Real Escapes Properties is pleased to offer this two bedroom, two bathroom ocean front residence at Shipwatch on St. Simons Island. The sought-after Shipwatch Community is located on the stretch of beach between the historic Coast Guard Station and Massengale Park. With just 52 units in the complex, Shipwatch is a favorite destination for families, couples and snowbirds alike.

The master bedroom features a King bed en-suite with a combination tub/shower. The guest bedroom has a bunk set with a twin on top and a queen on bottom. The second bath is a full bathroom with tub/shower combination.

Amenities include secured gated entry, pool, covered parking, grass lawn, community grill and private boardwalk to the beach. Each condo has two bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, an open dining/ living room, kitchen and balcony. Unless specified, residences do not offer ocean views.

Check-Out: 10:00 am

• Any group gatherings and events at this property are limited to the number of occupants 5 persons.
• One dog allowed with the addition of the $100 pet fee.
• Parking is available for 2 vehicles.
•The beach is accessible via Shipwatch's private boardwalk. The Pier/Village area is 2 miles away

Minimum Age to Rent is 25 years old - this applies to all guests with the exception of multi-generational families.

What to Expect in your Unit:
• There are 2 TVs located in this property.
• Linens (Bath towels & bed sheets) are provided
• Starter Supply of Toilet Paper, Soap, Paper Towels and Trash Bag. Any additional supplies needed during tenancy will be the responsibility of the guest.

Bedding Includes:
1- King
1- Bunk (Twin on top and Queen on bottom)

Don’t forget to bring your beach chairs, beach towels and sunscreen!

The condo was clean, comfortable, and nicely furnished. Check in and check out procedures were clear and easy. Beach access was not as easy as I had hoped because of rainy weather that left the beach access trail underwater but the public beach access was only a very short walk away.

We had such a nice, quiet, relaxing weekend here. Short walk via boardwalk to the beach. Pool was also nice and the grounds were very well maintained. Will be back.

Very nice location

The property location was great. The pool was great. My complaint was the beach access. After the gate we had to walk 100 yards through ankle deep mud with our stuff. I wish this was mentioned in the description so we could have planned better.

Enjoyed our stay, found an old sports bra and a nose strip in the bedroom. Only think that stuck out that was negative.

It was a wonderful weekend celebrating my daughter’s 14th birthday! My only real complaint is the upstairs neighbor, who was extremely loud and kept me up each night. Other than that, the condo was exactly as listed. The pool was clean and the beach access was easy to get to.

Very nice

The condo itself was very nice. The condominium complex was very loud with people being loud and dogs barking constantly. The pool needed cleaning and the lock on the beach door did not work so my husband had to climb down through the foliage to let us in.

Very disappointed! The room has not been updated in years and both beds were extremely uncomfortable. The boardwalk to the beach is not actually a boardwalk to the beach. It’s a boardwalk to a flooded path that leads to the beach. CANNOT recommend this property.

Property was somewhat dated, and could use some upgrades. Window treatments were old and falling apart-adjustment for louver on one bedroom fell off, and plastic for lock to balcony slider did the same. Drapes on balcony slider were jury rigged on one side. Furniture seemed rather dirty. Location was great, as was the pool-path to beach was "marshy," so we didn't use it. HVAC worked great-much appreciated during the hot/humid days.

Less Than Mediocre

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo has not had any type of upgrades or replacements in years. The mattresses are deplorable. The description states there is a boardwalk to the beach. Actually, there is a boardwalk to a path that is overgrown and while we were there, flooded. We ended up packing all of our stuff in the car and driving to the coast guard station (public access) which would have been fine if we hadn’t been made to believe we could access it from the condo. SO disappointing.

They definitely need to remove Oceanfront as it’s very misleading. Also it really is not convenient to most places. The long walk to the beach was TERRIBLE and if you have anyone with you that has difficulties walking they won’t be able to go to the beach. It feels like you have to go through swampland to get there. Take lots of bug spray because your walk through the swamp will get you ate up by mosquitoes. Although I took my dogs they don’t bark constantly like the ones next door. Constant barking and also the condo above us must have had a ton of kids running and stomping all day and night long. It was definitely not a peaceful nor a quiet vacation. Although these things I understand can’t be helped by management it was still disappointing. The pool was nice and all in all the place was very clean. Just disappointed that the beach was so far away and not accessible to elderly people or any with difficulties walking very far. Definitely not a boardwalk to the beach. The weather was beautiful our entire stay so that was a plus. I just feel like the description was very misleading. It’s a very small condo. The elevator was broken on the day we left so that was inconvenient and back breaking with luggage. The beach access gate decided not to work one night and on that same evening the shower off area handle broke off and was spraying water every where. I’ve stayed in much nicer condos in st Simonds and was disappointed in this one.

This was a perfect little place for a winter vacation. First off, it's pet friendly and well maintained. They have a great ipen area with grills and allows room for pet's to roam around and kids to play. There is a path that lead tocthe beach. The people on property were super friendly amd we felt very safe during our stay. Definitely planning on coming back!
