Wonderful House

Our stay at the Waves was wonderful. The house is very clean and beautifully maintained. I felt every consideration had been given to the guest experience.

First time to Jamestown!

The property was fantastic ! Just the right amount of space in this lovely , well appointed home. We were 6 adults and 3 children 15,12 and 10 and we had lots of room. The grounds and Koi pond are amazing. The proximity to the beach, town and Newport was great.

We are a group of eight retired professionals. We come from WadLong Island, Auburn NY, Annapolis, MD

Home was perfect, well stocked with all our needs. Clean and comfortable. House information was detailed and there were no issues of any kind. Would highly recommend this rental.

Wedding Week at Waves

Family getaway

Our second time staying at this property and the experience never disappoints. Wonderfully appointed and comfortable. Literally has everything available on hand. Caretaker greeted us and answered our questions. She also gently reminded us about things like when to put the garbage curbside. Important task when staying for two weeks and with 6-8 people coming and going. We have rented many different houses over the years and this one is the easiest to stay in. Perfect location with ample parking and easy walk to beach, grocery store or town. Highly recommend.

Jamestown - Ideal Location

Beautiful Jamestown home in an ideal location - walkable to Mackerel Cove Beach, local grocery store, playground, nearby restaurants. Much appreciation for how well organized Betsy's home is for visiting guests; also, it is so special staying in a home filled with artwork of the stunning local landscape. We had a wonderful stay with 3-generations of family members enjoying the spacious home. Thank you!

The Waves was Great!

The Waves in Jamestown is a wonderful house, and Betsy is a terrific hostess. All the bedrooms are well sized and the kitchen, dining room and living room are comfortable for a family or large group. The outside patio and the yard are great. The house was equipped with everything we could possibly need. Finally, the location was perfect for us. It is within easy walking distance to a beach, a playground, a market, and a wine store, and it is an easy bike ride to a great ice cream parlor.

Beautiful, well maintained home in Jamestown

Beautiful home, very well maintained and very well organized. We had seven adults in our group, all family, and there was plenty of room. It was such a nice home, my wife and I could not believe it is available on VRBO.

Short family break

My family loved this house. Everything was well organized and there was comprehensive summary of need to know workings of the home. The kitchen especially was well equipped. We loved feeding the fish and the backyard was so peaceful, I spent most mornings out there before rest of family woke up. The beach was small but convenient and there was a wonderful bakery a short walk from house. It was so nice returning to Jamestown after a day in busy Newport. We all loved staying here and hope to return next year! Highly reccommend.

Three generation family gathering in a delightful setting

Our family of eight, including grandparents, children and grandchildren, had a wonderful weeklong stay at The Waves. The house was ideal -- everything you could need, very clean, and extremely well organized. Each of our family groupings had its own sleeping area and bathroom, and there was a lot of common space for meals and gatherings of the entire group. The house is beautiful, very nicely furnished, and very well located. We enjoyed a short walk to Mackerel Cove Beach, and there is an excellent food store just a couple of blocks away. East Ferry, with shops, restaurants, and the ferry to Newport, is an easy walk. There is also a pleasant patio and lovely back yard. Jamestown itself is a wonderful place to stay -- slow-paced and bucolic, but also with plenty of interesting things to see and do. We're hoping for a return gathering next summer.

The “Waves” is a magical place … beautiful home filled with the owner’s personal art and travel mementos and well stocked with whatever you would need! Very responsive owner and. Caretaker. Jamestown is a very special island.. quiet , low key.. beach, ice cream , playground .. what more could you need??

We had a wonderful week. House was beautiful. Clean, organized and had everything you would need in kitchen. Great location to beach , town and grocery store. Close to Newport. We would definitely rent again.

House meets expectations from online listing. Manager and owner responsive and honestly we didn’t need to ask many questions as description and house instructions very detailed. Good location and well equipped house!

Wonderful family stay in Jamestown

My extended family had a wonderful week in Jamestown at this house that is perfectly suited for groups. The kitchen was completely stocked, the rooms spacious and comfortable, and we really enjoyed the location––we walked to town for lunch, used the wagon to walk to Mackerel Cove, and made the short drive to Beavertail, kayaking at Fort Getty, and more. The house is stocked with everything you need and the neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. Thank you so much!

Beautiful Jamestown getaway-near everything

Our family had a need for a large, place to commemorate our mom’s life after her passing this year. Large family, needing comfortable, modern space with lots of meeting areas through a long weekend. This more than met our needs and is a place we will certainly return to in the future-wonderful home, open concept, lots of sleeping and living space with beautiful decorations, great garden, well-appointed kitchen, etc. Betsy was a great host and was quite responsive despite being away during our trip. Highly recommended!

Family Vacation 2018

This property was the perfect place to enjoy a family vacation. The location was perfect and the home was just beautiful. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to create wonderful meals and the dinning room table was just the right size for meals and evening games. The relaxing soothing sound of the Koi pond was an extra benefit. This was one of our families best vacations ever. Thanks for the memories!

THE Nicest Place We Have Ever Stayed!

Betsy, Our group of four couples thoroughly enjoyed your lovely home. In the twenty-five years that we have gathered for a long weekend - the last nine as empty-nesters - we all agreed this was THE nicest place we have ever stayed! All of us found the beds comfortable and the various gathering spots so lovely. We used the Main House and the Carriage House. It was very convenient to be able to traverse between the two. One couple who rents their second home is going to adopt your labeling system to help keep their second home organized. Another guest is going to incorporate some of the design features of this wonderful home into a home she builds someday. One favorite spot for most everyone was the expansive window seat. Perfect for a mid-day snooze. We had one totally non-rainy day during our weekend and therefore were thankful for the large house to spread out in while reading, playing board games and chatting to keep ourselves entertained until the rain stopped. The koi pond was very relaxing to lounge beside on our one sunny day. You seem to have thought of everything to make your guests comfortable. Thank you so much for sharing your home! Beautiful house in great location

Our extended family has summered in Jamestown for many years. We found The Waves the perfect spot for two couples, grandparents and 3 children We love the village location where you can walk to town, or the beach. The house is well laid out with large bedrooms, attractive common areas and quiet nooks. It was stocked with everything we needed for a lobster dinner, and we ate in more than we ate out. The backyard is beautiful, private and great for BBQing. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. We've planning to book again for next year! AAA+

Well Equipped

We thoroughly enjoyed our weeklong stay in Jamestown, visiting family and area attractions. The kids loved visiting Windmist Farm and picking blueberrys in the backyard.The Waves provided delightful accommodations for us. We were so comfortable and content. This lovely place is exceptionally well equipped. We are very appreciative of all your careful attention to every detail! Hopeful we can return. Thank you!
