Great Beach Condo

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed our stay in this condo. It is exactly as it appears, updated, clean, and comfortable decor. We had five adults which required one to sleep on the pull out couch. They found just sleeping on the couch more comfortable than sleeping on the couch mattress. It is a 300ish step walk to the beach, just a short walk across the street. There were always beach chairs available by the beach to use. The people in the office were helpful when we had any questions. Our only problem with the condo, was the ability to make phone calls. We were able to text fine, but had no phone service while in the condo. It wasn't great anywhere on condo property. It was initially frustrating but we got used to it and had no problems because of it. Sanibel does not have much night life, and most places closed at 8p. We enjoyed a few meals at Dante's which is a block from the condo. Our favorite meal was at Doc Ford's in Sanibel.Remember to bring salt and pepper, which is not provided.

It was great to have some space to ourselves when we wanted it, and the care and attention that everyone at Sanibel Moorings put into making sure we were happy was amazing. VERY clean, well taken care of and easy to function in. I could not recommend it more.

Wonderful vacation rental

We loved our stay at Sanibel Moorings! The unit itself was immaculate and well stocked. The kitchen has everything you need to cook at home but does lack spices/other convenience items like Tupperware, ziploc bags, aluminum foil or a sponge which we have found at other rentals. Not an issue but it’s helpful to know as the easiest thing to do is shop before you cross into Sanibel and we weren’t prepared with some of these things causing some additional trips out. The resort itself is amazing with plenty to do and the unit was walkable to everything the resort offers. It was amazing that they would set up beach chairs and umbrellas for you on the beach every day. If you are flying and pressed for space, the resort rents beach towels for $5 each as well. There were only two negatives we found: 1- being a ground floor unit, you can hear the people above you. This was a non-issue during the day since we were typically on the beach but in the evenings and overnight we could hear the toilet flushing(and people using it before that) above us in the master bedroom and it sounded like the water might come through the ceiling it was so loud. While that was annoying, it was not enough to remove a star and we would still stay there again. 2- about 1-2 weeks before our trip I emailed the property manager through the Vrbo app with a few questions to help us pack and plan. After two unanswered emails I decided to call. When I called they didn’t offer any apology for the unanswered email, it appeared they don’t check or acknowledge it- they were extremely helpful over the phone though so again, I wouldn’t reduce the rating but if you have questions I’d suggest calling. Overall it was the perfect location and unit for a family vacation and we are already planning to come back next year.

Great stay!

Great vacation! Very clean well stocked condo. Love the fact that we can sit on the docks by the canal or choose the beach. The only negative is that you are expected to carry your lawn chairs to and from the beach by yourself. Very difficult when your husband has arthritis in his shoulder and a herniated disc.

Enjoyable Visit

Property was as pretty and well-cared for as I expected from the reviews. The resort is in a central location, is lush and has a terrific beach. I particularly appreciate that chairs and umbrellas are set up on the beach each morning. The only slightly disappointing feature is that the patio faced the parking lot.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our second trip to Sanibel this year staying in 1321. We really love this condo. We cook most nights while we are in town and I've always had everything we need. The furniture and beds are really comfortable. I would recommend bringing a couple of throws in case you get cool at night or while watching tv as there aren't any in the condo. We really enjoy staying here as the location is great...Jerry's (grocery) is just right down the road on the right, The bait box is a great bait shop just down the road on the left. If you're in Fort Myers Beach, I really recommend the Dixie Fish Company. We also had great luck this time with Catching Jiants fishing charter, captain Jordan. We did a half day trip and it was amazing and just a short drive from the condo. If you're able, definitely grab your groceries before you come over to Sanibel at Aldi/Walmart. We love this condo/area and will be back again next October

Amazing stay!

Everything from start to finish was perfect. location was great. Condo was very well stocked. The manager, Bill was very communicative and we didn’t want for anything. Will definitely be staying there again.

Outstanding beach getaway

Wow! What an amazing gem, we could have stayed another 5 days, 5 was not enough. Our unit was gorgeous and had every detail needed to make your stay just perfect. We used the lounge chairs and umbrellas making the beach just as perfect as the rental! Can’t wait to go back!!!

Wonderful Location

This is the second time we have stayed in this condo. Its just perfect for our family. My 3 boys love fishing on the canal, swimming the small pool nearby, and walking over to the beach. Its very quiet and the location of the resort is in the perfect spot on the island. We rode our bikes everywhere on the bike trails. So close to the lighthouse and Gramma Dots restaurant. (our favorite lunch spot! ) They decor of the condo is updated and very comfortable. We just love it and will book the same place next year. The Nelsons

Beautiful condo 2 min walk from the beach

This was such a good experience I paid a deposit for another week this fall so we could come back. Condo is so clean and well decorated. Central location and really quiet. The canal out back is cool too and a great place to sit in the evening. Really great experience.

Sanibel heaven !

My daughter and I flew to Sanibel for a weeks vacation and stayed in this lovely condo. We reserved bikes and bikes everywhere we needed. It’s a short walk to beach and pools. Restaurants and shops were an easy bike ride away on nice bike paths. The condo was clean, modern, and well decorated. The condo community and staff were excellent. We highly recommend this condo!

Walk to the beach at Sanibel Island

The unit was spotless, beautifully decorated and a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed walks on the beach, swimming in the just cool water, hunting for shells and the restaurants at the end of the day. I’d suggest a morning walk to the lighthouse, a boat tour on ‘The Thriller’ and if you like Mexican food ‘400 Rabbits’. I’ll be going back next year. A gem.

Sanibel 2021

Perfectly represented by the online photos. Updated kitchen and bathrooms. Mattress wasn’t wonderful in the king bed, but it didn’t ruin our stay. Short walk to the beach, and lovely dockside sitting areas. We cooked dinner several nights in the well-equipped kitchen and ate on the porch. Would stay here again!

Perfect vacation

We had a wonderful time! Sanibel Moorings is a beautiful resort with nice pools and easy access to the beach. Check in was smooth and easy. Towels delivered to our door. Very courteous staff. Nice, clean property with short walk to beach

Our family enjoyed this clean, nicely decorated first floor condo very much for 5 nights. While it isn't right on the beach the walk to the beach was through the beautiful Sanibel Moorings grounds, and we also enjoyed sitting out back by the docks. I gave it an overall 4 because there weren't any "extras" that we have really appreciated about other places. There are a couple puzzles and some kids DVD"s, but no games. There were no beach toys. There are beach chairs and umbrellas that Sanibel Moorings provides. which was great. The kitchen is adequate but basic. Very clean though! There was enough coffee with filters for one morning. Bring some dishwashing packs as only 3 are provided. Also, don't plan on working out in the workout room. The mold smell was very powerful. The coin laundry room is very close to this unit which was great. It does get locked though at 9 so don't plan on late night laundry! The tennis courts are close and bike rental on property was super easy and we enjoyed biking to the lighthouse and ice cream and shopping.
