Newly-renovated, beachfront condo at Southwind with stunning interior and views!

This gorgeous two-bedroom, two-bathroom oceanfront unit has undergone a complete renovation with new kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, energy efficient AC system, hot water heater, top of the line kitchen appliances, window blinds and remote controlled shades. The all new furniture, ceiling fans, bedding, towels, and cute decor make this the perfect getaway!

The 8th floor panoramic views are breathtaking! Enjoy views of both the Atlantic and inter-coastal waterway. Best of all, you are just steps from the quiet, non-driving sandy beach. It features a spacious balcony with incredible ocean views with comfortable seating for 6. Sit back in one of the rockers or at the table for a relaxing drink after a day on the beach. A great place to watch for pelicans flying by, dolphins jumping in the ocean or sandpipers playing in the sand.

The Master suite features an adjustable king-sized bed offering quiet, private views of the beach to the east from the 8th floor. The remote-controlled blinds provide blackout for those days you’d like to sleep in. Or, they can be left open for early morning views of the sunrise. USB and multi-outlet charging stations are located on each side of the bed. The adjoining master bathroom has a modern lighted mirror, hairdryer, double sinks with plenty of storage and a beautifully renovated walk-in shower and plenty of soft bath towels.

The second bedroom is decorated with a fun “Whale” theme and includes 2 comfortable queen-sized beds, which is perfect for adults and/or children. The adjacent renovated bathroom includes a modern lighted mirror, hairdryer, bathtub/shower and spacious marble topped vanity.

The bright kitchen was totally renovated and includes all new stainless-steel appliances, granite countertops and tile backsplash. It is fully stocked with all the cookware and bakeware needed to prepare a fabulous meal or just snacks for the family. The dining table seats 6 with counter bar stools adding an additional 2 seats. A perfect gathering place for meals or game night.

The living room features 2 couches, 1 swivel rocker and 1 relaxing chair with stool. The 55” flat-screen smart TV has cable and internet access for your favorite streaming services.
The condo is equipped with beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, a beach umbrella, and games for inside and outside. A new washer and dryer are located in the unit. There is easy access to wireless internet and cable TV for the living room and both bedrooms.

Southwind is a 12-story condominium and was built in 1980 with 55 individual two and three bedroom condos. The complex is known as one of the best buildings on the beach and has recently undergone a $1 million renovation. The complex amenities include tennis courts, pickle-ball courts, basketball courts, shuffleboard courts and a large seasonally heated swimming pool, with plenty of comfortable lounge chairs. There is also a sundeck just off the beach providing additional lounge chairs. There is a beautiful grassy lawn between the building and the beach. The pool and other amenities are off to the side, providing an unobstructed view of the ocean. There are two charcoal BBQ grills available for use in the public area near the pool.

Southwind also features a secure entry gate access system. The unit includes 2 parking inside the gates (parking permits issued at the main office).

There is a beautiful penthouse retreat on the 12th floor offering spectacular views of the east coast and the Halifax River to the west (this is occasionally reserved for holidays and other events, so it is not a guaranteed amenity). It features a kitchen, comfortable seating areas, billiard tables, ping pong, card tables, TV, games and a fireplace. From the roof desk, you can take in expansive views of the ocean. There are two elevators to easily get you to your vacation rental.

The front door lock is electronic and provides you with a unique and secure entry code allowing for self check-in. The door code and gate code will be provided prior to arrival. Smoke detectors are new.

Onsite parties or group events, pets, smoking are strictly prohibited. A list of resources and rules are provided in the unit.

Don't forget to bring:

While we provide an initial supply of toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, and trash bags to get you through the first 24 hours, we recommend you bring the following: suntan lotion, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, napkins, dishwashing liquid, laundry soap, coffee and coffee filters, beach items, and anything else you may need for the perfect vacation.

Checkout is at 10:00 am and check-in is at 4:00 pm. Please note that we cannot accommodate early check-in or late check-out during peak season. There are no pets allowed.
