and booked all our tours. Would definitely book here again!

WOW!

What a great place to stay! The description of La Casa Roja is bang on! What a great place! Did I mention that already? 4 of us stayed for 6 nights and loved every minute of it. The open air concept was incredible. To be able to sit and watch Howler, White Face and Titi monkeys come through the backyard jungle along with Macaws, Agoutis and the resident Sloth was amazing! The owner, concierge and housekeeper were all great people and made our stay perfect! We highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful 25th Wedding Anniversary vacation

Hello- I give this stay a 10/10. It is everything mentioned in previous reviews and MORE. from the check-in process, the stay, to the check out process was flawless. housekeeping was amazing and Wai (concierge) was wonderful. you WILL be greeted by wildlife everyday. We saw all 3 types of monkeys during our stay. Great restaurants and shopping within walking distance. It truly is an experience we will never forget. So much to do around the area if you want to, but the real entertainment is the animals you will see at the house. the pool really is wonderful as well as it can get hot and humid in the CR sun, but the pool real is refreshing. thank you all!!!

Perfect jungle location!

2 couples shared Casa Roja for a week and loved it. The jungle location saw daily monkeys of all kinds very up close and personal! The jungle canopy provided a welcoming relief from the hot sun, and a dip in cool pool was perfect. The open concept (to the jungle) main living area was so fun. You felt like you were in a tree house. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was perfect. Wai, our property manager was so helpful and prompt with communication. Highly recommend this property

Jungle Living

La Casa Roja was everything we hoped for and exactly as presented. We loved watching the monkeys daily right off the living room balcony. We even spotted a sloth and enjoyed checking on him daily. We had a chef come in one night for supper and recommend trying that a least once. Wai was extremely helpful for all of our needs and requests. We were close to some excellent restaurants and enjoyed the area tremendously.

Extraordinary Jungle House

Casa Roja gave us a once-in-a lifetime experience. The open air concept is beyond unique and allows you to feel like you are lounging right in the middle of the jungle. We had daily visits from a sloth, titi and howler monkeys, and so enjoyed the refreshing pool under the canopy of flora. Scott’s communication is exceptional and the on-site support was also top notch. Thank you, thank you!

Experience of a lifetime

This was included in a week long trip we made down to Costa Rica, 3 nights of which we chose Casa Roja. Best choice! We got to see the resident Sloth with her baby with her immaculate slow motion moves climbing the tree right in front of the balcony. Woke up by the howler monkeys every day very early in the morning. Visited by the Capuchin white face monkeys and their amazing personalities more than a few times!! This trip will always be a great memory in our minds. Especially our 6 & 9 year old sons for sure! Special thanks to Wai and Scott who always kept in touch. Wai made sure to greet us despite our late arrival and explained to us all we needed to know to help us make the very best out of this great memorable stay. This is a place run by beautiful professional staff who know and love what they do. Look no further, you have found the right spot!

Awesome

This place is amazing! Make sure to use the chef for at least one dinner. Everything was perfect. Very clean and communication was excellent. We had rain our whole visit but didn’t stop us from enjoying ourselves. With the open air we had visitors of sloths and monkeys everyday.

Peaceful stay with wonderful views and visits from monkeys

The stay at La Casa Roja was so wonderful that I did not want to leave. It was the best location and had the best views! The host was very friendly and cared about me during my trip as a solo traveler. Even scheduled my excursions! The home looks exactly like the pictures and I really enjoyed the pool while the monkeys watched! Everything is so close!

Jungle stay

The place is nice and spacious! The AC in the bedrooms works great, and the monkeys that visit in the evenings are a nice addition! Housekeeping comes almost every day, so you also get to come home to a made bed which doesn’t happen outside of hotels normally!

Monkeys, sloths and tree house experience

This open living house experience was completely new to us and we loved it. The wildlife was spectacular and we felt like we were in a tree house! The house is beautiful comfortable and beautifully furnished.

Monkey expressway

If you want to enjoy nature from the comfort of home, Casa Roja is the place to be. Everyday we saw a variety of animals, including each of the three monkey families that live there. The house is very comfortable and is close to restaurants and stores. The concierge booked our events, even last minute asks.

We spent 2 nights - which shed we had booked 3 but too late to snatch 3rd night. Place WONDERFUL! Great my location for beach and national park- off main street but easy walk to main street- catch bus, shop, &/or eat.
