Amazing response time. Property was nice. Only thing I would suggest is putting a TV in the 3rd BR and maybe upgrading the mattresses. They are thin and we could feel the coils. Other than that would definitely stay again. Thanks!

Very Nice

The home was very clean and the neighborhood was quiet. Great location to downtown and loved Spanky’s and Dutch Brothers coffee.

I wasn’t informed until the day I was checking in that they were treating for bugs, so the roaches were unexpected. I let the landlord know that the refrigerator icemaker and water dispenser were not working and he disagreed with me. He said that he had just checked them the night before and then he knew that one of them was working. I let him know that I would double check if he wanted and let him know. But that there was a bag of ice in the freezer, which indicated to me the last person knew that the ice maker was not working. The air-conditioning was required to be set no less than 74. Being set at that temperature it could not keep up with the Texas heat and it was extremely hot and uncomfortable in the house. The sofa and beds were very uncomfortable. The house was very dated and poorly maintained for the amount that is charged.

Easy access to everything

It was very easy to get everywhere we needed to go. The pool was lovely. The beds could have been more comfortable (maybe needs a mattress topper?) and there were some deferred maintenance items around the property that need attention (water damage in the ceiling of one of the bathrooms, debris around the back yard, sagging soffit, old trailer left in the carport). That said, this place was clean, had good a/c and wifi and plenty of space. We may book it again next time we are in town

Price aligns with what you get

Overall, it was good. The owner was easy to work with and very responsive. We didn't experience an issue during our stay. The rental is in a quiet part of a neighborhood that is "rough" in my personal opinion. While we did not experience anything negative, there are locked bars on all of the windows and the surrounding stores/right down the street area does not feel very safe at all. The main drawbacks are listed here: lack of furniture and kitchen dishes (i.e. side table in bedroom, not that many glasses or overall dishware). In the hottest part of the September heat, the house would barely stay cool and the bedroom in the back of the home was so hot; basically unable to sleep in it (our opinion). The bathroom in that room has no air either and it also doesn't have outlets to for blow dryers, etc. Also, the towels need to be replaced. Most of them were filled with rips/holes, especially washcloths. These types of things go a long way in a rental. Overall, it worked for our stay but these are simply things I would make other renters aware of.

The place & location was good. The pool was great! Host got back to me immediately! Pool towels needed. Propane bbq would be way easier than charcoal for guests and cleaners. No lighter until dropped off the next day. Coffee filters would be nice for short stays like ours. Air conditioning was good but could be better in bedrooms. Ceiling fans helped. Place needs some TLC, minor repairs and some small updates would make it a lot nicer. Overall we enjoyed the place, Houston, FIFA, Space Center and took on an Astros ball game.
