Welcome to Unit 1 at Black Mountain Lodge, a charming property with five private units, each with its own entrance. Your door is centered on the front porch and is accessed by a set of steps.

Inside, the bright and inviting 540-square-foot suite combines the living and sleeping areas and includes a private bathroom, warm hardwood floors, and a dramatic stone fireplace with a gas heater on the hearth.

The fully stocked kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, along with a drip coffee maker.

Enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi and a smart TV for streaming with your own subscriptions.

One bed accommodates up to two guests; there is no sleeper sofa, and fire zoning regulations do not allow cots or air mattresses.

Because the home is more than 100 years old and surrounded by mature trees, insects may occasionally find their way indoors.

Pets are welcome. If you bring one, please be considerate of other guests in the building. Dogs that bark excessively or disturb other guests cannot be accommodated. All dogs must be crated whenever left unattended and kept on a leash outdoors. Thank you for keeping your pet with you and under control at all times.

For everyone’s comfort, this is a non-smoking, non-vaping property. Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere inside or outside the property.

Please note that we do not have a front desk or concierge, so your stay will require a little self-sufficiency. We’re happy to help with questions or concerns during reasonable hours, but we are not a corporation and do not have staff available 24 hours a day.

Self check-in is available anytime after 4:00 p.m. You may check out anytime before 10:00 a.m. on your departure day.

This is a very old home with gas furnaces for heat and window air-conditioning units. Because it is a shared building, you may occasionally hear neighboring guests.
