The design was inspired by the great castles of Spain, with 18-inch thick concrete walls and huge, thick archways that separate the open-plan interior spaces. Los Arcos is a new home but looks like it could have been sitting on this hill for centuries.
Amenities include perhaps the nicest view on the island of Vieques and one of the best in the Caribbean, complete with the outdoor living spaces. Deep, wide, shaded, travertine-tiled balconies face the ocean with comfortable furniture and natural seating areas exposing views through arched openings and receiving constant breezes from the trade winds. Step off the balcony from the main house or the guest villa and step right into the solar heated infinity pool, with a bench and tables built in, also facing the views. Cushioned lounge chairs dot the balcony offering comfort and serenity to enjoy the vistas.
