We are located in the mid-south part of the island. This amazing cottage, located in a quiet neighborhood, sleeps up to 8ppl. With so many activities SSI has to offer, you will be less than a mile walk to Redfern village where some of the great restaurants and shops are located, a beautiful 15 min bike ride to the beach or you can explore the hidden attractions close by and connect with nature. We are a dog friendly place with a great fenced backyard and are committed to provide you an “amazing southern hospitality experience.”

The most enjoyable stay!

Me and my friends stayed at the sunflower hideaway for a month and it was so amazing. The owners communicated very well with us and the house was the perfect fit. It was spacious and so cute with sunflowers everywhere!! Would definitely recommend staying at the sunflower hideaway!

Tranquil, relaxing home in beautiful St. Simon Island

This is a lovely home on a picaresque tree-lined street. It looks like the home was recently remodeled, and everything had a fresh look to it. The host answered all our questions and helpfully recommended some good places to eat. We are already planning to book Sunflower Hideaway for next year!

Exactly as described!

Sunflower Hideaway was exactly as the pictures and description stated. Everything we needed (plus a few extras) was provided- so much so that we over packed! The location was great, although a little further from beach than what we usually book. Owners were quick to respond when needed and very accommodating. Would book this property again!

Sunshine House

The Host was available and very helpful. House was cute and clean. The furniture was most uncomfortable for relaxing, however, and the beds were much too firm for our liking. The house has great potential, and is very convenient to all of the amenities.

The Perfect Beach Getaway

I’ve been to SSI many times over the years, and the Sunflower Hideaway is now my all time favorite place to stay. It was super clean, well-appointed, spacious, comfortable, and had a wonderfully stocked kitchen. The front porch is adorable and you can’t beat the view above of a canopy of trees. Did I mention the double head steam shower? Heaven. The host was incredibly responsive and gracious, and truly helped make my first Christmas with my partner spectacular. Kudos!

Host failed to take responsibility for dog poop in bedroom.

We arrived to the property and there was dog poop inside the house that we stepped in. Owner blamed it on us. Rest of the stay was pleasant. Just wish they’d of tried to make it right.

The house was throughly cleaned prior to this guest arriving and was inspected not only by the cleaner but also by the owner. There was no poop at all. The guest had a dog at the residence and neglected to pay the pet deposit at time of booking. When we asked about the dog that he brought, all of the sudden there was a poop "issue" after the guest had been there overnight; he also asked that the pet fee be waived in exchange for a 5-star review on VRBO.

Thoroughly enjoyed a 3-week stay at the Sunflower Hideaway. The house was consistent with the listing - plenty of space inside, and the backyard was fenced and private. It’s in a nice neighborhood and a convenient location. Would highly recommend.
