We had never been to Newport and went on this trip for a wedding. This is a great property; very clean. Even though we knew little about Newport we found the property to be walkable to everything we wanted/needed to do. The host, Linda, was very kind and texted to make sure everything was ok and responded promptly when we had a question. We had a great stay!

Linda was an outstanding host while the property really lived up to advertised. The location coupled with the property made our stay so enjoyable. The extremely clean house provide plenty of space for everyone gather as well as private bathroom and bedrooms. We spent a good amount of time, while not walking around and exploring Newport, in the back garden area that was an oasis.

Excellent location and property

Stayed here with 7 adults and 2 small children over Jazzfest weekend. The property itself is charming, with beautiful aged flooring and a charming patio area, and is ideally located for walkability in town - to Thames St, restaurants, the Sailing museum, Cliff Walk, and driving to the south. Very close to the water. The home was immaculate, and very well stocked, including fresh flowers and welcome nibbles, by the owner. Property owner was exceptionally helpful and easy to communicate with. Definitely recommend.

We stayed at Linda’s home for a family wedding at Castle Hill. The location of this house is perfect to experience all things Newport. The home is so clean, well stocked and spacious. We were so surprised to find water, snacks and games in the home. Linda is so responsive and helpful - she allowed an early check-in for our group and provided an extra parking pass. We were so lucky to find this gem and would definitely return!

A wonderful Visit

The house was immaculate! The best VRBO we have stayed in over the last 6 years. Linda was very responsive and was a delight to work with. The cottage is in a great location and Newport is a wonderful spot!

Such an amazing spot in downtown Newport!

We had the best time at Waypoint! It was a perfect location and the house itself was beautiful with many thoughtful touches. Linda was very communicative and we didn’t have any issues with the house or stay. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back and stay again!

My friends and I had an amazing time in Newport. It was the perfect place to celebrate my 70th birthday! Linda was an exceptional host and her home is beautiful. Great Weekend

Our hostess, Linda, was easy to communicate with. She quickly answered all of my questions. When I asked for recommendations of places to eat and things to do she provided excellent information. The restaurants she recommended were great! The house was clean and Linda went above and beyond to make it feel like home. We had a great time and would highly recommend Linda, her home and Newport. Looking forward to coming back.

Amazing Newport Home

This is the nicest and most wonderful house we have rented. Linda is incredibly gracious and thoughtful. Everything was perfect. Beautiful flowers, snacks, drinks and wine were waiting for us. The house is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. Great backyard for morning coffee or evening cocktails. Our family of 7 and a baby were in town for the Newport half marathon Easter weekend and couldn't have enjoyed a place more. Her attention to detail is amazing. Great and easy to communicate with. The house is in an ideal location in town, walking distance to everything but quiet. I hope we have a reason to return.

How Excellent!

Our first visit to Newport will certainly not be our last, due, in large part, to the amazing house we stayed in. Linda was a spectacular hostess, always accessible and very helpful. The property was perfect for our family of 7 (4 adults and 3 kiddos). Very clean, exceedingly well stocked with everything we needed, great location.

Newport Family Visit August 2024

I will start off by saying our stay at Waypoint exceeded our expectations. Our first visit to Newport. The host was very accommodating. Linda provided details of the house, its location and things to do. She was very interactive and answered all our questions. The House was as advertised and better. It was well appointed, felt like a home and not a rental property. It was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and well stocked with provisions. thank you very much. Waypoint's location was perfect. In a quiet neighborhood, but close (walking distance to all the activities of Newport). Plenty of shops and restaurants. The patio was a nice surprise. A great place for coffee in the morning and drinks after dinner. thank you for the use of the house and your hospitality. Would return again.

Perfect Newport Property

We loved staying at Waypoint. Linda was an excellent and thoughtful host and promptly answered any questions we had. The house is perfectly located for a trip to Newport and is within walking distance of a lot of restaurants, shops and bars. We would absolutely stay here again!

Wonderful home on lower Thames

We were so impressed with the property and the hostess. Very clean. Location is great. A short walk to the heart of downtown. Outdoor area is adorable - making the most of the smaller space Beds are comfortable and linens are high quality. We stayed for a family wedding. Would absolutely return.

Checked every box

We were a family of 5 with 2 plus ones who were in Newport for our son’s wedding. The house comfortably accommodated us with bedrooms, bathrooms, inside & outside seating areas, parking spaces, and an in town location. The home was stocked with everything one needed. Linda could not of been more accommodative!

Lovely house in a great location

This was our first trip to Newport. We were looking for a walkable location. This was perfect. We were close to restaurants, shops and museums. The house was well equipped, clean and the decor was beautiful. Linda was a wonderful host and provided lovely amenities upon our arrival! She was very welcoming and offered advice on area restaurants, sights and shopping. A wonderful trip!

Great lodging choice in Newport

While in town for a wedding at The Bohlin, Wayport was convenient to all scheduled and downtime activities - coffee shops, bars, restaurants... The house and yard were immaculate and well-stocked. The owner was extremely responsive to inquiries, easing the process. We will stay there again when in town.

Wonderful wedding weekend

Our stay was excellent! The house is very welcoming and comfortable and contained everything we needed for a long weekend stay. The extra amenities are a very welcome touch when coming from further away. The host ( Linda) was very accommodating and very quick to respond to questions. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Lovely and Convenient

Home was great. Owner was amazing to deal with. Very nice touches like some basics in the fridge when we arrived. Very pretty, simple and cozy. A perfect family rental.
