Ocean view was perfect! We loved sitting on the balconies and watching the sunrises, ships coming into the harbor along with hearing and watching the waves is so relaxing. This location is highly recommended for anyone wanting oceanfront views on Tybee!!! Love Tybee Time!!! The only thing that was a little hard for older ladies, was no step-in shower or higher toilet. It was difficult for a couple of us to get in and out of the shower.

Bad check in process. Could not get into the room. Called for help and received a call back two hours later. Jacuzzi in bath did not work. Air was locked at 72 degrees. With all the sun coming in the windows we needed it at 71 degrees. View was great as advertised.

This was the perfect place for our family to stay. A few steps to the beach, we saw dolphins from our balcony, and walked to the pier for some great views.

Girls Trip

The condo didn’t disappoint, we were looking for a place on the beach we could relax and listen to the ocean and this was perfect. Location is great, we were able to get into Savannah easily and found a couple of wonderful places on Tybee to eat. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing your condo with us.

The condo was clean and the kitchen was stocked with items for us to cook. The only two suggestions I would have is to upgrade the "old-fashioned" coffee pot with a pod-style for K-cups usage. And, it would be helpful for the cleaning company to wipe the chairs on the balcony as they were very dirty and we had to clean them before we sat outside to enjoy the view. The management team on-site was very friendly and helpful! We will definitely look at returning to Beachside Colony in the future, especially since many condo's allow fur-kids!!!!

The location of BCR, along with the Deck Beach Bar and pools, makes the stay so convenient, so relaxing and pleasant. The walk to the beach is such an easy walk. We seek out oceanfront properties since we live in land locked IN. Sitting on the balcony and watching the sun rise, watching the beach walkers and the tide ebb and flow are highlights. We are planning to return in the near future and BCR will be our first choice for accommodations. While our review of BCR is positive, we were disappointed in the condo we selected. The description of the three bedroom condo said that one bedroom had a queen sized bed. It was only a double, which was not comfortable. The cleaning could have been better; cabinet doors, in places, needed cleaning, hair in tub drain was unpleasant, some kitchen equipment should be tossed and replaced. However, this is the only time we have been disappointed in a condo that we have rented at BSC. As stated previously, we will return, but not to Beach House 434.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family rented BeachHouse 434 for 2019 Thanksgiving week. While we liked the location, we were disappointed in the condo unit and a few things about the resort. First, we arrived to find a note on the sliding door to the main balcony that the door was broken. We could not use the balcony. The door to the tiny balcony in the MB tended to go off track and was difficult to open (the two balconies do not connect). We always rent a beachfront condo/house and look forward to mornings and evenings on the balcony to enjoy the view and sounds of the ocean. We learned that the owner had known about the broken door for several weeks and not fixed it. The resort manager did give us a discount because of the broken door, because they did not have another available beachfront unit. There was a problem with the main TV for several days. The condo was basically clean but the floor needed work. The “queen” bed was actually a double. The twin beds were rickety with mattresses needing replacement. The outside lights by the unit, elevator and most in the hall on our floor did not work due to wiring problems (according to a maintenance man). We had to use a flashlight to enter the door code. The staff was pleasant but could not seem to get maintenance items taken care of. As for the onsite restaurant – don’t expect to eat there during the offseason. You never know when they will be open or close early.

I chose this neighborhood because it’s home. I moved to Tybee Island in 1978 and have been part of Beachside Colony since its construction in 2000. Over the years, I’ve watched this community grow while still maintaining the relaxed, family-friendly feel that makes Tybee special. Guests love this location for its direct beach access, walkability, and central mid-island setting that makes getting anywhere on Tybee easy. In addition to managing condos here, I’m also an owner at Beachside Colony, which means I care for this property the same way I care for my own. The location offers the best of the island—easy beach access, a true resort atmosphere, and a place I’m proud to share with guests.
