We had a fantastic stay! The host was wonderful, with excellent communication and a quick response whenever we needed anything. The host went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had a great experience. The pool was fantastic, the view was amazing, and everything about our stay was perfect. We truly appreciated the host’s hospitality and would absolutely recommend staying here!

Gorgeous location with ocean views and easy access for a Senior in our group with mobility issues. The condo had everything we needed. Terry was very responsive to a few questions. Would come here again. Highly recommend.

The condo was fabulous. Perfect spot for watching the sunsets and enjoying some quiet time. The grounds were very clean and my kids loved the pool! Terry was very responsive and great to work with. Woukd absolutely stay here again!

We visited during Christmas break, had a great experience. room was comfortable/clean, steps away from ocean, great amenities, close to shopping/food/market.

Perfect Kona stay

This location was perfect for our family of four. Wonderful location just south of Kailua-Kona. Walking distance to one of the best snorkeling spots on the island. Will be returning to this rental for all of my stays on the Kona side!

Comfortable condo

Condo was comfortable and well-appointed both inside and out, including beach and snorkel gear. The lanai was a great place to relax and watch incredible sunsets and activity on the ocean. The location was convenient, with grocery stores and shopping nearby. We enjoyed our stay here.

Big Island Perfection

This property was immaculate and well appointed with an abundance of thoughtful touches. Terry promptly answered all questions I had (no issues during our stay). Would absolutely stay here again next time we visit Hawai’i!

Spring break 2024

Terry's unit was beautiful and equipped with everything you could need. Our stay was perfect and communication with Terry was effortless. Highly recommend this location.

Amazing Stay

We loved our week at Hilo Shangrila! The view alone is worth 10 stars. It was so relaxing to sit outside whether drinking coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening watching and listening to the waves crash upon the lava. The home is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Everything we needed was stocked in the kitchen. The neighborhood is extremely quiet. We would absolutely stay there again!!

Nice stay by the Ocean

We really enjoyed the ocean view and seeing whales and great sunsets everyday. There is however an embankment right in front of the lanai, that hinders the direct line of sight of the ocean view when sitting on the lounge chairs. We also liked the size of the unit and the kitchen was well equipped. The only thing missing was a good frying pan. The owner is very thoughtful when it comes to supplying an abundance of the everyday essential items. Soaps and and shampoos are also in good supply. We also appreciated the welcome basket of local island “goodies”. The major down side of this property is that it is a ground floor unit and the noise coming from the upstairs unit from the tenants walking around was quite annoying especially at 6:45 in the morning. Basically, there appears to be no sound insulation between the units and footsteps are very loud. Another thing to consider is that the traffic to get to Costco, Walmart or Safeway is very heavy every day. Took almost 35 minutes to go 5 miles. The last thing is that there are very limited beaches in the area that you can get any kind of a decent walk on.

Aloha Roy, Thank you for bringing these issues to my attention. Even though you have already checked out I reached out to the management company of the unit above me to check into the noise situation.They are super responsive to noise issues! There is a private beach next to the Surf and Racquet Club for an unobstructed ocean view, but it can be challenging to find unless someone shows it to you. I will add some instructions into the Welcome packet so that guests can find it easily. I have to agree with you that the traffic delays have been very bad recently. There has been road construction and the amount of time to get to Costco, Walmart and Safeway is long right now for my husband and I too. I am hoping that when the road construction clears up, the traffic delays will clear up. There are some great walking beaches nearby- Kahuluu beaches is a 10 minute walk and White Sands is 1.6 miles away I will add these to the Welcome packet as well. Mahalo, Terry

This was an amazing property. We had everything we could need and more. Kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms were extremely comfortable. Got up early every morning to sit on the lanai and enjoy coffee and the sounds of nature. Hostess goes out of her way to supply beach towels, chairs and many more extras. Very helpful when you are limited with luggage.Every day I would say, let's go home, because that's what it felt like.Mahalo!
