Our stay here was so perfect, we highly considered canceling our flight to Oahu and staying here for the rest of our trip. The condo was spacious, clean, and came equipped with all the little things you either can’t pack or didn’t think to pack for the pool and beach. The resort itself is clean, quiet (compared to Honolulu resorts), and the staff were friendly and helpful. The views from the beach were amazing as well. We plan to stay here again when we plan our next trip to Maui.

The room was great. Clean, quiet, and had the basic necessities. We had an issue with the unit and notified the manager. They responded quickly, but couldn’t fix it until after our stay. It didn’t affect our stay so we managed. Overall, we enjoyed staying here.

We had a fantastic stay in this property for our 20th anniversary celebration. The accommodations were even better than described and have us daydreaming about returning as soon as possible. We found the bed to be extremely comfortable and a welcomed destination at the end of our daily adventures in paradise. The kitchen with full range, fridge and dishwasher was great for cooking a few meals during our stay and the rest of the living area was well decorated and comfortable. The expansive views from the huge balcony were nothing short of spectacular, and a favorite spot for enjoying breakfast while watching the sun rise over the west Maui mountains. Exploring the island is a must, although it was hard tearing ourselves away from the spectacular pools, beach and other amenities at the resort itself. You could certainly enjoy your stay without ever leaving the resort but you would miss out on so much that Maui has to offer. We loved having the Kaanapali food truck park within a short walk and honestly enjoyed the food there as much or more than some of the fancier restaurants we visited. Speaking of restaurants, one of our favorites of the week is right there at the property at Duke’s Beach House. Live music by the pool during the day and delicious cocktails from the friendly bartending staff were a highlight. Our only minor complaint is about the parking. There simply are not enough spots available in the garage and surface lots are a long walk away.

Would stay here again!

Beautiful condo with Mountain View’s. It was perfect for our family of 3. My 3 year old loved the pools. Beautiful beach to swim at. Close to Kaanapali. They had sand toys in the unit for our son. Kitchen has everything you need. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Stay! Great resort!

We had an excellent first time to Maui. The resort is beautiful, clean, pools & spas are wonderful & towel service great! The room was clean & as expected from description & pictures. I would change the glass tables (for families with younger kids) & add boogie boards. Loved location to everything. Most within 5-10 mins on that side of island. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing stay at the Honua Kai condominiums! We were in the Mountain View room. It’s a huge condo. 1 bed / 1 bath. Wall to wall glass doors that open all the way up. Wash and dryer were also included with detergent and dryer sheets. Beach chairs, towels, and umbrella were also provided. We got a resort stay without paying a resort fee, parking fee, or beach chair/umbrella rentals. Access to all the pools on the resort and the Nextdoor resort (the outrigger which is the sister resort). Beaches were great. It’s all right by a grocery store, food truck park, and local bars/restaurants. For the price we paid it was truly an unforgettable experience. If we come back to Maui, or have friends that are going, we are recommending this place or one of the condos with a beach view.

Maui Family vacation

There were 13 family members in our group that stayed on 3 different floors of Hanua Kai. My only negative comment was there were no basic kitchen essentials such as salt, pepper or other basic things needed to cook. My other family members kitchens were stocked with these basis essentials needed to cook.

The condo was exactly as advertised. Extremely spacious, comfortable bed, all the amenities needed to cook at home as well as be comfortable down at the beach and beautiful views from the balcony that is much larger than it appears in the pictures. The pools were great and the beach was never crowded and the best snorkeling we did was actually right across the walkway from the resort. I would highly recommend this place for future travels.

An absolute A stay that outperforms major luxury brands! We stayed in a spacious, top-floor condo that truly felt like a home away from home. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything from a dishwasher and coffee maker to all necessary cookware and utensils. Having an in-unit washer and dryer—complete with complimentary detergent pods and dryer sheets—was incredibly convenient. The hosts thought of everything, even providing beach chairs and towels. We loved waking up to spectacular sunrise views every morning and appreciated the secure, underground VIP parking that kept our car cool and out of the sun. The Westin and Hilton definitely have some serious competition here!

We absolutely loved our stay at the unit at the Outrigger. This owner forgot nothing. We had everything we needed! Loved having access to clean pool towels every day in the lobby. I will definitely be back. The bathroom was great with double sinks and a stand up shower. The view on the balcony was good with some ocean view and Mountain View with plenty of rainbow views.

Great property. Honua Kai is great spot to stay on Maui. And the condo itself is very nice. We'll look to stay there again next year!
