Reviewer Comments:
The location, the view and the lovely beach made our stay a dream come true, but (sadly) for the price we paid, other elements of our stay did not live up to our expectations. We found the kitchen to be poorly stocked, with what looked like discarded items from a garage sale filling the cabinets. Our first shock was the discovery of dried on food on ALL of the plates in the cupboard, requiring us to do a complete dish washing of all culinary and dishware before using anything. Knowing that we were paying an extra "cleaning fee" made it more than insulting to have to begin to clean before we could feel comfortable preparing food in our kitchen! To make matters worse, our party of six had only four coffee mugs on hand. Various other items in the unit was either in need of upgrade, or was not working (the lock mechanism on the front power in the outlets on the balcony...). Overall, the unit was in need of a overhaul. Just as we have experienced during our prior stays at Cinnamon Beach via the management company, we find the information demanded (names/ages/driver's license numbers/SS numbers) for guests to be excessively intrusive. The expectation that NO other individuals will spend any time in the rental unit during the stay is also absurd, especially if other family members are staying on site, or live in the area. I understand that some folks may have abused the system in the past does not mean that it is wise to treat each guest with such suspicion. Sorry to be so negative about these issues, but for $400 a night, I expect better.
