I've been to Tybee more than a dozen times; hands down this is my favorite unit. It is well stocked and very clean, great bedding, contactless check in/out. Most of all...the views!!!!! Unobstructed is an understatement. This unit has direct beach access through parking garage. Management group so accommodating. Thank you for sharing your unit with us!

Stunning views

My husband and I stayed here for 3 weeks to escape the NE winter. Comfortable condo, great location and loved seeing the sunrise and cargo ships on the horizon. But ….. the smokers on the balcony below us forced us to close all windows and come inside when they were out there. Spoke to the office and evidently smoking on the balconies is allowed. Also, the kitchen is poorly equipped… no dish drain, no extra towels or dish cloths, no spices , no storage containers. So come prepared with everything including toilet paper! The smoking would make me think twice about coming back…. Otherwise loved it!

I'm torn...

My elderly mother and I rented this unit for a mother-daughter getaway. It's in a great location right on the ocean. Overall, the unit is clean, though it could use some updates. The appliances and furniture are showing wear, but serviceable. It should be noted that this unit does not offer a folder/binder with useful information like a map of the island, the location of the grocery store, local restaurants, shops, or other attractions, so be sure to stop at the tourist office on your way into town. The woman working there is super sweet! On our first night we experienced a catastrophic plumbing failure at roughly 9:20pm from the unit above; water was pouring from the ceiling and light fixture over the master tub. There was no emergency number listed on our check-in information, so I called the after hours "lock out" number. Workers came out the next morning to fix the issue, though we were left with a gaping hole in the ceiling (covered by a thin film) for the duration of our stay. Positives: Location! It's right on the beach. Negatives: The management company seemed disorganized. On the morning after the plumbing issue, two employees had me on speaker phone to find out the scope of the problem so they could schedule workers. They didn't realize repairs were already being made. To those workers - thank you for your kindness. To the management company - a simple "I'm sorry for your inconvenience" would have been an appropriate response at any point during our stay.

Relaxing Fall Break

We decided that we would drive halfway to Disney on Sunday as that was our vacation destination. Our check in at Disney was Monday, and as our plans quickly changed due to hurricane Milton, I quickly looked up beachfront condos in Tybee due to being about 3 hours away. The front desk lady was so quick and amazing to accommodate our needs, said she had exactly what I was looking for and it was already ready for check in. The condo was amazing, great view and so relaxing. Our family said this was one of our favorite trips we have taken this far. Beach was not packed, the weather no one could control, but outside of all things we really enjoyed the time we spent at Beachside Colony Resort.

I chose this neighborhood because it’s home. I moved to Tybee Island in 1978 and have been part of Beachside Colony since its construction in 2000. Over the years, I’ve watched this community grow while still maintaining the relaxed, family-friendly feel that makes Tybee special. Guests love this location for its direct beach access, walkability, and central mid-island setting that makes getting anywhere on Tybee easy. In addition to managing condos here, I’m also an owner at Beachside Colony, which means I care for this property the same way I care for my own. The location offers the best of the island—easy beach access, a true resort atmosphere, and a place I’m proud to share with guests.
