Ideal ski retreat for family of 4 - beautiful location on a quiet pond a easy 15 minute ride to Sunday River. Property was clean and well stocked with everything one would need. Communication and check in with Tracey was outstanding. Would stay again without hesitation.

The space was cozy and inviting. A great spot to relax after a day of skiing at Sunday River which is so close. The kitchen had everything you need and beds were comfortable. A great place to getaway for a few days. The hosts were great about communicating about our visit too.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful time staying on Howard pond rental , it's perfect We will definitely be staying again 15 mins from Sunday river , perfect location Thank you for everything Branley family

Sweet place!

We thought this was a perfect place: reasonable distance to Sunday River but away from the crowds. House is as pictured! You enter from the ground level and walk upstairs, with the entry way being a great place to leave all your snow gear to dry out. Kitchen was fully stocked, so we were able to cook dinner. Would def book again!

Comfy cozy cabin!

What a beautiful location on Howard pond!! The cabin was very comfortable and cozy! The whiplash weather made it challenging for outdoor activities but loved just relaxing in the comfy living room. I loved walking in the neighborhood and would love to return in the summer! I loved exploring Bethel! Thanks

Great cozy place for ski trip

We had a great time staying at Tracey and Paul's place over the Christmas holiday. The location was fine - a very reasonable drive to the mountain at Sunday River. The house was equipped with everything we needed and Tracey and Paul were very friendly and responsive to all of our questions. It is a very rural area so be prepared to drive a bit in order to get to restaurants or food shopping but that didn't really bother us. Highly recommend!

The house did not seem ready for rental.

We were lucky to have my son and his family on the pond. The place above the garage did not have much privacy only bc the owner has a house on the same property. Beginning had lots of company and neighbors walking up the driveway as a cut through. Pretty sure the rental had been vacant for a little while. The first night the bathroom was swarmed with little flies from the drains not being used. They did respond immediately the next day when I told them but I still had to buy insect spray to get rid of them and run the water down the drain the next night. The dust on the blinds and base boards caused dust mites so we were getting bitten. Parking was an issue because the 2 car garage is always used. We didn’t park far away by any means. Just had to check when they were coming in with their RV so we could be out of the way. For privacy purposes, pond view and pond access I would not rent again. Donna

Great ski weekend

My husband, myself and our 2 young kids had the best time at this cozy cabin in the woods. We skied Sunday River which was just a 20 minute drive up the road and the kids were always eager to go home to the “cozy cottage”. It was perfect for our family of 4 and I was amazed at how spotless the place was. Tracey and Paul were lovely to work with. Would definitely go back!

A great mountain getaway!

My family and I throughly enjoyed staying with Tracey on Howard Pond. The house was spotless on arrival, very easy to get to, and a quick drive from Sunday river. The WiFi unexpectedly went out and Tracey went above and beyond to make sure the problem was fixed. We’d definitely stay here again!

Ski weekend

Wanted to book a horn for my family to stay for an extended ski weekend, and was not disappointed. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, and even made sure the driveway was clear during a snow storm!! The place was clean, quiet, and had everything we could need. We will definitely come back next year!!

Wonderful experience

The property was clean, well stocked with all the essentials and an easy ride to both Black Mountain and Sunday River. A well stocked kitchen and washer and dryer is the key to our success when traveling with two little ones. Would definitely book it again!

Fantastic Ski Getaway!

The Apartment is cozy, clean, and beautifully situated! It is so quiet and peaceful there. The kitchen is very well equipped (VERY!). The beds are comfortable. The living room is great for hanging out with the family after a day of good skiing. Tracey is a gracious host and responded immediately to all my questions. We will definitely stay here again!

Perfect location for skiing at Sunday River

We really enjoyed our stay here, we were skiing for the weekend at Sunday River and it was a very short drive to the mountain. The unit was very cozy and perfect for the 4 of us visiting, would highly recommend this rental to others.

Rude Host

The property was clean and large enough. She let us check in a little early which was nice. But please read the fine print. It states linens are included under the amenities, but the fine print says that sheets are not unless requested. The host asked us to wash all the sheets and place them folded on the bed, and if I didn't, I would be charged $50. It was a strange request, but I agreed. However, the stackable washer/dryer is extremely small, it took 3 loads to wash/dry the flannel sheets. I left the last load in the dryer in order to check out on time and informed the host- she was not happy and we ended up being charged $25. She also accused us of taking pillow cases and wine glasses which was untrue. I wrote to her saying that we did not take those items but she never replied. Property is on a steep hill which was quite dangerous in the snow. It also is 20 minutes from Sunday River.

Fantastic, private, relaxing, close enough to have easy access to restaurants and other activities

We would go there again in a heartbeat. We have been telling our children about the wonderful stay and showing them a lot of pictures (especially the snowfall set against the foliage).

Picturesque, clean, cozy, place

Our Family stayed here to ski at Sunday River. The place is charming, cozy, clean and located in a picturesque spot. The kitchen is fully equipped w everything you might need. Tracey is very attentive and helpful with anything we asked her. We would definitely come back. 😊

I built this home on the back lot of my lake front log cabin. Located in a four season area, it is a great vacation spot. Sunday River Ski Reaort is minutes away. There is easy walkable access to a public beach on Howard Pond. Views from the porch are spectacular.

This an easy 12 minute drive to Sunday River Ski Resort, yet provides the quiet evening you deserve at home. The balcony allows you to enjoy your cocktail outside for total relaxation while enjoying the tranquil environment.
It's a one minute walk to the town beach during summer months. Great swimming and kayaking. Trout and salmon can be caught in Howard Pond. The foliage in the fall is spectacular.
