Was ok…

Decent location, close to the beach. But the condo smelled musty, had some interesting bugs (cockroaches maybe), and we couldn’t adjust the dates once booked. The rooftop terrace was nice but we didn’t use it much. Not sure it was worth the extra money. You could see the SpaceX launch site from the room, which was nice.

The condo is very spacious, clean and furnished with multiple necessities! Chairs, stools, rockers, loungers and tables were plentiful on the bonus Terrace with such amazing views! The main balcony is quite small, but sufficient. The TVs had a lot of channels; which we couldn't figure out, but we weren't there to watch tv. Washer & Dryer were another bonus!SpaceX and Customs & Border Protection Surveillance Blimp views were awesome. We had only one concern and that was the water. We had no water a few times throughout our week. Although, short lived, it was an inconvenience. First maintenance guy couldn't speak English. Second gent explained that the building just received 3 new pumps, so air was working it's way thru the system. It happened a few more times during our stay.... we opted not to call for maintenance as we didn't want to deal with such on our vacation. We believe this is a building issue and not the Owner's. Loved the Tropical Decor!

The condo was very clean and the penthouse patio was really great. We spent a lot of time up there. We’d definitely book it again you just may want to be aware that we could never get the condo to cool down lower than 75 at night which was a bummer for the guys in our group. There are ceiling fans so it may not be a bid deal to most. The living room furniture is a bit patio like and there’s no pantry space but overall we had a good time and we would come back.

Great spot in Padre

Overall, had a fantastic time at this condo. Bedrooms were very spacious and view is amazing. Especially loved the rooftop patio - best view in all of Padre IMO. Great access to the beach and overall property was very clean. The complex is a little dated but that’s not much different than most condos in South Padre. Check in process is off-site, which is kind of a pain with padre traffic but not huge deal. Also, beware of the angry maintenance man😂 - accused me of jumping the fence to pool one morning after I entered normally thru gate. Didn’t let it ruin our time though.

Thank you so much for reviewing our condo, Drew! We're so glad you had a great vacation. The maintenance man, we're sorry that happened. They are very serious about security at Saida, but we'll pass on they may have gone a little overboard on this one. Thank you for having a great sense of humor regarding it all. I’ve been staying at this particular resort for the past 40 years. We decided to get a penthouse this time and not go through the actively resort themselves. Huge mistake. First day the room was unbearably hot. I called the service company at around 7pm and didn’t get anyone to come out until 1130am the next day. We ended up getting 2 hotel rooms elsewhere for the night since the room was hot and muggy. Next day we were told that these are older ac units and they take a long time to cool. Thermostat was literally at 77 for over 7 hours and didn’t change till we got back in the morning. Water pressure was horrible and that’s whenever we did have water. We had other family members staying in a different floor and they had 0 issues with water. I have videos of us losing water and sputtering every single day of our trip. Not to mention cockroaches in the bathroom and worse than that some black ugly gunk on the secondary bathrooms walls. Pretty damn disgusting. Last day it rained heavy and water got inside through one of the window seals as we were getting ready to check out and flooded a portion of the dining room area. Over all we would never get this room again or recommend it to anyone. We will come back to the property but will rent from them directly. This room was not cheap and it definitely was one of our worst experiences.

Quiet and peaceful

The property was convenient to beach access and all the surroundings. The balcony had beautiful views and a great relaxation for the family. There were a couple of things that needed to be fixed once we checked in. The light in the restroom, a board on the balcony was broken and the fan in the living room wasn't working. It just took a call to the property management for maintenance to come and check on what needed to be repaired. The main downfall was only having access to one parking pass for 2 vehicles after I had called to have a second one reserved. Otherwise we had a great stay and would recommend it.

Door code apon arrival was incorrect. Left over soap in second bathroom shower, threw it away and went to wash hands but sink completely clogged. No laundry service on site. I have never in my life stayed somewhere that you had to drive a mile away to get fresh towels, sheets and toiletries. Even if they left laundry tabs, washer was rusted out and unusable. Picture on-line was a different kitchen all together. Both showers are disgusting and need to be re-caulked. We understand that places on the ocean take a lot of abuse from the salt air, but we have one on the Oregon coast and take care of the upkeep. I'm very very disappointed.

Great location and view

The condo was comfortable with great views of the beach and the bay and the tropical storm that came through. The kitchen was updated except for the stackable washer and dryer which was loud- especially the dryer and we always had to dry everything twice to get it dry. The showers were in need of updating as they had rust and should have a glass door instead of curtains. We stayed three weeks but only had cleaning and shower products for a week as well as not enough toilet paper or paper towels for our stay- which we bought ourselves. When renting, we thought the large porch was attached to the living area where it would be convenient but it’s actually a very small balcony porch and the large porch is up a steep. Light of stairs and inconvenient. The towel/ linen exchange guy was very friendly and accommodating.

Great place to stay when visiting SpaceX (or the beach)

The large private rooftop deck can't be beat, with views of the ocean and across to both SpaceX facilities. Views from the balcony off the living room are also fabulous. I can't think of a better place to watch a SpaceX launch once they are happening. Beach access is nice and easy, and the heated pool was warm. We were a group of four -- parent, grandparent, and 11 and 14 year old. The unit was very comfortable for us even without using the pull-out bed. The building is old, and that shows in some places in the unit. But the unit was very clean. The lobby looked a little sketchy when we came in at night, but during the day it felt better. Check-in is a mile up the road, which isn't bad if you know what to expect. It's easier and simpler than some of the VRBO check-in experiences I've had. The unit is highly decorated, and from the pictures it looked like too much. In person I actually enjoyed it. In conclusion, it's a fabulous place and I'm definitely going to try to stay there again.
