Boasting soaring high ceilings and an expansive architectural design, the Upper Level of Mandavilla is a majestic hillside retreat designed to capture the best panoramic views and refreshing trade winds in Cruz Bay.

While both our villas offer luxury, guests choose the Upper Level for its sense of scale and premier outdoor space:

Work with a View: Stay connected with high-speed Starlink Internet, perfect for streaming or taking video calls with the Caribbean Sea as your backdrop.

VIP Arrival & Support
We take the stress out of island travel. We coordinate a complimentary ferry greeter to meet you at the dock and guide you (or your Jeep) to the villa. Plus, our on-island manager can assist with pre-arrival grocery stocking so your vacation starts the moment you land.

Beautiful place.....views were Amazing! Beds were comfy, had all the amenties you could ask for, and location was outstanding. We had a great time and would highly recommend a stay!

Amazing views!

The views from the balcony over Cruz Bay and St. Thomas were incredible! Property was clean and had everything we needed for a great vacation. Close to grocery store and restaurants. Highly recommend!

Family Vacay

The view and outdoor living space were amazing! Furniture and decor were nice and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Great location...easy ride into Cruz Bay and about 15-20 to some of the best beaches I've ever been to (Maho, Trunk, Cinnamon). Loved it and would go back in a heartbeat!

Amazing and mesmerizing

The property is beautiful. Enjoyed everything about the property it was very clean and everything you needed for cooking, going to beach and pool during our stay. The view off the balcony was breath taking.

Perfect stay in St John

This property exceeded expectations both in terms of location as well as in the quality of the villa itself. The views are phenomenal, and having two suites with king beds was great for our group of two couples. Also, being just a few minutes from Cruz bay allowed us easy access to some good restaurants (Morgan’s Mango and High Tide), as well as the ferry landing. I would say having a car is essential, as the walk up and down the hill to town isn’t very fun, but we had a car so it was a non-issue. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We recently stayed in the upper unit of Mandavilla with a group of four adults. While the property has potential with incredible views and nice overall amenities, several issues significantly impacted our stay.One of the bathrooms had no hot water. Although the maintenance team was responsive, it still took four days to resolve the problem. During that time, repair tools were left throughout the bathroom when workers were not present, and the light fixture had been removed for wiring related to a new water pump. This made the space unusable and required us to adjust our plans for several days to allow everyone time to get ready.We also experienced a power outage one evening. We specifically chose Mandavilla because it was advertised as having a functioning generator, but we later learned the generator had been out of service for some time—information that was never communicated to us.In addition to these issues, several aspects of the property were in poor condition. The grill had seen better days, and the deck boards surrounding the pool were hazardous, with rotting wood and exposed nails.I attempted to address these concerns with the owner, but she was not receptive and stated, “That’s just the way it is in St. John.” Based on our experience, I would not recommend this property.

The property was very nice with a GREAT view!! My family enjoyed the pool too. Emily and Matthew was on top of anything that we needed and that was very much appreciated!! Also Luce was GREAT!!

Birthday Getaway

I planned this getaway to celebrate my Birthday with my husband, my best friend and her husband. The house was absolutely perfect for us...with a bedroom on one side and the other side and the living area in between. We spent the majority of our time, while not out sight seeing or on excursions, either in the pool or out on the lanai. And the view of Cruz Bay was just the icing on my Birthday Cake!!

Nice quaint ocean front house

The view. The view. The view. We didn’t most of our time sitting outside on the patio enjoying the sound of the ocean waves. The house was nice - 3 bedrooms & 3 full bathrooms. We used the washer and dryer. Very clean. Incredibly pleasant stay.

Great Views & ease of access to Cruz Bay

We were abolutely blown away with the view and openness of the property. It was extremely quite outside of construction work across the mountain (not the fault of the property). Everyone was extremely quick to communicate if there was an issue, with the only issue was I couldn't figure out how to connect the bluetooth speaker! AC and fans in the each bedroom worked great and made the night enjoyable. Extremely easy to navigate through the island and great location. I would recommend a car just because it is so easy, however you could walk to town as it's a quick straight shot.We will be back.

Relaxing Retreat

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at the Mandavilla property. Everything was clean and ready when we arrived. The pool was so inviting and we used it every day & some evenings. They balcony was was amazing! We spent so much time and there was so much fan cooled area to enjoy. Wait, did I forget to mention the views? They were stunning. We wished we'd brought our adult son and his girlfriend and will be looking to do so when we can in the future. Thanks for the hospitality!

Mandavilla is a magical spot!

We really enjoyed our stay at Mandavilla Inspired. The home is nicely appointed and the deck and view is to die for. Emily and Matthew were very accommodating and the little things such as picking up provisions were very helpful . We enjoyed our evenings and mornings on the deck enjoying the views and time together. The pool is also quite large for St. John and plenty of chairs and floats for all. Location is great too, quick drive to Cruz Bay and the North Shore Beaches. They mention in the listing that it's walkable to town. This is not really accurate. My husband and I and our three boys are quite fit but did not feel safe walking the steep, narrow hill at night. Just did seem very realistic to us. Only other complaint was that the pull out was quite uncomfortable. Our third son opted to sleep on it not pulled out, which was fine for him. However, if we had 6 people that might have been a problem. An egg crate or something similar might alleviate that issue. Truly though it's a wonderful spot and we really enjoyed the home.

Thank you for your notes Jacqueline. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay! We hope you come back again soon. Side note - the pull out sofa has a new thick pillow top mattress, pillows and linens. It is the most comfortable we could make a pull out sofa. Agreed with you on the walk. The lack of street lights and sidewalks in St John make walking anywhere at night challenging. My family walks the hill every night. It is often our best moments/conversations. The steep hills are always a good views & work outs. We do try to describe this as best as we can. But you never can properly describe it till you experience it! Thank you again - and hope to host you again soon.
