Keystone features three mountains and more, so no matter what your skill level is, there are over 120 trails and 20 lifts to take you from casual skiing to challenging terrains set up to compliment your abilities. Plus cat skiing is available to access the snow above the lifts. Keystone also boasts one of the most exciting opportunities for night skiing available in Colorado. Beyond the world class ski and snowboard adventures, Keystone offers the largest selection of outdoor activities that include ice skating, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, tubing, snowmobiling and scenic gondola or horse-drawn carriage rides. Alpine, cross-country & snowboard equipment; skates, snowshoe rentals are available; as well as lessons and lift tickets within River Run. And that just describes the winter; summer offers a whole new set of activities to enjoy.
We came here to ski, so staying near the gondola and village center and not in Dillon, Silverthorne or Frisco where you have to get in your car to go skiing seems silly. Forget about the car and enjoy being surrounded by Keystone. If you like variety, there are free shuttle buses to Arapaho Basin, Breckenridge and other parts of Keystone resort. We are centrally located for all types of skiing, tubing, hiking, mountain biking and biking, white-water rafting and sailing or boating on Lake Dillon.
For our summer guests that like to hike and bike, the scenic riverside bike path leading to Dillon, Frisco, Breckenridge, Vail and beyond, begins right outside our door. For those more inclined to start out uphill, we are just off the highway at the base of Loveland Pass or the less steep Montezuma Road. You will find mountain bike rentals within River Run. For summertime hikes and runs we like to go up the snowcat roads on Keystone Mountain for sunset and then ride the gondola back down or hike back. Enjoy the two beautiful golf courses just down the road. Horseback riding is available in Keystone at Soda Creek Stables.
