The condo was very clean, comfortable & beautifully appointed for our family of five. We had plenty of room to spread out & enjoyed relaxing on the lanai after a day at the beach. It had many amenities, including a cute little coffee bar, modern washer, dryer & the AC worked great! To find everything we needed for the beach, including boogie boards, chairs, an umbrella, snorkels & fins, made our stay here even more delightful! Situated right across the street from the magical Magic Sands beach, makes this location a winner!

Home for the weekend3

Thank you for opening up your space to my family and allowing up to call this gem home for the long weekend! When we arrived my family and I had so much fun exploring and finding all the amenities around the home-- all ohhs, ahhs, and awws. We had breakfast outside on the patio and dinner as a family around the dining room table. The cleaners have a great eye for detail; the home was very tidy when we arrived, looked just like the photos. Thank you for the memories!

Perfect family condo

Very Clean, right across from a gorgeous beach, easy parking spot, comfy beds, VERY well stocked condo, can’t say enough at how great this place was. Perfect for our family of four and all the additional amenities (stocked kitchen, beach toys, beach chairs, umbrella, etc) were sooo awesome to have available. Will definitely stay here again! Excellent location and lots of amenities!

We had a great stay at Mike/Cher’s condo! Tons of space for our family and this place has everything you need! We liked having 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for our longer stay. The pool and bbq area was a great way to end the day with the family. There’s a dedicated parking spot that’s covered so it’s good to keep the car in the shade during the day. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything to cook and there was plenty of counter space to prep. The A/C worked great in the hot summer months and the washer dryer in unit was very convenient. We would definitely stay here again!

The location is quite lovely; With white sand beach across the street. Walmart for shopping is minutes away. The guest binder has so much information in it and was quite valuable. It’s a first floor unit with parking under the building at ground level. There are stairs to first floor. The grounds are beautiful and there a pool/hot tub with loungers. It never felt crowded. The unit was beyond my expectations for items available for use. Kitchen spices, provisions and gadgets. There is an entire closet full of beach gear to use as well. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of linens and bonus washer and dryer for use. That part alone was fantastic! Thank you for a comfortable and safe home base as we explored this beautiful island!

Great Property, no onsite support

This is a great property, the master bedroom and en-suite bathroom is great (the shower head doesn’t work as of Sept 2023). The washer/drier is top shelf and needs to have the filter cleaned (will leave everything smelling like mold). The kitchen appliances are all new or new-ish. The location is perfect and even has covered assigned parking! It is obvious that the owners like this property and probably stay there on occasion because of the upgrades in the master suite. The guest bedroom has two twins that are uncomfortable but ok for kids. The sliding doors to the spacious lanai has locks that are broken and will lock you out, so be cautious when shutting the doors. But definitely go out there because it’s amazing. Overall, I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Great Location! Poor communication

We had terrible communication with the with host. We did not receive check in information despite calls, texts, and emails. Thankfully VRBO was able to get ahold of them after we landed to connect us with the host to get the door code information. We arrived and the condo had not been cleaned all the laundry was sitting in the bathroom and the beds were not made. The last thing we wanted to do after a long stressful day is make the beds. I messaged the host and did receive a reply saying sorry however no cleaners ever came. No offer to compensate us for having to make our own beds and clean the condo. This place is wonderful and has everything you need. Very family friendly. I just wish that we had a better check in experience or at least compensated a little a bit for the inconvenience we experienced upon arrival.

Condo Not Clean Upon Arrival

We arrived at the condo around midnight and upon opening the door and turning on the lights, the placed was NOT cleaned! Beddings and towels were not washed, dirty dishes left on the sink and trash scattered on the kitchen floor and carpet. Found cigarette butts and joints! I immediately emailed the property owner but have not heard from him. We cleaned the placed to about 3 am. Thank God for the large capacity washer and dryer! I contacted the cleaning lady the following morning and she apologized. She explained what had happened and we understood. She came in the afternoon and did more cleaning. We still have not heard from the property owner. It appears some renovations were done. The sliding doors to the balcony needed repairs. Both were difficult to open. We did not let this incident dampen our vacation. Great location and Magic Sands Beach Park is across the street. Great place for body boarding and surfing.

Lots of Space Inside and Out!

My family, husband, 9 year old son and myself spent 10 days over spring break in this lovely condo. Mike was great to work with and answered all my questions prior to booking, travel and when we were there. When my family travels we 99% of the time to vacation rentals, as a result I am pretty picky about where we stay. Things that Stand Out: - Great AC - Kitchen was well stocked and I loved the labeling of where things needed to be put back. - The patio was wonderful and had several places to sit, I was able to do my morning yoga to the sound of the birds. -Beds were really good -Washer and Dryer were a life saver -The location was really nice 3 to 5 min walk to Magic Sands Beach. -HIBIKE bike docking station was 5 minutes walk. This was a huge plus for me. -5 to 8 minute Drive to a shopping center. -Nice Pool and Quiet Complex Nice Parking Spot -Great shared Gas BBQ Things I wish I had really thought about or known before we booked. It wouldn't have changed anything. -Magic Sands Beach looses a most of its sand in the winter and has to build up. We rented for my son to be with in walking distance of boogie boarding. Summer this would have been amazing for our family. -Stairs for this unit is one flight up and the elevator requires you to use stairs. This was not a problem for us, but my husband commented a couple time if one of us had mobility issues it could have been a challenge. -The condo was clean over all, there were a couple of things that needed a bit more attention. But they were minor and wouldn't have stopped our family from staying. But there are always a couple of things aren't there any place you stay. -It is about a 15 to 20 minute into town. It was a lovely stay and we would stay in this condo again with out a problem.

Great location and family set up

We had a great stay and we were very pleased with the two bedroom two bathroom set up. The condo is quite large with lots of space for everyone. AC, wifi, all plumbing works very well. The pool and bbq facilities are excellent. The beach across the street is called Magic Sands because sometimes there is sand and sometimes there isn’t. We managed to find many other lovely beaches to enjoy as the sand was “out” at Magic Sand beach when we stayed. Magics restaurant across the street is excellent! We explored the entire island from this location. I have already recommended this condo to people!

Awesome vacation

This VRBO was in an incredible location. One beach was across the street with others nearby. Town was close with stores conveniently located. The place was clean and well equipped. The amount of room was just right for our two adult daughters, my husband and I. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub for a change from the ocean. The owner was quick to respond to an issue. We recommend this vacation rental.

Best location next to the beach.

Everything was great. We borrowed the chairs and umbrella for the beach and made good use of the coffee maker. Would definitely stay there again, hopefully soon!

Outstanding Property

Lovely condo across from Magic Sands Beach. Two bedroom, two bath with a well equipped kitchen. Pool was beautiful and the grounds were beautiful. One of the nicest places I've every stayed in Kona.

Condo was in a great location for a morning swim in the ocean. Pool was lovely . Great plumeria right next to lanai. Condo was well stocked although short in garbage bags and batteries in garbage can and remotes are dead, and no new ones in drawer. Lots of beach toys and snorkel gear. Convenient location. Had a lot of fun. Would recommend to others.

Any covered lanai

Loved the location, space, and the many great amenities! There was ample space for all 4 of us. The pool and proximity to the beach were fabulous. HOWEVER, there was a huge ant infestation on the lanai. I contacted the owner each day for help as there were literally thousands of ants out there (I have photos and video evidence). This rendered that space completely unusable the duration of our time there. We just prayed they didn’t let themselves inside. There was only one reply from the owner. All others went ignored.

Fun times at the beach

My family and I had a fantastic week at Mike & Cher’s. Lots of towels, a closet of beach things, a stocked pantry, proximity to shopping and most of all, Magic Sands Beach across the street where we saw sea turtles every day. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly!

Valdez Ohana Vacation 2022

Best condo we have ever stayed in, inthe past ten years. Hosts were easy to get ahold of. Cleanliness was extraordinary. Family loved proximity to beaches, and drive to downtown. We will return!

With two locations in Kailua Kona and in Waikoloa, we have dedicated specialists in guest services managing reservations, maintenance, and property checks alongside our accounting, support, and marketing specialists.
