Huge 8BR Lakefront Lake Anna, Beach, Dock, Hot Tub

Summary:

A World Away is a massive luxurious lakefront home with 3.5 acres and 600 feet of shoreline with incredible long-range views of the Public Side of Lake Anna. Ideal for family gatherings or large groups because it has ~7,567 sqft and 8 bedrooms including 5 spacious suites, a furnished deck, hot tub, firepit, large yard, and sandy beach. Indoors, entertainment abounds with pool table, ping pong, foosball, and a theater. Outside, enjoy easy access to swimming, boating, kayaking, fishing, and more!



Guest Access:

You have full access to our entire house, and property. Please let us know if you plan to rent a Pontoon Boat so we can refer you to our premier partner (DV Rentals LKA)! We have a boat ramp and pier that you can use during your stay.

4WD/Traction May Be Required In Winter

We stayed at this beautiful property on Lake Anna and had a wonderful experience overall. The views were absolutely incredible and made the stay feel special from the moment we arrived. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed during our stay.One of the highlights for our family was the movie room—having candy and popcorn provided was such a fun and thoughtful touch, and the kids absolutely loved it.The only downside was that we visited in December and were really hoping to enjoy the hot tub, but it wouldn’t heat past 99 degrees, so it felt more like a warm bath than a true hot tub experience.Aside from that, this was a great property and we truly enjoyed our time there. We would definitely consider staying again, especially in warmer months.

An amazing home in a fantastic location. We used this home for a company offsite/retreat. It was prefect. Very private, enormous lot, with huge lake front area. Great boat dock, beach and fire pit area. The house was so large I don't think we got to use parts of it, but there is something in this house for everyone. The host was super communicative and we had a great time.

This was an incredible house for our family reunion with 18 people- 13 adults and 5 kids! With the bedrooms in 2 wings on either side of the house and the living/play areas in the center, it made it super for napping kids to still have quiet while the rest of the family played. The hosts were incredibly responsive to any needs we may have had throughout the visit. The beachfront at the lake was wonderful and all of the toys, kayaks, paddleboards made our stay so fun! We brought our own boat and then rented another one for one of the days and kept it at the house's dock. The kid's playroom was fantastic for the toddlers. This was the perfect spot for our family reunion...and, as always, Lake Anna did not disappoint!

Beautiful property but could use some attention to repairs.

We arrived 30 minutes after our check in time. The cleaning crew were still in the midst of their hard work. They were kind and told us it would be another 1/2 hour. It took over an hour. We stayed outside to wait. The fridge was left dirty and we had to clean it. The one microwave was unusable and had a shattered glass front. Kitchen items were broken, missing or of poor quality. We contacted the manager as we did not even have enough silverware for us all to eat one meal together. They shipped silverware, cutting boards, pots/pans, hot pads, new pillows and other items which arrived the next day! This was excellent!!Another issue we reported, and a service tech came to the house, was that several bathrooms in the house would have hot water for a minute or two, then it went cold and never got warm again. After the repair man was there, the problem stopped for a shower or two but then returned. This was annoying.Suggestions; new couches/chairs/throw pillows in the living rooms, new outdoor furniture, a new hot water heater, new corn hole (bags were loosing the beans and boards are warped). The whole house generator needs serviced, if you loose power, it won't work.All this said, we had a great time and really enjoyed the property. That is why I gave it 4 stars. The manager was responsive and kind and I think he will make improvements. We would come again! Hopefully some repairs will be made in the near future to make it truly a fabulous place to stay!

Perfect Spring Vacation

We travelled to see family for Easter in the DC area and rounded out our trip at ‘A World Away’. Our teenagers were thoroughly entertained. We enjoyed the serenity and beautiful finishes of the home. You can be as busy or lazy as you like at this home. We will definitely be back.
Lovely lot with privacy, and views!

Fantastic Stay at a Beautiful Property!

We had an amazing stay at this property! The home was spotless, well-equipped, and exactly as described in the listing. The host was incredibly responsive and provided great local recommendations. Paradise on Earth

This beautiful vacation house has absolutely everything! From the cozy warm beds, to the refreshing lake in the backyard. 😊 The house was big enough to host our party of 20! You don’t need to bring anything! The kitchen, game room, movie Theater room, and kids play room are well equipped. We loved it so much , we plan to make this an annual Visit.

Family Retreat

We rented this beautiful lake house for a weekend family retreat to celebrate our matriarch’s 75th birthday, and it was an unforgettable experience! Spectacular home for large groups

This home is amazing. We had multiple generations from ages 1 to 75 and everyone had a great time. With the multiple living spaces and activities this home provided there was something for everyone to do. Best family vacation ever.

Family reunion

House was perfect for our family reunion of 17. It was just as advertised. Lots of activities to keep the teenagers occupied. Loved the outdoor spaces. House was clean. Check in and check out was super easy. Had a few questions while we were there which were answered promptly.

Great place to stay

The house was beautiful great location. The windows on the outside were covered with Spider webs and the deck furniture were covered with ants. Other than that, it was a great place to stay and would go back there in the future.
