Attached apartment to a family home on one landscaped acre in South Anchorage with private entrance. Off street parking, wheel chair ramp, step-in shower, fully equipped kitchen and laundry, peaceful setting with easy access to the Highway to head on your Alaskan adventures or business. Outdoor jacuzzi/hot tub use in common areas. Bedroom with King size bed and sliding glass door out to the deck overlooking landscaped yard and ponds. Additional bedroom with Queen size bed. Occasional moose wandering through the property. Property is organically sprayed for mosquitos, our State Bird.

Joy’s apartment was wonderful. It was very comfortable and convenient. We stayed here during the winter to visit family for the holidays. It was very cold here but the apartment was cozy and warm. We loved the hot tub too. We would stay here again.

This was an excellent property. Clean, comfortable, quiet. Host was very responsive, kitchen was well stocked. We came in at night when it was dark and rainy, google maps took us right to location. Everything was great!!!

Unit was clean and as advertised. Everything worked. Host was very responsive and immediately fixed a mild issue with the Keurig. Unit came with a little care package, which was a nice touch.

Amazing!

Very clean and quiet! This place is fantastic. I encourage anyone needing a vrbo to stay here. It was perfect and owners were very kind and attentive.

Nice, clean, quiet

This property is very nice, clean, quiet and gives you a homey feeling. Joy was an excellent host. Would stay here again and again. East access to the hwy and close to carrs grocery store.

Wonderful location and place to stay

We were here for surgery and the layout way extremely comfortable and convenient for that purpose. However we wold love this place for even normal visits to anchorage. We would very much love staying here again. Highly recommend, top rating.located was private yet extremely conveniently located also.

Great stay!

This 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment was wonderful! Full kitchen, comfortable living area, nicely decorated, private entrance, convenient location… I could go on and on. Host was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended!

Super Clean and Well Appointed

The mother-in-law apartment had everything we needed, and more. The floors, furniture, and bathroom, were all very clean. I've stayed in may rentals, and note that the extra touches did not go unnoticed. It was a very comfortable place to call home for the week. And we enjoyed the very private setting.

VERY accessible place, which is exactly what my senior mom with mobility issues needed. The extra touches were SO appreciated- like the bug spray- USE IT if you explore outdoors at all. Joy was super attentive and kind. Our only regret is not booking additional family that are coming at a later date. It is full now! This will definitely be our preferred place to stay when we come back to see our kids.

Private, Safe, Welcoming

Anchorages best kept secret! This will be the first place I look at in the future for availability. If it doesn’t become too popular, I’m always coming back to stay here. (I’ve found once the word gets out about a nice place they always book up fast.). Great place for families on vacation or someone visiting for business. A bit out of town but that’s what makes it nice and safe…near hwy and main roads for getting going! It was a joy, Joy! Thanks for your hospitality.

Great place to stay for single to family travelers…business or pleasure. Safe, quiet, clean, private, out of the downtown super populated areas so it feels safer and more like being at a home away from home. All amenities of home. W&D, kitchen, bonus is the deck out back w/ hot tub. There were momma moose and babies that meandered through…so if your visiting Alaska for the first time you don’t have to go camping to feel like your in the woods. Will stay again and recommend to family and friends. Thank you again for your hospitality!

Just like home

100% perfect. The comfort level of this rental was amazing. This was the best place to stay as my mom requires a walker to get around. From the entrance ramp to the walk in shower it accommodated her needs.The host even went out of her way to purchase a shower seat. The host has this place set up with everything you can imagine that you would not find in a hotel stay. I highly recommend this place. It is beyond clean and inviting. Joy is an outstanding host. Love everything about this place. A+

A sweet suite

This property is just as stated in the description and was exactly as the pictures. It is in a peaceful location yet is in nice proximity to the airport, downtown Anchorage, shopping and grocery stores. My husband uses a walker to get around and this property worked for him with the entry ramp and step in shower. It worked so well for us that we extended our stay. I appreciated the owner’s flair for design and loved the fluffy rug in the living room. Having a reclining chair was also very helpful given my husband’s condition. The furniture-table, chairs, couch and recliner- was heavy and solid so as to give the needed support for my husband to get in and out of. We used the Master bedroom and the King bed, pillows and linens were so cozy and comfortable I didn’t want to get up. We would definitely stay here again.

South Anchorage Hideaway

The host provides such a warm welcome by going above and beyond with all the amenities (goody basket, treats, drinks, as well as the necessities in the kitchen and bathroom). This place was clean, inviting and perfectly laid out for my mother (80 years old) who has limited mobility. The ramp up to the door, no stairs in the unit, zero entry shower and shower chair worked out great for her. I don’t think she would’ve been able to use the main door on her own as it does take a bit of muscle and dexterity to enter a code, twist the deadbolt and then twist doorknob and shove the door open (it sticks in the doorframe a bit). Wouldn’t be an issue for most, I was able to do it easily enough (able-bodied fit middle aged women). Just thought it deserved a mention in case other ADA guest are looking at this rental. The furniture was all nicely appointed and comfortable. The beds were supportive yet soft and had plenty of bedding and pillows. There was even a fan in the closet which was highly appreciated as I love sleeping with a fan on for comfort and white noise. We barely used the kitchen, but it was fully appointed. It had Kcup coffee not a drip pot. We didn’t use the TV nor desk, but it was set up for someone who would need a work station. We did use the fully stocked laundry. The washer start button needs to be held down from 10-30 seconds before it starts. The dryer is loud, I hadn’t used a gas dryer before, but believe that the sounds it makes at start up was the gas.
