Location was right on the beach and walking proximity to several restaurants. We really enjoyed the onsite bar/food offerings at the pool. Recommendations of owner for places to dine were excellent. Very enjoyable stay during our first trip to this area.

There were a few minor things that needed to be fixed. They were notified and responded quickly. The location is fantastic. The pool is huge which allows each family to have a section to themselves. The water was beautiful, warm, and the beach was clean.

Nice and comfy

Close access to beach,pools and tennis courts. The accommodation was clean and well kept. We had the view of the ocean right crim our balcony on thetenth floor.

Great location, nice beach. Secure parking. Adequately furnished. Unit starting to look a little dated but very reasonably priced. Value for money. No beach chairs or umbrellas, bring your own or rent. Several newly surfaced tennis courts.

Very nice, and decorated in a beach theme. Loved it! At 10 stories up, the highlight is the gorgeous view of the beach and that pristine sand and water we have come to love over the years. South Padre is our family’s happy place! Always ready to return.

Family Fun

We had a fun time. The condo was a great fit for our family. We did some cooking to save on eating out every meal. The electric grill was rusted out which we would have used. We were bummed that we did not know to bring our own beach towels. There were not enough pickle ball and bean bags to check out to play with our family. Some of the amenities could use a touch up. Overall, the weather was nice and we enjoyed our stay.

The second bathroom's tiolet has a leak. No mention of the washing situation (washer and dryer not in unit, but is in complex. Only takes quarters and no change machine). Couch bed is pitiful. No selection of games. Stove not fully functional. No extra towels or bedding. Was advised to not touch thermostat. No updated appliances. Dirty dishes

Clean and comfortable

Cutely decorated and the master bed was very comfortable. Second bedroom bed was more like a child's bunk bed and too short for our adult son. The kitchen already had all the dishes and utensils and we appreciated the soap, trash bag, etc. starter supply kit. Our only complaint was the bedroom windows were frozen closed and the master bedroom bathroom outlet didn't work. Otherwise we really enjoyed the condo! 👍

Needs some TLC

The room was nice but needs some attention. As mentioned in other reviews there is a non-functional rustec grill taking up space on the deck. The door knob to the deck was rusted shut, we had to oil it. For travelers who are flying in it would be nice to have beach chairs, toys etc. The day we left the elevators we not working, we were on the 10th floor. The room was well equipped with everything you needed to prepare your own food. Could have used more towels just enough for each person to have one for the entire week. Check in process worked well and it was very secure with locked gates at all entrances.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed ourselves, but the condo needs some work. Many of the electrical outlets do not work and a tile in the secondary bathroom shower was broken. One of the elevators was broken our entire stay and one was broken for several hours making it impossible to get to the condo for hours as I had my mother and young niece so ten flights of stairs was not possible.

Thank you for your review, I wish you would have called. Many of the outlets are tied to a light switch. It is great for lights, but not great if you plug something in it. I am sorry about the elevators. It is rare that both go down at the same time.

Reviewer Comments: We were without water for three separate days and one of the two elevators was down 9 of the 12 days of my visit. When I called the rental agency, I was told to call the guard shack. When I called them, I was told they didn't know, but would call me back and they did. It just seemed like no one knew what was going one or it was out of everyone's control.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Management company sounded great on the phone but unfortunately they don’t work weekends. We where without water in one of the bathrooms and the after hours numbers we got told us they could not get someone out there till Monday. (My checkout day). When we arrive the cleaning ladies where still there and didn’t finish till 5pm. Great views and all but the no shower really made things hard and a large family.

Thank you for staying with is. There was a little button on the side of the shower head that had been pushed off. Arrival is normally 4pm, but you had booked the night before arrival. There were many cleanings already scheduled that day for quick turns, meaning someone checks in the same day someone checks out. Because housekeeping had already been scheduled for that day, we advised you that yours would be last. I am sorry for the inconvenience. You still had the use of both bathrooms during your stay.

Beautiful view, but needs work

The good: This place has a beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony & of the bay from the walkway used to enter the room. This has to be one of the best locations on the island for view and general access in and out of the resort. 3 pools and 4 hot tubs where nice options. Beach was the light powdery sand which we loved. Room was perfect for sleeping arrangements for our family of 5. The bad: Room was not very clean. The general area was, but definitely some grime in the corners and so forth. Multiple outlets did not work properly. Some only one receptacle worked. Ceiling in master bathroom was pealing and bubbling. Kitchen supplies could use a little improvements, owner should consider getting some Tupperware and cooking supplies. Bedding was bare minimum, owner should consider getting a few extra blankets. One of the resort hot tubs was out of order. Only one of the 3 pools was heated. We had a great time in SPI. IMO, this place has a ton of potential. Owner should do some minor repairs, a good deep cleaning & provided a little more supplies (kitchen & bedding).

Some amenities are dated and need some attention. The the laundry facilities had problems with jamming so you couldn’t insert the money to use them. Response was pretty good..
