The views are to die for at this cottage! Just walk out onto the deck to relax read a book grill out or enjoy the views and sounds of nature! This house makes you feel at home but yet is centrally located to enjoy Fishing in South Toe river, Golfing on Mt. Mitchell Golf course, Hiking on the many hiking trails to and around Mt. Mitchell the tallest Mountain east of the Mississippi. You can tube swim or just hang out at numerous river entrances. Explore the night sky with our telescope provided on clear night sky filled with stars. Explore small towns of Burnsville or Spruce pine to mention a few. Visit the craft shops junking in town or mineral digging at provided water holes.
Visit the Biltmore Estates,Drive the Blue Ridge parkway and stop at Little Switzerland for lunch.
If that is not enough to keep you busy explore Linville Canverns , Linville Falls or Grandfather mountain just to name a few!
If all else fails just retreat back to Home base K&J Cottage and veg in front of the Fireplace or sneak a mid day nap! We provide a three ring binder to all the attractions, Trail Heads and events in around Mt. Mitchell.
