Romantic Getaway with a jon boat, Kayaks, and three miles to the beach

This cozy cottage with amazing reading retreat is perfect for the adventurer at heart. Waterfront with 2 kayaks and a small boat with oars (trolling motor and battery for rent). 3 miles to the Beach. We catch flounder, drum, crabs, etc from the backyard. Use the kayak or boat to explore a sand bar or just float around the Marsh. The location is amazing! Steps from the water. Our home is on a busy road so there will be some road noise, we provide sound machines if needed.
We love your furry family as well and would love to accomadate them, there is a 50.00 fee - Per Pet and we do ask that they not be allowed on the comforters.
Small Fishing Cottage, two bedrooms, one bathroom. Great location if you like the water. Once you enter the home and especially the backyard you feel like you are in total peace. All rooms have smart tvs, that have Netflix, Disney, and Hulu already installed and ready to use. Full size kitchen with all the cooking utensils and pans you would have in your own home to cook that family meal or to prepare the fish you catch from the backyard.

The entire home is for your enjoyment.
You only have one neighbor next to you, I own that home as well and it is a short term rental. There is a large 8-9 foot privacy fence that separates the back yards so you won`t even see the neighbors.

If you like the water, or need to relax, then this is the place for you.
Please put Kayaks and paddles away after use and please tie them up.
Please tie the boat back up so it won`t float away at high tide.

The most charming and cozy cottage right on the river with beautiful sunrises! The host communicated frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. The coffee nook was an added bonus. It was in a perfect spot to travel to Emerald Isle or to enjoy downtown Swansboro.

Had a great stay over Thanksgiving. Host was very accomodating. Cottage was very clean upon arrival and was an excellent choice. Will definitely book with this host in the future.

The house was very nice and the price was the best option I found for my family. The host was very understanding of my change of plans due to weather. The house is on a main road and can be noisy but feels very private. Close to food and activities. My husband and I agree we would return again. I also would argue our pup loved it too. Our only complaint was not being able to stay longer.

Great location if you are interested in kayak fishing. For the cost and location, it is definitely good. The interior is a mix, there are some very modern features buts the floor was fairly damaged and there was a slight plumbing issue. Overall, would recommend it if your focus is on fishing or access to the water.

Our vacation

This little cottage was the best stay for our little family of 3. The toys in the house were a perfect addition for our 6 year old. The kayaks were amazing, we used them everyday! We were very sad to leave.

Cozy spot with easy access to water and Swansboro

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this little house on the water. The kayak was a hit with our little ones who also loved to watch the crabs scurry. Swansboro, with cute restaurants and shops, is only minutes down the main road on which the house sits. Would definitely recommend!

Family Vacation

The access to the water and the views were phenomenal. We loved fishing off of the dock and having our morning coffee in the cozy sunroom that overlooked the waters. The host was very attentive and easy to communicate with. He went above and beyond. It was our very first time using VRBO and we will be using this host again for our next family vacation!

Waterfront Cottage

This was a perfect place for me and my dog to stop for a few days on our road trip. It's located right on the sound and I took some amazing sunrise photos. I highly recommend this cottage!

Comfortable and convenient

We enjoyed our stay. The owners were easily accessible for any issues.The back yard area is nice as it is very scenic, peaceful and private (there are neighbors next door, but separated by a high fence). Great place for the dog, and we loved throwing the net out for bait fish.It is convenient to everything.

A cute, tastefully decorated house. The traffic was noisy, but didn't keep us awake. Spent 3 hours out on the kayak.

It was a fun experience to stay in such a unique spot. My teen and I enjoyed the kayaks at sunset. And waking up to that view was lovely. Our hosts had a lot of nice touches with the coffee station, snacks and nice bath products. (And while the location is a little unusual, road traffic wasn’t really too bad with the air conditioning on.) it was really cool to stay right on the water in a former fishing cabin, while still being easily able to explore Swansboro, Cedar Point and Emerald Isle.

Cottage was realy cute and clean .. beds were comfy .. only problem was getting boats in and out you get covered in mud .. and grill was rusted out ..
